I also want to thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and support on Friday when I wrote about being disappointed in myself. I am thankful that you all care and feel I have accomplished something.

Penny wanted to take her selfie with her new dress on. Grammie bought it for her.
Not a selfie, but this was Tuffy’s first time sitting on my hubby’s lap. He stayed for almost an hour until my hubby could not resist and tried to pet him. Tuffy was not quite ready for that.

  2. We’re heartbroken for Melissa and Mudpie, and Melissa’s mom.

    We enjoyed everyone’s selfies, and the story about Tuffy not being ready for your hubby to pet him made us smile. We probably would have tried, too. 🙂

  5. Melissa’s mama was amazing and their relationship, so lovely. She will think of her mama every day with great joy that she had such an incredible mama who was so much like her. So lucky. Mama thinks of her mama all the time and the things her mama taught her and mama is still not over her grief of losing her mama long, long ago. I think that’s a sweet thing. I am not sure we ‘get over’ so much love and so many good memories.

    1. Yes, they were very close. I feel so bad for her. I am sorry your mama lost her mama. I worry a lot about losing mine and pray it won’t be anytime soon. XO

  6. That is so very sad for Melissa. I went right over and left my condolences as soon as I read it here.
    You have not just accomplished something, you have accomplished a great deal which means so much to your kitties, and all the others in your life.
    Sweet selfies, and Tuffy is getting braver.

  7. YAY! Tuffy has taken the first step to lap-cat-hood! Love all the other photos too. I just want to add that you are an amazing lady and that’s not just a compliment my dear – it’s the TRUTH!

  8. Silly Tuffy, if only he knew that legs and pets go together. I don’t like being petted anytime except when I’m on Lynn’s legs. The rest of the time I run because I think she’s going to grab me. So I guess I wonder is Brody single or is that his girlfriend in the picture. Precious

  9. I have never met Melissa and Mudpie but I am very sorry about Melissa’s Mom. Losing our Mom is beyond heartbreaking. I think of my Mom often every day and she has been gone since 1987.
    Bridget and Brody together… hmmm 🙂 Trouble in pink and Penny in blue. Grammie is the best! Very sweet with Tuffy and your Husband!

    Poor Tuffy. He will learn soon enough that pats feel good
    and then he will demand them all the time. Hope he discovers that sooner rather than later 😉

  11. I LOVED seeing Tuffy up there. Won’t be any time at all for Tuffy to ask for petting! Penny, well, EVERYONE looks great! She will no doubt say something about her new dress when it’s her turn to write.
    It was heart breaking about Melissa’s mom. I know how terrible it is to lose your parents. Both of mine are gone, and I think of them all the time.
    I will have to see if I got here Friday. Let me go look. XXOO

  17. OMCs your hubby has great restraint…it is so hard not to pet a kitty in your lap but I know kitties have their own agendas that changes in a nano second.

  24. We were so sad to Read about Melissa’s Mom. We want you to know that we think you are stupendous! We love you!
