Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

We are thankful that Tallulah and Emmy are both feeling better. I already notice Emmy doing more of her night “hunting” and leaving me toys.I think that means her medicine is making her feel better.

And Mrs. Potato Head is glad she was able to outrun Gremmie. I don’t think she will be gremlin sitting anytime soon.

My Sammy thought he would try a poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, we had to write one based on this photo:

Cat Scouts is a lot of fun
We go hiking in the sun
We search for a perfect spot
you need to know how to tie a knot
It is good to be near water
we may even see an otter
Time to set up the tent
this will be quite the event.

And here are the Friendly Fill-ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two. Please say a prayer for her cat, Chloe Jo who is battling lymphoma.

Hi everyone! We want to wish a Happy Purim, Chag Purim Sameach! to all our Jewish friends. And to celebrate, Emmy has agreed to wear our Queen Esther costume this year.

And here are some our our past Queen Esthers-

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop and Sammy’s Poetry Day.We are thankful for all our friends who read our blog.

Here is our poem to go with this photo-

Sometimes you can hardly stay afloat
wishing you were on a boat.
Then you open your eyes
and see that you can improvise.
After a little rest
a lifeboat may come from the west.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

Hi everyone! Can you see me?

My Dad rigged up the bottom bunk bed for me to stay in when someone is not around to watch me. They are afraid I will get hurt jumping down from a chair.

I have lots of cozy blankies and pillows and a litter box too. Don’t worry, I am not a prisoner, I get out a lot.

I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful my Dad will do anything for me, mom will too.

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, featuring the letter W.

I wish everyone’s wishes would come true
than no one would ever be blue.
All cats and dogs would have a home
and they would not be allowed to roam.
No one would ever die
so there would be no reason to cry.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two. I think mom was hungry when she came up with hers.

Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We have lots to be thankful for this week.So we are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop .  I got to see my Grammie on Christmas Eve and Day and the day after that too .I love her so very much. And the good news is she was not run over by any reindeer. Although my Mom’s sister, Auntie Vanessa, had a close call with one. It seems a local restaurant had a display and one got away so she saw it running down the street. One can never be too careful this time of year.

The great one was here and she kissed me.I would show you a photo, but my Mom won’t let me. Although our Cookie Monster is now missing , I am not naming names, but I think you know who has it.

Grammie got me this hat- how do I look?

Daddy’s sister brought us a stocking with 12 bags of treats.

Snowball’s boyfriend Pierrot sent her this soft blanket.

And Penny’s sweetie, Toby sent 15 toys and a candy cane ornament! She is supposed to share, but she hasn’t yet.

Mom will show you some of her gifts on Saturday or Sunday. And she apologizes if she hasn’t commented on your blog lately. She thought everyone was taking a Christmas break until she realized new posts weren’t going to her email. Apparently, she shut off the notifications for WordPress ( she is not very bright).

And now for my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter C.

Christmas Tree
Some Christmas Trees are tall and slender
whoever decorated this one was on a bender.
My folks have had this tree for a few years
I bet it is the only one with Spock ears.

This is Dad’s tree for Star Trek ornaments, but now it is a Sci-fi tree because there are Dr. Who ornaments and a Lost in Space one too.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

Phoebe’s Poetry

Hi everyone! It has been a tough week, I haven’t seen my Grammie all week. I love her so very much. My poem will explain why I haven ‘t seen her.

DSCF2097 Apparently Mom is following the advice of the book she recommended the other day- The Joy of Leaving Your Sh*t All Over the Place.

I was so happy yesterday morning. Mom put Brody in a carrier and I thought she was bringing him to a new home, but he just went for his rabies shot. It has been 5 months since he was rescued so he was allowed to get his rabies shot. Mom also retested for FELV/FIV and that was negative. She is still waiting on heartworm results. He got basic blood work too and that was good.

Flat Scouts Maggie and Felix are visiting. They made this for their Mom

Today is my friend, Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter G, mine is titled The Great One ( that is what I call Grammie’s Great grand-daughter) .

Great one, you have been here almost  9 months
and I have only met you once.
My Grammie you have stolen
and that upsets my colon
All you do is drool
I can’t wait ’til your old enough for school
then I can have my Grammie back.

And that is why I never get to see my Grammie!!! Phooey!

Mom asked me to give you the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. She came up with the first 2 and our friend, Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

1. One quirk I have is ___________________.

2. My favorite comic strip is ________________________.

3. I am really happy                                           .
4. If I could go anywhere on a road trip, I would go to                                .

Poem Day!

Hi everyone! Grammie was here yesterday and look what she brought for me us. I love her so very, very much. Mom put them away though until we finish our other treats-phooey!

DSCF1912 (2)

Some of you thought it was me in that photo yesterday. I would never pee on Mom ( even though she may deserve it). It was Sammy, he sleeps on Mom’s head so he is very particular about how it smells. And some of you were wondering why Mom’s hair smelled like a dog- excellent question! When she watches “the great one”, she rocks her to sleep in the rocking chair. There was a pillow on the chair that she put behind her head, but she forgot the dog is always sitting there. She washes her hair every other day so it smelled of dog when she went to bed and Sammy didn’t like that. Long story, I bet you are sorry you asked.

Now for our friend Sammy’s poetry day, featuring the letter F. I have written a Haiku.

A water fountain

was sent anonymously

we are most grateful

Yup, someone sent us a stainless water fountain because they say Mom’s comment on another blog about wanting one because she is afraid to break a glass or a ceramic one. My birthday month keeps getting better and better.

We have a new friend over at P.S. Annie so we are joining her Throwback Thursday Blog Hop. Mom didn’t have time to scan an old photo so she went into her Walgreen’s photos and found this cute one of our Angel Stinky from May of 2010. We miss her:

Mom also forced me asked me to give you tomorrow’s Friendly Fill-Ins, she came up with the first 2 and her co-host Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

Feral’s Rainbow Forest Family

Happy Thursday everyone! Today is Phoebe’s day off- I forgot she was going to be traveling with some friends and her purrince too. Today they will be at the beach.:

Lucy and I decided to do a book review today because tomorrow we are lucky to have Cat Scout Felix doing a guest post. Lucy and I loved Feral’s Rainbow Forest Family by Pamela June Kimmell . It is a sweet children’s book about a cat whose name is Feral-well he hears someone call him that so he figures it is his name. He organizes a colony of feral cats so they can feel safe and loved.

I felt sad for Feral and all the cats and I hope that is how everyone feels that reads this. It is important to teach children respect for all living creatures. I also like how the book such cooperation in the community of cats and that everyone is needed and equally important. This is a great book for kids and adults. I am especially impressed that Pam did the illustrations too!

Right now you can get this book and help Bootsie at the same time, the author, Sammy’s Mom ( ) has donated a copy to Bootsie’s auction: .

Phoebe did make something  for her Grammie on before she left for her vacation:I LOVE MY GRAMMIE!

And the winner of the catnip mat and toys 015 is : -Congratulations! I hope Ladybird will share with the kitties 🙂
