Friendly Fill-Ins Week 410

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I plan to _____________________ in April.
2. My favorite kind of muffin is __________________.
3. _________ always seems to happen when I _________.
4. _________ has been on my to-do list for a long time.
My answers:
1. I plan to go to the first book sale of the year in April.
2. My favorite kind of muffin is cranberry. There is a place in my niece’s town that makes the best muffin tops.
3. Napping always seems to happen when I read on the bed.
4.  Painting our enclosed porch and some ceilings has been on my to-do list for a long time. Well, hiring someone to do it.
Today is E day on The A-Z Blogging Challenge. As you know, the theme is Christmas. E is for eggnog. We usually buy a small container of it and thin it out with milk instead of rum.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is of Angel Sammy in December 2021. Yesterday, April 4th was 2 years since he left us.

    1. Yes, I was blessed to have him and his sister, Joanie- two of the sweetest cats ever. XO

  1. Angel Sammy was such a great hat model! We like your idea of adding more milk to egg nog – it can be a little “overwhelming” sometimes……….thanks for the filling in fun every week!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Yes, he was. Egg nog is too thick the way it comes. XO

  2. Yep, I gave up inside house painting 10 years ago when I hired someone to do 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Everything else will stay the same forever, lol.

    1. That was wise. I haven’t painted in years, but I originally did a lot of the painting in our house. XO

  3. SSNS and I have learned to stay away from all and any kind of home painting! Getting somebody that knows what thety are doing and doesn’t fear ladders is best. We haven’t had eggnog at Christmas for a long time. Always have loved this photo of Angel Sammy in this hat♥
    My Fill-Ins~
    1. I plan to enjoy some sunsets on our local beaches in April.
    2. My favorite kind of muffin is a basic plain muffin. With buttah.
    3. Chaos always seems to happen when I cook in the kitchen.
    4. Getting a new palm for the front yard has been on my to-do list for a long time.
    Enjoy your Friday, Meowing Crew!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I always put buttah on muffins. XO

  4. Such a sweet pic of Angel Sammy! We live in an apartment and the walls were yellowed since they use cheap paint on rentals. My hubby painted the entire apartment and it looks so much nicer and cleaner. My favorite muffin is blueberry.

  5. I adore visiting book sales, book stores, and libraries!
My Goodreads app on my phone allows images of books to load straight into my TBR list, then I check ’em out from my library.

  6. Angel Sammy wears his cap so well. It’s great he posed for you before he had to go. It’s also lovely that you continue to honour the departed. Love lasts forever.

  7. 1. I plan to take care of hubby in April. We’re waiting for the 18th to see what’s next.
    2. My favorite kind of muffin is blueberry.
    3. Goofing off always seems to happen when I plan to do chores.
    4. Cleaning the shutters and windows has been on my to-do list for a long time.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties and a healing hug to you. xo ♥

    1. Thank you for these answers. I am sorry your hubby is still having troubles. Same here for me with chores. Beware of bats in the shutters. We removed ours because bats kept moving in. XO

  8. Charlee: “Mmm, eggnog! Our Dada loves eggnog, but he can never remember what brand he likes, so every year he ends up buying a couple of different ones. He doesn’t usually put rum in it, usually he just sprinkles it with nutmeg.”
Chaplin: “Jack Sparrow would not approve.”
Oona: “Did someone say they saw a sparrow? Where? Oona wants to see!”
    Chaplin: “Different kind of Sparrow.”
Charlee: “Angel Sammy looked very cute in his hat! Like Bob or Doug McKenzie, according to Dada, whoever they are!”

  9. YAY for hiring a painter. They know all the tricks to doing it successfully with little mess

    Hugs Cecilia

  10. I LOVE seeing Sammy in that hat! I am so glad you posted that. It is just a precious sight.

  11. Adorable flashback. Eggnog is the one flavor of the holiday season I just can’t enjoy. No matter what I add to it I find the taste repulsive LOL.

    1. I only have it once, I like it, but I prefer drinks that are not sweet like coffee and water.

  12. Those were all good answers. I know you will have fun at the book sale.

  13. I wouldn’t mind trying a cranberry muffin.

Eggnog is good, no rum needed. It makes a great season coffee creamer, too, as a treat.

Sammy was so handsome. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!

    1. They are good. I had not that off it as a creamer- great idea. Thank you. I miss my boy. XO

  14. I think eggnog is best without alcohol. And my hope is to find a good homemade recipe, which I’ve not yet done.

It’s hard to believe Sammy has been gone so long or that my sweet Luna passed away almost ten years ago (!); we are blessed to have known such sweet kitties, aren’t we? Hugs, my dear.

    1. My grandmother made a great egg nog back in the 1970’s before we knew raw eggs could make you sick. Time goes by so quickly. XO

  15. Purrfect fill-ins and such a great picture of Angel Sammy, what a sweet boy he was✨Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞
