Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone. It has been a rough couple of weeks. I miss my best friend, Joanie. She used to kiss my forehead every day.

She left me all her toys. She also left me custody of Gremmie. He keeps kicking me and saying, “not the mama”.

Could you please check my back, I think he put a kick me sign on it.

I had a nice visit with Grammie on Easter.  I let her pet me even though she wouldn’t let me play on her phone.

I must say the Easter bunny is getting pretty cheap. He gave us one basket and it only had 2 small bags of treats in it for 12 of us.

Mom, her niece and Grammie went to see a medium last week. They have a tradition now of going on her sister’s birthday ( 3/29) to “talk” to her. Mom got a message from Joanie- she thanked her for letting her go and for being a good mom. She is with Sammy, but not thrilled about it and enjoyed her two years without him. The woman knew she couldn’t breathe and had trouble eating. And Nora, her niece’s dog came through too. Mom’s sister communicated too. If you are interested, the lady does it in person and online. We are not being compensated, but mom likes her, so she is spreading the word. Click here.

I have a funny story. Mom was very mad at dad. She says it is his fault that she ate cat food. The other day, Trouble was sitting on the couch so he gave her some food there. She didn’t eat it all and mom thought she cleaned it all up, but apparently, she missed a piece. Then mom felt something crunchy and thought she dropped a crunchy from her salad so without looking she popped it in her mouth. Gee mom, how do you think we feel having to eat that crap?

Today is B day on The A-Z Blogging Challenge. As you know, mom’s theme is Christmas. B is for books.

We have a lot of children’s Christmas books with cats in them.

One more thing- Dad and Grammie have not done their taxes yet. Mom might start trying to fill the paperwork out- she says that would get his attention.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Interesting report, Rosie! I’m sorry you are missing your Joanie. It is hard, the kitties and I know. Looks like a nice collection of cute kitty books for 🎄 Christmas! I remember the charming cat story you wrote for Christmas, too, Ellen! XO

    1. Thank you. I can’t believe I forgot to mention that- glad you like it. XO

  2. Wow, Rosie, that is a lot of ‘gabbing’!!
So sorry that you miss Joanie, she was well loved and everyone who knew her misses her so much, too.
Gremmie is being quite the pesky one…hope he settles down:)

Petcretary ate some dog food once, too, by mistake…even though some of our noms are ‘human grade’…well it’s still dog food!

  3. Ahhh sweet Rosie. We all miss dear Joanie. Please tell your mom I did something similar recently when I found what I thought was a little tidbit of tuna salad on the counter but realized as soon as I tasted it, it was some of the canned food for the dogs from their earlier meal. Blech…I can’t believe they love that stuff! 🤣

  4. Oh, Rosie, what great gossip today and in your maman’s defence, my catfood for diabetics smells really GOOD from Animonda, and mama used to say, WOW, Loulou, we could eat that, too. She never did, thank cod.

  5. I am sorry you are missing Joanie, Rosie. That was funny about the cat food!

  6. Rosie it’s tough when you lose your “bestie” but she was so sick and now she isn’t so that is a blessing. She will always be with you though AND your Mom too! We’re glad your Mom got some reassurance from the medium that her sister was fine and so was Joanie. Sending hugs to all of you and make sure your Mom doesn’t eat any more cat food by accident! Yuck!

    Hugs, Teddy

  7. Meowza, Rosie! That’s a lot of juicy gossip! I am sorry you miss Joanie but she will always be with you, and you will be okay. We haven’t done our taxes either and we use H&R Block to do them.

  8. Oh Rosie what a week you’ve had, I’m not sure which is the good end and which is the bad end of this Tale. The bad end is not getting those taxes done. The good end was Easter Sunday with your family. Glad your mommy was able to talk with her sister and sweet angel Joanie. We humans need lots of reassurance and this helps.

  9. Rosie, your mom will tell Gremmie to knock that stuff off! And by the way, when Admiral was still here, Mom put cat milk into her coffee. What an awakening THAT was.

  10. We have a funny family story from way back. There was a small bowl of kibble on the counter. It was out of the reach of Hazel (cat) who wasn’t allowed kibble. My brother and his wife came in. She thought it was people snacks and ate a handful. She went for the second handful saying “this is good, what is it?” when my brother told her it was cat food. She spit it out all over the place. I guess some of it tastes good to peeps.

  11. rosie, eye hope that at leest de crunchee waz knot burd flavorz. YEOW🙀
ewe bee lookin my tee gorgeouz bye de way… N tell gremmie him iz bad for sayin that….may bee ewe should give him ta rusty 😺🐟‼️💙

    1. Fish which mom hates more. 🙂 Thank you. Good idea- Uncle Rusty will whip him onto shape. 🙂 XO

  12. I am so sorry you are missing Joanie, Rosie♥ I miss her too… makes me sad she isn’t here anymore but I know she had to leave us because it was hard for her. She wasn’t doing well. It’s good to know that she was ready to go and that she let your Mom know through the medium. Gremmie will come around and find that you will be there for him. Funny about your Mom and the cat food! You had lots of news today, Rosie!

  13. OMCs so the famous question did the cat food taste like chicken? OMCs…
It is nice to feel in touch with loved ones in heaven
    Hugs Cecilia

  14. We miss Joanie too. Big healing hugs to mom and healing scritches to the kitties.

I laughed that mom ate cat food. I shouldn’t have, but I did. Well it’s happy Tuesday.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and more healing hugs to mom. xo ♥

  15. Dearest Rosie and family,
You sure miss those forehead kisses by Joanie… But you at least remember them—that is sweet.
Oh, those kicking signs ARE on your back, that is not nice.
    Hugs,
    Mariette + Kitties

  16. We miss sweet Joanie too ~ always will ~ sweet post ~ sorry about the cat food ~ hugs,

  17. Rosie, that’s so sweet how Joanie gave you a kiss every day. So sorry you lost your friend. I’m glad your Mom was able to communicate with her sister and Joanie. Hope your Mom doesn’t eat anymore cat food. Thanks for the update.

  18. Charlee: “We’re know how much you are missing Joanie, Rosie. We’re sure eventually Gremmie will stop kicking you.”
Oona: “Good thing nobody tries kicking Oona. Oona is a ninja!”
Chaplin: “That’s cool that you got a message from Joanie that she is all right. Dennis told us once how years ago they all went to an animal communicator and the messages from Tucker were mostly complaining about having to share Mama with Dennis.”
Charlee: “There’s only so much room on a lap I guess.”
Chaplin: “Your Mom is so lucky she got a free cat treat. We have to beg for ours and sometimes it doesn’t even work!”

  19. Poor Mom – what a funny story!!! We think we might like a taste of cat food, especially if it was a fishy one, but our Mom would gag if she got even a tidbit on her lips:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  20. The difference is you cats like the taste of that stuff. It’s not meant to taste good to people.

I’m very sad about Joanie, and I hope Gremmie calms down soon and begins to understand what’s going on.

  21. I know you’re grieving, Gremmie, but everyone is, so you have to be kind, patient, and grateful for all the love around you. 🙂 Thank you for the updates, Rosie, and give my love to your wonderful parents.

  22. I know you’re all still hurting over Joanie’s loss 🙁 I’m glad your mom was able to communicate with her though. I ate wet cat food once…I had just put some chocolate ice cream in a bowl and thought I had spilled some on the kitchen counter so I ate it. Nope…it was spilled wet food MOL!

  23. I know you miss sweet Joanie, she misses you too. Hugs. That was a funny story about the floor droppings LOL!

  24. The miniature humans who live with us now will eat the kibble if we don’t put it up. It’s pretty annoying that my food isn’t available 24/7 anymore. Purrs, Snoops

    1. Glad you got a chuckle and that I am not the only one who would do that. 🙂

  25. It must bee furry quiet without Joanie…..wee sorry Rosie…..

    1. Yes, it is sad without Joanie here. Gremmie is a little stinker. I might let his uncles Rusty and Rudy whip him into shape. Mom better stop eating or food. XO
