Look at this adorable face and such big eyes. This is our guest, sequestered to a bathroom, but I already want to keep her.
Saturday morning I got a call from my Dr.’s office, it was the secretary that I had worked with in 2016 to TNR several cats. Last week , when I got my allergy shot, she told me she had more in need so I agreed to transport again. The shelter deals with ferals Tuesday- Thursday mornings, no appointment needed. Well, a male was attempting to mount this little one so she ran outside and was able to grab her. I am sure she was a drop off and not truly feral. She is so sweet and makes muffins when I pet her. Her cats were all upset and she didn’t have a place to keep her other than the garage and it is still chilly at night so of course I agreed.
I have named her Trouble because she is going to cause me lots of it with my husband. There was also a character on the tv show Grimm named Trouble, although it was spelled differently. I am hoping to someday have a Siamese and a cow kitty, but I will willingly accept any kitty God sends my way and he seems to send me a lot of black ones.
I am thankful that I only had to pose for one photo with this crocheted Q-tip for The A-Z Challenge. Also thankful that Mom didn’t try to stick it in my ear. We are impressed that some of you guessed that she was making a Q-tip. Good job Caren and Cody and Laila and Minchie
Hi everyone! We have a Chewy review today and we are joining the Chewy Blog Hop hosted by Sugar Golden Woofs.
*We received thePetSafe FroliCat Flik Interactive Teaser Pet Toy for free in exchange for a fair review.
Joanie had first dibs on playing with the PetSafe FroliCat Flik Interactive Teaser Pet Toy.
It has a string that spins around randomly, it shuts off automatically after 15 minutes or you can turn it off yourself. Joanie went right for it.
Sammy did tooMillie and Penny had some fun
I think Jinx had the most fun, he even had the string in his mouth and pulled the toy, but I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo. The only cat not thrilled with it was Prancie, she gave it a quick sniff and went on to work on tearing some paper ( her hobby). I would say 11 out of 12 is a hit.
They are on sale for $19.99 this month. And don’t forget Chewy always offers free 1-2 day shipping on orders over $49. Click here
If you have a cat that likes to chew things, I would be sure to hide the toy when you are not there to supervise so kitty doesn’t eat the string.
Joanie is modeling my N creation, a necktie. I had made a nectarine, but it was basically a small orange ball so I decided to make this instead.
My Spark for today is a quote I found on Pinterest, but it did not list the author. ” We are stars wrapped in skin-the light you are seeking has always been within. ” So lets all shine 🙂
Today’s Mewsic Moves Me is our choice for a theme so I chose songs with the word Star in the title.
Bad Company : Shooting Star (1975)
2. When You Wish Upon A Star (1940)-Pinocchio movie
3. Madonna’s Lucky Star ( 1983)
I am reading a sad memoir by Joyce Maynard titled The Best of Us: A Memoir. She is a famous author who was single for many years after divorcing her first husband. She finally meets and marries her true soul mate, but their time is cut short when he is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It is very sad, but reading about the start of their relationship has reminded me of my own and how much I love my husband. Please don’t misunderstand me, I always love him, but sometimes life gets in the way and it is easy to take someone for granted. This is a great reminder to not do that.
Blog the Change for Animals (#BtC4A) is a chance for bloggers to write about an animal related cause. I want to write about adopting more than one cat from the shelter.
It breaks my heart when families get torn apart ( people and animal). When I went to adopt Sammy, I did not know he had a sister. As soon as I saw he had a sibling, there was no way I was leaving her behind. I had only brought $70 for his adoption fee and I was already tempting fate adopting him without asking my husband’s input on the matter.
I didn’t ask because I knew he would say no, we already had 13 cats at the time. In matters concerning cats, I find it easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. I ended up paying Sammy’s fee, but leaving him there for the weekend because I did not want Joanie (Meghan, at the time) to be without him. I was also told they had another sibling that had already been adopted which haunts me still. I can’t believe shelters will separate families of cats and that people are willing to adopt just one. They were already 4 years old at the time and were obviously bonded.
These two have given me so much happiness. And my hubby is very close to both of them too.
If you are thinking of adopting a cat, how about adopting a bonded pair? I am sure you will not regret it.
