Time for Plan Cee

Hi everyone! Today, I want to tell you about a great novel that is being released today.

*Disclaimer -I received a digital copy of Plan Cee in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

I am a fan of author Hilary Grossman’s blog and all 3 of her books. Plan Cee is the second in a series picking up right where Plan Bea leaves off. In Plan Bea, a woman and her mother heal their relationship. In Plan Cee, that woman’s friend is the main character. Cecilia seems to have a perfect life with a great job, loving husband and adorable twin boys.

At a wedding, she runs into her old flame that broke her heart. I am not going to give away any details about what she does. I will say that for most of the story, I hated Cecilia, but by the end I liked her. I know I can be too judgemental of people’s choices when I should only worry about my choices. This book made me realize that there are always reasons for choices we make and some have not been blessed to have had positive experiences as children and they carry that into adulthood.

A good book makes you feel strong emotions as well as making you think. I highly recommend Plan Cee as well as Plan Bea and Dangled Carat. Once again, Hilary Grossman doesn’t disappoint. Until March 11th, you can get a free digital copy of Plan Bea.

By day, Hilary Grossman works in the booze biz. By night she hangs out with her “characters.” She has an unhealthy addiction to denim and high heel shoes. She’s been known to walk into walls and fall up stairs. She only eats spicy foods and is obsessed with her cat, Lucy. She loves to find humor in everyday life. She likens life to a game of dodge ball – she tries to keep many balls in the air before they smack her in the face. She lives on Long Island.

Hilary is also having a giveaway for a $25 Starbucks gift card. Be sure to enter, if you don’t like coffee, they have lots of pastries and if you don’t live near one, you can order online.

Happy Gotcha Day Brody!!!!

Hi everyone! We are celebrating Brody’s Gotcha Day today, but apparently I have the day wrong. I was just looking for last year’s post about him and I now see it was February 23rd.

Here is the link to last year’s post.   This is one of his first photos, he was scared and got up as high as he could.

This is him now , all relaxed.

And now Brody has some things to say.

Hi, this is my first time getting to write. Thank you all for being my friends and making me feel so welcome. I want to thank beautiful Leia for being my girlfriend, I am so lucky.

And thank you to my Pipo, Minko and Mr. Jack Freckles for this beautiful card.

Mom said I could have a giveaway to thank everyone for being so sweet to me. Being that Dr. Seuss Day is coming up on Thursday, I thought I would do a Dr. Seuss giveaway.

There is a catnip mat, a blue water activated fish and a Cat in the hat styled hat. All you need to do is comment on today’s post and you will be entered in the giveaway. The winner will be announced on Thursday.

Phoebe said she isn’t going to call me a suck up anymore- isn’t that nice? And I want to say that I love Grammie very much too!

Mom says I can join Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays Blog Hop because I am awww..worthy.

Sleeping with the Fishes

Hi everyone! Brody is sleeping with the fishes.

Just kidding, I have been wanting to say that. Mom and Dad have been watching a mobster show on Netflix called Lilyhammer, it is like The Sopranos in Norway. There are even some of the same actors in it from The Sopranos.

A few weeks ago, we showed you the water activated fish we got for Christmas. If you missed it, click here.

Mom ordered 2 more and they finally came in. I am doing a giveaway today for one of them, just comment on this post by 9 PM ( EST) Wednesday. I will announce the winner on Thursday’s post.

I haven’t seen Grammie yet this week and the weather is going to be bad so I don’t know when I will get to see her. I love her so very much.

Plan Cee

Would you abandon your present for a second chance at your past?

Cecelia Reynolds has spent most of her life trying to forget the commitment-phobic man who broke her heart. It wasn’t easy, but eventually she did it, or so she thought…

As Cecelia and her husband gather for a friend’s wedding, her perfect world is thrown into complete turmoil. Even though it’s been twenty years since she last laid eyes on Keith Emerson, all it takes is one glance for her to feel emotions she thought were long gone. When Keith ends up officiating the ceremony, she quickly realizes his message of love is directed at her, not the happy couple. But can she believe him?

We live our entire lives thinking we know ourselves. But do we ever really?

As secrets and lies cause Cecelia’s world to spin completely out of control, she is forced to seek advice from the most unlikely ally. In the process, she must confront the demons of her past and the events that shaped her into the woman she is now. Will she finally learn the real meaning of love, friendship, and family?

While this book is a sequel to Plan Bea, it also reads as a standalone.

Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  We are thankful for all the purrs and prayers for my Dad. And thankful that his blood clot was caught in time. His appointment went well, he doesn’t need surgery, but he needs to take blood thinners forever. I am also thankful that my Grammie has spent a lot of time with us this week.

I wrote my poem about her for Sammy’s Poetry Day, featuring the letter G.

You all know I love Grammie lots
she is always in my thoughts.
My Grammie is very sweet
and she is always upbeat.
My Grammie is the best.
Now lets start that test.

Test time! The first one to get all the answers correct wins this catnip mat and adult coloring book ( tea themed). Mom will check the answers at 10 PM on Thursday night.

Festivus Details and Lots More

Hi everyone! I have a lot to tell you about today. I saw Grammie on Wednesday and I can’t wait to see her again, I love her so very much.

100_4943 It is a little chilly. Do I look OK in this hat?

Now for the Festivus details. The party will be on Friday, December 23rd. I will ask that you air your grievances in the comments. Cats can complain about everything, humans can complain about anything except cats ( it’s my party so my rules).

