Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

We are thankful that Tallulah and Emmy are both feeling better. I already notice Emmy doing more of her night “hunting” and leaving me toys.I think that means her medicine is making her feel better.

And Mrs. Potato Head is glad she was able to outrun Gremmie. I don’t think she will be gremlin sitting anytime soon.

My Sammy thought he would try a poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, we had to write one based on this photo:

Cat Scouts is a lot of fun
We go hiking in the sun
We search for a perfect spot
you need to know how to tie a knot
It is good to be near water
we may even see an otter
Time to set up the tent
this will be quite the event.

And here are the Friendly Fill-ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two. Please say a prayer for her cat, Chloe Jo who is battling lymphoma.

  1. Great news all around and that poem is pretty great too! Tell Sammy to keep at it! Out here in Idaho, we know a lit’l bit about Mrs. Potato Head. She may be a lit’l curvy but she knows, “last one out of the woods gets eaten” so she hits the gym from time to time. 🙂

  2. So happy to hear the “patients” in the household are better! Looks like Mrs. Potato Head has figured out she just needs to stay one step ahead of Gremmie……..and we want to congratulate you on your FABULOUS poem today too! We love it. It made us think of Cat Scouts too because it would be amazing to explore that big cave wouldn’t it?? Thanks for participating – I knew you could write a super poem and you sure did!

    Love, Teddy

  3. Oh that is so terrific, that Emmy and Tallulah are feeling better. Emmy looks like she feels better. The poem is just terrific. It would be fun to visit a place like that. Have a most wonderful day.

  4. We are sure thankful you two are feeling better and we enjoyed the poem. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

    1. Oh! Good guess on my silly quiz. Thanks for playing. The item is actually soft and weighs practically nothing. Believe it or not, the tube helps remove the skins from garlic cloves. Works like a charm!

  5. I am so happy that Tallulah and Emmy are feeling well. We’re still sending them purrs and prayers! Now, Joanie, I’m thinking you may have to glue on Mrs. Potato Head’s face if you ever want her to babysit Gremmie again. And, Sammy, what a poem! I love how you tied it in with Cat Scouts. Purrfect!

  6. Very nice poem. And we are so happy and thankful to hear that Tallulah and Emmy are doing well.

  10. Hey, Sammy…what a terrific poem. Our Cooper Murphy wrote the poem, and it too was about Cat Scouts. Something about this photo just made us think of some of the terrific things Cat Scouts get to do! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

That is a fun poem. love how that picture inspired you to write about the things you do at Cat Scouts.

    Purrs for Chloe Jo, too.

    1. I am the only kitty in my family, now…th last of six.

    2. I have 5 kitty furblings, and 2 pup ones. All are now angels except Dalton:(
    Petcretary has 2 sibling(s).
    3. I am looking forward to trying to teach Dalton some good manners and tricks outside so he won’t pee on the carpet or floor…some training needs hands on work, and outside will be better with him having those issues. Pipo will love the warmer sunpuddles this Spring.

    4. The first sign of Spring this year was the snowdrops in bloom; now we have 4 brave crocuses. .

    1. Pipo, I am sorry most of your siblings are no longer with you. 🙁
Good luck teaching Dalton. Have a nice weekend! XO
