Hi everyone! Today is the last day of The A-Z Challenge. This month sure went by quickly. Z is for zyrtec, I highly recommend it for kitty allergies. Always ask your vet first though. Prancie has had allergies for years and was always puling off her tummy fir and her leg fur. Special diets helped a little, but it was tough to keep her from stealing another cat’s food. She had been on prednisone different times too, but I find the zyrtec safer for long term use. She gets 1/4 tablet ( original 5 mg, not extra strength or D) and now she has her furs back. Please check with your vet before starting this though.
Sorry everyone, but I am mad at my mom so no tips today. She took me to the vet yesterday. The tech put a thermometer where the sun don’t shine and they took my blood and I got a rabies vaccine!
Quit your complaining! At least you knew you would come home. I was scared! And the tech did the same thing to me with the thermometer. And I got a rabies vaccine and a distemper shot.
They took my blood too. And the worst part was I am the biggest so I had to use the pink PTU. How humiliating.
I guess I had the easy part- hauling 3 cats around and paying the $500 bill.
This is our magnolia tree. I used lunapic to make this art- I used emboss and then Kandinsky art effect.
And for The A-Z Blogging Challenge, today is the letter X, that is a toughie. I had to cheat a little though, I came up with eXam. Did you know a lot of vet clinics will give you a first exam for free. VCA offers a coupon for a free exam. Click here. Banfied also offers a coupon in some areas. Click here. I am not being compensated, I just want readers to know about these deals.
Hi everyone! About the cat I was trying to rescue: Thank you to all who tried to help me with transportation. I got a call yesterday and was told a local home was found for him. It is better for him to stay local because he is afraid of people and it would be a long trip. I am thankful his life has been spared and he now has a forever home.

1. I got my first cell phone in ____________.
2. I wish the word __________________ could be removed from the English language.
3. I’ll never outgrow _________.
4. _________ make(s) me feel old.
1. I got my first cell phone in 1991. My hubby ( boyfriend at the time), got it for me. It was only for emergencies, service was very sparse and it came in a huge bag and plugged into the cigar lighter in the car. There was no charging a battery.
2. I wish the word ma’am could be removed from the English language. I am not a fan of hashtag either- it is a freakin’ pound sign. 🙂
3.I’ll never outgrow stuffed animals, games and needing my mommy.
For my flashback, I have a photo of Trouble on her first day with us last year, April 21st.
Yes, I forgot her Gotcha Day. Poor kitty. Happy Belated Gotcha Day Trouble!
The A-Z Blogging Challenge, we are up to the letter W. W is for water. I want to remind you if you give your cat tap water to be careful.I am lucky to have a well, but if I had water from town, I would purchase bottled water for us and the cats. A lot of times there is rust in local water from cleaning fire hydrants, there is also a lot of chemicals to keep it free of bacteria.
This week is also the Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop hosted by Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries and Meows in memory of Roby Sweet. Joanie wasn’t looking at me and Sammy’s eyes are lasers.

Hi everyone! Today is day U of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. U is for used, I purchase used items for my cats at tag sales and on Craigslist. I have gotten like new cat trees from both.
Joanie is out of space for all her costumes. I guess we need a bigger box.
I am trying something new. Every week Messymimi lists words for us to make a story with for Words on Wednesday. There were 2 sets of words and I chose: hall, conscious, ad hoc, sign, yarn and share.
Her husband was busy working in the garden which was a big distraction. He was not conscious of what his wife was doing. They rarely discussed anything except for the occasional ad hoc meeting. Now she had grown close to this new guy in such a short time.
She lived for their stolen moments together in the afternoon. Sometimes he got out of bed for a snack like a typical guy. She was a little annoyed that he cut into their special time with food, but at least they were together and he was always willing to share.
The guilt was starting to get to her though. Her husband didn’t sign up for this behavior, he deserved the truth. He was a nice guy despite his obsession with gardening, there were a lot worse things to be obsessed about. They had been married 26 years and this was not the first time she had strayed. Each time was the same, she would meet a lonely soul walking down the street , their eyes would meet and she was hooked.
Even her pet cats were suspicious. One night, she had changed into her pajamas leaving her clothes on the bed. Sammy peed on them. Could he smell him?
Her husband was a forgiving man and after his initial anger passed, their relationship would remain intact. Deep inside he knew she would never change and had accepted it. For a while she would be content with her yarn, making crocheted creations and then she would get into trouble once again. For now, she would come clean. He would be coming in from the garden soon. She headed down the hall to tell him she had taken in another stray cat.
Hi everyone! I am redoing my post from Monday because it disappeared into cyberspace.
Millie hopes he is awww worthy in my slipper to join Comedy Plus’ Awww…Mondays.
And for The A-Z Blogging Challenge we are up to letter S. S is for senior discount. If you are 60 or over you should ask your vet about one. My hubby just turned 65 in January so we are enjoying the discount.
Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.
1. An Easter ( or Passover) memory that I have is ________________________.
2. I hope to purchase ________________ this year.
3. When the days are warm, I _________.
4. If the Easter Bunny visited my house, _________.
1. An Easter memory that I have is the priest coming to my grandparents’ house to bless the Easter food when I was very young. Now we have to bring the food to the church hall to get it blessed which we do every year. It is a beautiful tradition.
2. I hope to purchase a sleepypod this year to use for bringing my cats to the vet.
3.When the days are warm, I open the windows to let in some fresh air and give the kitties window whiffies.
4. If the Easter Bunny visited my house, he would think another Easter Bunny had already been here. I am stockpiled for Easter with bags of Dove chocolate and white chocolate m&m’s.
We want to wish all our Jewish friends a Happy Passover. Here are some Passover photos of Angel Phoebe
The A-Z Blogging Challenge, we are up to the letter Q. Q is for questions. Always question why the vet is recommending vaccines and treatments. For example, a cat doesn’t need a FELV vaccine if he/she is indoor only and doesn’t live with a FELV positive cat. Some places just want to make money.
And don’t forget to get your free Kindle version of I Am Not a Skunk, it is free until Saturday. click here

Hi everyone! Today is day O of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. O is for odors and when you live with a lot of cats, sometimes, there are odors. I won’t use scented litters because the smell bothers me and I certainly don’t want the cats to have to lick that stuff off their paws. I just add some baking soda to the litter box. It works, it is safe and it is cheap.
Sometimes one of them pees in a bad spot. Usually Sammy when he is mad at me and sometimes it is when a cat has a bladder infection. I have found washing items with color safe bleach gets the odor right out.
I like how Prancie’s tail is sticking out from under Brody.
I apologize if you are sick of hearing about Emmy’s book. Here is the synopsis: It is about a homeless kitty excited to find a
family, but must first convince them she is not a
skunk. It is loosely based on how the author’s cat,
Emmy came to live with her. ( ages 3-8).
I wish I could afford to give everyone a paperback version, but that is not possible. I have already been in contact with some of you to do reviews and I appreciate your help. I did make a Kindle version and it is available for free from Tuesday-Saturday this week. If anyone has time, I would be very grateful if you could do a review on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Goodreads.
I have some copies available for sale for $10 which includes shipping in the USA. If you want to purchase one please let me know in the comments and I will contact you. I will be having a giveaway on here soon and one on Goodreads too. Emmy and I thank you for your support.
And we are on the letter M for The A-Z Blogging Challenge. M is for military discount. If you or your spouse is or was in the military, you should ask if your vet clinic offers a military discount. You deserve it 🙂
