Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I want to thank you all for the comforting words and prayers you left for me for the loss of Tallulah. Thank you to all who featured her on your blogs too. I also want to thank Ann of Zoolatry for the beautiful graphic.
And thanks for Pipo’s Mom for the 2 wonderful cards she made.
St Francis said, “Come little one, there is nothing more I can do for you here, don’t be afraid”.
St Francis gently picked up Tallulah and carried her into the kingdom of heaven, and when the little cat looked around, she realized everything St Francis told her on her journey was true….heaven was beautiful beyond what mere words could express.
Tallulah saw there was no pain, suffering, fear, sickness, hunger, thirst or sorrow, until she looked down and saw the family and friends she had left behind, and for a very brief moment, the little cat too, was filled with sorrow.
Then St Francis bestowed Tallulah with a set of gossamer wings and said, “Use them to return to your family, when their need is the greatest, as nothing can separate your bond of love. Hold each other in your hearts and your memories, until you are reunited again at heaven’s door.”
And when the little cat tried on her wings, she knew nothing was impossible…… when there is….love ❤️
I apologize if I forgot anyone. Please let me know if I did. I am truly blessed to have so my caring people in my life.
And we are thankful to Teddy’s mom who comes up with the best photo prompts for Sammy’s Poetry Day . Here is my poem based on this photo:
Ice cream, chocolate and whipped cream
I must be having a dream.
What do you mean it isn’t good for me
can’t you see the bananas and strawberry?
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. Thank you Lorianne for running the hop without me last week, you are an excellent co-host.
We had to help our sweet Tallulah to the Rainbow Bridge today. Before Christmas, she was peeing out of the box. Tests showed an infection and the start of kidney disease. She had 2 weeks of antibiotics and then an antibiotic shot. She was down to 4 pounds despite her thyroid being in normal range ( on meds). She had gained a little weight when checked at 2 other visits. The xray showed nothing and the ultrasound yesterday showed nothing. I knew when I was told she lost a pound in 9 days that it was time and the vet agreed. I asked for one more day. My husband and I both gave her all our attention yesterday. She watched cat videos on my laptop, chased the laser, ate treats and whipped cream. We had a day that I will never forget.
Tallulah showed up in 2006, I thought Jinx had escaped because they looked similar. She was always sweet to us. She was especially close to Noel and Polar Bear. I brought her to say goodbye to them and they each gave her a head bump, they knew.
I won’t be posting for a few days. My Friendly Fill-In co-host will still be running the hop tomorrow so you can check Four-Legged Furballs for the fill-ins.
Today is the last day of our costumes. I apologize that these are not great. These kitties were the most difficult to work with. Polar Bear refused to cooperate so he hired a stand-in. Drake is the stand-in , he is the mystery tock from last week. He has been with us for a year and a half. I haven’t written about him because I took him in with the promise that his family could take him back when they got settled, but they haven’t yet. And now we are attached so we hope they don’t. The spare bedroom is a time share between him and KaTwo. She is OK with the other cats, but will only eat in her room. He doesn’t have front claws, but still tries to fight everyone so he has to be segregated. He is sweet to humans though and loves it when I spend part of the night with him when my hubby snores me out of the room.

Noel is supposed to be a penguin. We will accept 2 different answers on this one from films made in 2005 and 2006.
Jinx is posing as himself, showing you his sharp claws, pardon the white panther in the background. (2018)

Remember, you have until Tuesday night 9PM EST to make your guesses on the 3 days of costumes. The winner will be announced on Halloween. Thank you to all who play along. I realize everyone is not into movies. Next year , we will do singers or tv shows 🙂

2. I want to be more ______________.
3. Once in a blue moon, I _________.
4. I have a large collection of _________.
1. I am going to get a much needed pedicure on Saturday.
2. I want to be more mindful. I feel like I have a ping pong ball in my head, I never concentrate fully on anything.
3. Once in a blue moon, I got out after 4PM. I know that sounds odd, but I rarely go out in the evening unless it is to a wake, wedding or something like that.
4. I have a large collection of Halloween decorations and I can’t wait to get them out for the season.
Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day. Most of you know that black cats are least likely to be adopted because many people think they are bad luck which is ridiculous. They are just as sweet and loving as any other color kitty.
