Wordless Wednesday

Hi everyone! Thank you for all the purrs and prayers for Sammy. We got good news yesterday. He has a murmur, but not a gallop. Gallops are very bad so I am relieved. He can also get his dental now. I actually think I am going to bring him to this new place where he got his echocardiogram- they are amazing. It is an hour away, but he travels well.

Trouble can’t figure out why I accused her of biting Brody.

Penny is Mad

Hi everyone! Today is the last day of The A-Z Challenge. This month sure went by quickly. Z is for zyrtec, I highly recommend it for kitty allergies. Always ask your vet first though. Prancie has had allergies for years and was always puling off her tummy fir and her leg fur. Special diets helped a little, but it was tough to keep her from stealing another cat’s food. She had been on prednisone different times too, but I find the zyrtec safer for long term use. She gets 1/4 tablet ( original 5 mg, not extra strength or D) and now she has her furs back. Please check with your vet before starting this though.

Sorry everyone, but I am mad at my mom so no tips today. She took me to the vet yesterday. The tech put a thermometer where the sun don’t shine and they took my blood and I got a rabies vaccine!

Quit your complaining! At least you knew you would come home. I was scared! And the tech did the same thing to me with the thermometer. And  I got a rabies vaccine and a distemper shot.

They took my blood too. And the worst part was I am the biggest so I had to use the pink PTU. How humiliating.

I guess I had the easy part- hauling 3 cats around and paying the $500 bill.

Friendly Fill-Ins Week 154

Hi everyone! About the cat I was trying to rescue: Thank you to all who tried to help me with transportation. I got a call yesterday and was told a local home was found for him. It is better for him to stay local because he is afraid of people and it would be a long trip. I am thankful his life has been spared and he now has a forever home.

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I got my first cell phone in ____________.

2. I wish the word __________________ could be removed from the English language.

3. I’ll never outgrow _________.

4. _________ make(s) me feel old.
My answers:
1. I got my first cell phone in 1991. My hubby ( boyfriend at the time), got it for me. It was only for emergencies, service was very sparse and it came in a huge bag and plugged into the cigar lighter in the car. There was no charging a battery.
2. I wish the word ma’am could be removed from the English language. I am not a fan of hashtag either- it is a freakin’ pound sign. 🙂
3.I’ll never outgrow stuffed animals, games and needing my mommy.
4. Being called ma’am makes me feel old.

For my flashback, I have a photo of Trouble on her first day with us last year, April 21st.
Yes, I forgot her Gotcha Day. Poor kitty.  Happy Belated Gotcha Day Trouble!
The A-Z Blogging Challenge, we are up to the letter W. W is for water. I want to remind you if you give your cat tap water to be careful.I am lucky to have a well, but if I had water from town, I would purchase bottled water for us and the cats. A lot of times there is rust in local water from cleaning fire hydrants, there is also a lot of chemicals to keep it free of bacteria.
This week is also the Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop hosted by Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries and Meows in memory of Roby Sweet. Joanie wasn’t looking at me and Sammy’s eyes are lasers.

A-Z Blogging Challenge: J

Today is J day for the A-Z Blogging Challenge.J is for Jackson Galaxy. If your cat has any type of behavioral problem, I recommend Jackson’s advice. You can see videos on youtube or get his books from the library to save money. Most of you have probably seen his tv show, My Cat From Hell. He really speaks cat and understands why they do what they do.

We are also joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Trouble is thankful for her new toys. The secretary at my doctor’s office sent them for her when I went for my allergy shot the other day.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo prompt.

Hey you little brat!
Why don’t you go play with a cat?
Back away from my friend you little lass
or I am going to bite you in the *ss
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

A-Z Blogging Challenge: I

Hi everyone! Today is day I of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. I is for Insurance. If I only had one or two cats, I would buy them insurance, but I can’t afford it for my entire crew. There are several companies offering pet insurance now  and they all have their pros and cons. Here are two links to websites that break them down. Consumeradvocate  and Top10Pet Insurance

You have seen Trouble in “stuff” and “things”, she also gets into “odds and ends”.

A-Z Blogging Challenge-H

Hi everyone! Please don’t tell Penny that today is supposed to be her day to post.  Today we are focusing on the letter H in the A-Z Blogging Challenge. To see more blogs participating in the A-Z hop, click here.

Today is more of a warning than a money saving tip. Most of you buy your flea and tick products from the veterinarian which is much safer. This is one area, I don’t recommend cutting costs Some still buy products over the counter at places like Walmart. One of the big brands is Hartz, and I am warning you to not buy those products. I have read many horror stories about cats getting burns and even dying after these products were applied. Here is a reputable link for you to read more about it.Click here
