Thanksgiving Giveaway-1

Hi everyone! Welcome to our first giveaway for Thanksgiving week, but first Joanie has something to say.

The gremlins had 2 babies and then went to hybernate now I iz stuck with them so I haz no time for book reviews.

Our first giveaway is a paperback copy of :Cats are Not Stupider on Jupiter: Vacuum Man vs. Cats (Mighty and Brennon Book 2) by Alexis Cleoford.

I reviewed book 1 of the series back in June, if you missed it you can click here

*Disclosure: I received a free Kindle version of the book in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

The second book is even better than the first. Mighty and Brennon are two house cats that want to enter a competition so they train themselves to swim. Another cat enters the competition with a Vacuum Man. After the contest, Vacuum Man somehow escapes and plans to destroy Jupiter which will affect the entire solar system. Will Mighty and Brennon be able to stop him?

This is a book written for older kids and young adults, but it is a fun read for any age. The author has set up a rafflecopter giveaway, to enter click here.

I apologize, but this giveaway is only open to US readers. The author will send the book to the winner.

If you don’t win, but want to purchase a copy you can get the Kindle version for 99 cents and the paperback for$8.99 at Amazon. Click here.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww… Mondays and the Kid Lit version of It’s Monday What Are You Reading hosted by Unleashing Readers and Teach Mentor Texts.

And our Spark for today is: “Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” Buddha

  1. Wow, that sounds like quite a story!

P.S. When I saw the gremlins with Joanie, for a moment, I thought THEY were going to be the giveaway so that Joanie could get back to book reviews.

  2. Nice giveway!! Joanie I think your house is being overrun by gremlins and you and your Mom better put them all in a big cage ASAP……oh and keep the boys away from the girls – I think that’s how they multiply (tee hee).

    Love and Hugs, Teddy

  3. So many gremlins to get to know, and so little time! It would interrupt reading to have so many.

That book sounds like fun, i will treat myself to the Kindle version.

  4. Rafflecopter and I don’t get along, dang it. The twitter thingy is where Rafflecopter and I part ways. But the book sounds purrfect!

  5. The book sounds fun. Joanie is so cute! I would like to win her! I love her Gremlin story, too. I can’t wait to see what happens with that!
Your Sparks is wonderful. Buddha’s teaching are great lessons, too. But, even in Mass we light candles exactly that way: one to the next. And, that is the theory with Sparks. This is perfect, my friend. Thank you. HUGS.

  6. Joanie, those sound like some good books. That is one of our mom’s favorite “sparks.” She shared that quote a few weeks ago. Good choice! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  7. WoW! Joanie, those things is taking over. I think there are more of them than CATS at your house! Good luck to all the US entrants! And Your Spark is beautiful!
    Thank You for sharing!

  8. Do you get paid well to babysit those gremlins, Joanie? We sure hope so! This book sounds so fun and fantastic. And, we love the quote you chose for Sparks. That is one of my favorite Buddha sayings, and it is so very true. Happy Monday!

  9. Awww on the kitty and the gremlins. So cute.

I’m reading Shallow Grave. It’s a good book.

Love your Sparks. It’s so true.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your peeps. ☺

  10. Good review on this book. It sounds interesting enough that we spied our Mom jotting down the name and author on her ever-expanding books-to-read list, which means we’ll get to hear it, too, because she reads to us almost every day. We can’t wait for her to finally finish her L-O-N-G It book. Mr. King sure knew how to spin a long-winded tale far off course back in the day, when that kind of writing was allowed. Love your Spark today!

    1. Maybe she will win this one 🙂 Stephen King is a good author, but I get too scared to read stuff like that.

  11. joanie….R ewe sure thatz knot Phil N hiz crew in dizguize ~~ 🙂 ♥♥

  12. Great Spark. We like that one. And Joanie, those gremlins are just so cute. The books sound good too. You all have a fine day.

  13. So gremlins are like bunnies? MOL!

The book sounds like a really good one! It’s really nice you’re having a giveaway too so someone else will get to enjoy the story! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  14. Oh Joanie, me’s seen little sticky fingered hoomans and they’re no fun. We don’t know ’bout gremlins, but me says stick ’em in a drawer and run fur da hills. MOL Big hugs

    Luv ya’

  15. I love your spark today. The visual perfectly personifies the purpose behind Spark! The books sound like fun reads. The photo of the kitty with the gremlin babies made me giggle. Thanks!
