Love Changes Everything

I know this is Wordless Wednesday, but this is a great cause so I want to spread the word.
Do you have a pet from a shelter? If you do, you can add a photo of you and your pet to this amazing mural- hurry though, you only have a few days left to join. You can win prizes and your shelter can win a grant.

PETCO FOUNDATION TEAMS UP WITH MUTTS FOR “LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING” CAMPAIGN
PROMOTING PET ADOPTION
Campaign Invites Pet Adopters to be Part of the World’s Largest Photo Mosaic of Adopted Pets and Their People
While Aiming to Raise $3.1 Million to Save Animals

The “Love Changes Everything” Campaign kicks-off March 3 – 4 with a National Adoption Event Weekend in participating Petco and Unleashed by Petco stores and runs through April 1.  But there’s more—this year pet adopters can join the Petco Foundation in creating the world’s largest mosaic mural of adopted pets and their people. Adopters submitting photos at petcofoundation.org/snaplove will be eligible to win daily prizes, along with funding for the adoption organization that introduced them to their pet.

The mosaic, powered in partnership with WholeHearted pet food, will come to life in New York City’s Union Square Park on Sunday, March 25 from noon to 4:00 PM at the All for Love Adoption Rally featuring adoptable pets from more than twenty New York area animal welfare organizations. Attendees can meet MUTTS creator Patrick McDonnell, pose for pictures with the famed MUTTS characters Mooch and Earl and participate in other fun activities centered around celebrating pet adoption.

Animal lovers can support the “Love Changes Everything” campaign by making a donation in any Petco, Unleashed by Petco store or online at petcofoundation.org/love. Anyone who makes a donation of $10 or more will receive a limited-edition tote bag featuring MUTTS artwork specifically designed for the Love Changes Everything campaign.

  1. What a good and fun thing to do to promote shelter and the love they give to the furs they need to help until they get forever homes.

It took Petcretary 18:23 seconds to do the Dr Seuss puzzle.but she could not get the other puzzle to load up.
Congrats on that Versatile Blogger award!
You learned to drive in a Gremlin, maybe that is why that Gremmie at your place likes to do gremlin jobs,MOL!

  2. What a great project! One of our boys is rescued and the other is adopted from shelter. I will check out the website. Thank you for sharing 🙂

  3. That is a totally wonderful photo Miss Ellen of you with Sammy and Joanie. All of your kitties are lucky to be living at your house but shelter kids and rescues are super lucky!!!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. A wonderful cause! Great photo of you, Sammy and Joanie! All of our kitties came from the street. Petco is doing some wonderful things. We’ve been watching the 2018 American Rescue Dog Show on Hallmark Movies Now. It’s so cute. They have such cute categories such as Best in Kissing, Best in Listening, Best in Snoring, etc.! Have a beautiful day, Ellen! 😀

    1. Thank you. Those are fun categories 🙂 I hope you had a wonderful day too. XO

  5. What a wonderful cause. We got our Little Bit from our local shelter. She was the best baby girl ever. We sure miss her.

Have a purrfect Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  6. What a great cause. I wish it was going on here! We’ve all adopted cats from local shelters: my sister, my mom and I. Cute photo of you and your fur babies ?

  7. This is such a great cause and a wonderful idea! Eddy is my only furbaby whom myself or family did not directly find and rescue. I adopted Eddy from a local cat rescue, and if this elusive girl will let me snap a picture with her, we’ll definitely enter it (now sit still for the camera, Eddy!). I love this picture with you, Joanie, and Sammy. Thank you for spreading the word about this wonderful project!

    1. I hope Eddy will cooperate. Most of my cats showed up, but Joanie , Sammy and KaTwo were from shelters- so was Snowball. XO

  8. I wish there were so many other fund raisers like this one. Love DOES indeed change everything. The very fabric of your life. Makes it worth living.