For the “feats of strength”, if you have a photo of you with a pole or wrestling please send it to me with permission to share it on the 23rd. My email is pilch92@aol.com. I will have a giveaway that day for all who comment. I hope you will all join the party.

Now it is time for Sammy’s Poetry Day and it breaks my heart he isn’t here for Z. This is for you, my friend.

My friend Sammy had a zest for life,
though he never took a wife
he had a special gal
and he was everyone’s pal.
May we all learn from him
let’s jump into life and swim.

I am having a giveaway for one of Mom’s crocheted pickle plus a glass pickle and some blank letters to Santa for you to fill in. Just comment on this post to be entered. I will announce the giveaway Sunday.

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Selfie Sunday with Phoebe

Hi everyone! I am having a great week. I got to see Grammie on Friday and look what she brought me us. I love her so very, very much.

Mom has gone crazy again and chopped up 7 more books. Plus she has been chasing us around the house to get photos of our Halloween costumes. I must say that I did a great job with mine- they will all be on display tomorrow. Look at all this nip Mom is drying and she has it in the dining room which is off-limits to us- phooey!

“The Great One” is going to be one on Tuesday. She has really cut into my Grammie time, but I feel bad for her because my Mom sings Soft Kitty to her all the time. And you know how bad my Mom sings. So I got her a birthday gift, a soft kitty with Penny’s voice singing ( not our Penny, the one from Big Bang Theory).

I decided to have a giveaway for The Day of the Dead even though we don’t celebrate it. We celebrate All Soul’s Day and All Saints Day, but they all recognize our departed loved ones.

100_9786  There is a catnip mat, a catnip ghost, a magnet and a button skull Mom made. Just comment on this post to be entered in the giveaway- I will announce the winner on Tuesday.

Today’s word for the #JHC is creature: 100_9596

Eye Am Having a Giveaway!

Hi everyone! My world is back to normal, I got to see my Grammie yesterday. I love her so very much. Her and Mom went to Old Navy to get some clothes for the brat “The Great One” .100_9691  I hope that didn’t cut into my treat money. Mom found a t-shirt for herself with a cat on it that looks like Spooky.

Today’s word for the #JHC is trick. Mom loves to play a trick on her niece every year, she always puts a plastic spider in the shower to scare her. So the other day when she was babysitting, she put one in the shower and later that day she got an email from her niece saying ” I hate you” with this photo:showerspider. Don’t worry, she doesn’t really hate her.

We are going to submit some Halloween photos for our friends’ Peaches and Paprika’s slideshow. It is open to all kitties so please join in the fun. You can read about it on their blog. Click here

100_9687 My giveaway is eyeball themed for Halloween. Sammy is posing with the prizes: A catnip mat, a crocheted eyeball and 3 plastic eyeballs for you to bat around.

Guest Post with Cat Scout Felix

Hi, everyone! Today we are very lucky to have a guest post by Cat Scout Felix. He has a very important post today.

33a--Felix-Cougar-Hat-Nov-2  Greetings, everyone!  Today I wanted to remind you about a very impawtant date coming up next month: National Feral Cat Day on October 16.  nfcd20162This annual event allows you to make a difference!!

National-Feral-Cat3 Alley Cat Allies sponsors this annual event to

feralsraise awareness about community cats and how you can help them survive.  If you would like to sponsor an event to raise awareness about feral cats, there is still time!  Alley Cat Allies recognizes blogs, tweets, volunteer projects, special  events, and they will provide you or your group with materials and tools to have a successful NFC Day!

Auntie Ellen and probably many of you have pawticipated in helping community cats in your area.  Every little bit of help really saves lives and improves the lives of our relatives who are not lucky enough to have homes.

If you think you can devote a day, a blogfest, an event or any other activity that will raise awareness about our feral relatives AND possibly get other peeps involved, GO FOR IT!

Every bit of information and networking that alleviates suffering and publicizes our feral relatives’ needs is a VERY GOOD THING>  One cat at a time, one community at a time….

Thank you Felix- that was excellent! If we all do something, it adds up. This is the first year I have been involved with TNR and I am glad I decided to try. Brody is happy about it too.

And one more thing-the question for P.S.Annie’s 19-Somethin Challenge is :Did you get into any toy or game crazes? I just had to have a Cabbage Patch Kid, I am not sure why being that I detest dolls. My Dad waited in a big line to get me one, mine is a preemie boy. I still have it, but I didn’t have time to get a photo.

Phoebe will announce the winner of the pirate giveaway tomorrow .dscf2519

Phoebe Tuesday

Hi everyone! I thought you might want to see my beautiful tummy on a Tuesday.

dscf2498 My Kingdom is crumbling. Look at this photo of Brody and a traitor Snowball.dscf2513See if I help her with baths anymore- phooey!

I am going to see Grammie on Wednesday, I love her so very much.

Penny wanted to say hi to Toby, but she was a little sleepy. dscf2520-2

Does anyone need an outfit for Meow Like a Pirate Day? dscf2519 I am going to have a giveaway- there is a red bandana, eye patch. gold earring and a mini sword. If you want to enter just say so in the comments. I will announce the winner on Thursday. I will have Mom add some crocheted toys too.

The question today for P.S. Annie’s 19-Something Blog Hop is: Did any of the men in your family have big sideburns? And the answer is no, the only 2 men were her Dad who had a receding hairline and her Grampa was bald.

Poor Noel has to get her rabies shot today ( every 3 years). I sure am glad that I hid that little card that came in the mail saying I was due for a 6 month senior checkup.
