About pilch92

I'm a happily married 44 year old woman. My hubby ( David) and I have been married for 21 years (October 24, 1992). We started out with one cat and now have 15. 15 is my magic number ( David may like a slightly smaller one), but when any pass away, I don't replace the one that is lost, but I do rescue another. When we got married we were like most people and wanted a family. At some point we both decided that we love our fur family. Some people are made to be parents of 2-legged children and we are made to be parents of those with 4 legs ( although we did have one with 3 legs once-RIP Brina). It has taken me years to realize that this is my calling. I want to help all cats any way I can. If I can write about something that happened to one of my cats and help another in the process then I will be happy.

Penny’s Tips Volume 44

Hi everyone! I wasn’t going to do a post today because I am still mad that I got bumped last week for the sock post. And that she didn’t have socks made with ME on them. But, I don’t want to disappoint my loyal fans.

My tip today is a game. You will need several pennies ( at least 10) with different dates on them. And you will need 2 of each date. Then you flip them all over so their tails are up. The first person to play will flip over 2 to see if they match, if not, you flip them back over and the next player does the same. If you get a match, you get to keep them and take another turn. Keep playing until all the pennies are matched. The winner is the one with the most pennies at the end.

This would be fun for older kids. It is also good for adults to keep those brain cells working.

I am going to be turning the big 5-0 this month and I have been dreading it, but this new song ( well, it is about 4 months old) makes me feel better about it .Rob Thomas is my favorite singer ( other than Sinatra).

I love the line, ” I’m not afraid of getting older. I’m one less day from dying young. ”

And Brody hopes he is Awww….worthy.

1. I am able to _________________, but I won’t.

2. I won’t ever _____________ again.

3. The current chapter of my life would be titled _________.

4. I’ve been meaning to _________ but haven’t yet.
My answers:
1. I am able to pump my own gas, but I won’t. There are very dew full service stations left and I will drive for miles to get to one. I have joked about moving to NJ, they have a law that you can’t pump your own gas.
2. I won’t ever eat strawberries at night again. I guess I am getting old because they give me heartburn.
3. The current chapter of my life would be titled, I want to move to Alaska.
4.I’ve been meaning to do my spring cleaning, but haven’t yet.

Socksery

Hi everyone! My post is being bumped today for a review of custom socks.

And they don’t even have me on them!

*Disclosure-we received a pair of custom made socks from Socksery in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are our own.

They have Prancie on them because she is Dad’s little princess. Mom doesn’t wear socks often because she has hot flashes. Dad always wears socks though so she thought he would like them- and he does.

They are really well made and reasonable priced for a custom gift. And you can get any photo on them in a variety of color choices. To visit Socksery’s website, click here.

And they have a code on the website to save 10%.

It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! Before we get started, we want to give POTP to Sawyer of The Kitties Blue. Teddy’s mom made this nice badge for him. He needs a lot of purrs and prayers as he has seizures quite often and meds don’t seem to prevent them.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?

Rene (It’s All About the Cats) told me about a new book, Bailey No Ordinary Cat by Erin Merryn.  I am so glad she did. It is a small book filled with photos of the author and her 3 little girls with Bailey. I always think Joanie is so good with The Great One and she is, but Bailey was even more patient. In one photo he is being fed with a spoon while sitting in a high chair. You can check out a lot of his photos on his Instagram page, click here.  Even my hubby enjoyed the photos and was amazed at Bailey’s patience. Sadly, Bailey passed away a few months before the book came out, but he can live on through these adorable photos. I am sure each one will make you say awwww…..

This is a different Bailey than Bailey the Boat Cat, he also has a book.
