Ten Things of Thankful

Hi everyone! Today we are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and a new hop called Ten Things of Thankful that I read about on Messymimi’s blog.

First off, Phoebe made this for her Purrince who turns 3 on Sunday.

And now to list 10 things I am thankful for this week.

  1. I got to go to the mall and lunch with my mom, niece and the great one on Monday.
  2. I had a quiet 4th of July with my hubby.
  3. Emmy and Joanie both had good blood work results.
  4. I scored some free magazines from the library.
  5. My friend Suzanne of P.S.Annie sent me a wonderful box of books for the great one and a Teletubbies dvd for her too. She also included some books for my hubby and I to read.
  6. I am meeting a friend from college for breakfast today.I am thankful for her friendship all these years.
  7. I am thankful that God gave me a wonderful mother who is such a caring person.
  8. Fresh zucchini from the garden- so good.
  9. A new top loading washing machine with an agitator, our machine broke again last week and this time my hubby couldn’t fix it-yay!
  10. I am thankful for everyone who is reading this.

  1. Thank you, Ellen, for the shout out for PS Annie! 🙂 I appreciate it very much.

How blessed you are to have a mama that loves you and wants to spend time with you. That is just wonderful.

I hope that you have a fun visit with your friend over breakfast.

Your thankful list is great. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂

    1. Thank you for the box of goodies, it was like Christmas morning 🙂 I am blessed to have a wonderful Mom. I did enjoy breakfast with my friend. I hope you have a blessed weekend too.

  2. Well you certainly did have a week full of “thankfuls” !! Books, visits from family, new washing machine, veggies from your garden – – – life is good at the Pilch Castle!!!!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  3. Wow, that really sounds like a very thankful week at your house. Good things to be thankful for sure. Hope all of you have a really nice day.

  4. What gorgeous art, Phoebe! Your purrince will surely be drooling over your beauty. And what a wonderful list of things for which you are thankful. Your family is clearly very caring and full of wonderful people.

  5. I am thankful for you and your blog …. it brings me joy every day you post. Also I am jealous of your zucchini 🙂

  6. Those are some wonderful things to be thankful for. Congratulations on the new washing machine.

  7. What wonderful things to be thankful for!! So glad Joanie’s and Phoebes blood work is good. Love to you all!!

  8. Ellen! I was so happy to see you showing up on our Ten Things of Thankful blog today, it’s a wonderful place to share and feel encouraged! You came up with a great list too, you are good at recognizing the blessings in your life!

Your Monday trip to the mall and lunch with family sounded perfect. Sure wish my kids lived close enough to do that! We do text often at least. Our 4th of July was quiet too, except for the neighbors down the road who have been popping firecrackers since July 2nd, I’m hoping they run out soon, so are my furkids!!

Good blood work results are always a reason to be thankful, and a relief!

Books and magazines you didn’t have to pay for… the best! I really like sharing things we no longer have use for that someone else will enjoy.

Old and dear friendships are such a blessing. My older sister got to visit with her friend since 3rd grade this week, they had such a wonderful time! 🙂 I have just recently reconnected with friends from high school too.

Your mother is truly the best, and she adores your furkids! It doesn’t get better than that, treasure her for all the years she is with you. I miss mine so much, but I am thankful for the memories.

Fresh zucchini…mmmm! I love it. Papa Bear brought home a big bag from a friend at work this week. One of my favorite summer treats, and so healthy! Do you have a big garden?

A new washing machine is such a blessing, they don’t last as long as they used to, and it sure makes us smile when we can load a shiny new one and it works perfectly. They are much more energy and water saving too now. I will go back to a top loading one when/if my front loading one dies. Not the best design ever.

I join you in being thankful for all the TToT readers and posters who take the time to share their blessings each week. I end up smiling all weekend long and into next week as I read, and comment, and eventually get my own written too. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead! XOXO

    1. Thank you for visiting, I love your thankful hop, it is a wonderful idea. I am blessed to have a wonderful Mom and my niece close by too.

  10. I will totally add my ‘Welcome to the TToT’ to the above. It is a bloghop with a difference… good theme, interesting variety in posts and ways of expressing those things and people and places, and such that cause or otherwise make it to our lists of gratitude-enhancing stuff. (Clearly, some of us at the TToT will go for a variety of word counts to balance off a certain…. er eclecticism.
    ya know.

  11. Those are a lot of nice things to be thankful for. We all have so many things to be thankful for no matter what a day, week, month or year brings our way. Have a nice day tomorrow and a great week. Hugs and nose kisses to all from all of us.

  12. It’s lovely that you get to enjoy time with your mother. Every minute with our family is precious.

  13. Oh, boy, I switched a couple of letters and added some, and read that you’d gotten a new washing machine with an alligator! That made me laugh when I realized what I’d done. I’m so glad your machine didn’t come with an alligator.
How nice that you have maintained a friendship with a college friend. Lunches out with friends brighten our days.
When I was a young girl, steamed zucchini, with some salt and butter, was one of my favorite vegetables. I still like it, but I generally use it in some stir fry and it is more on crunchy side.
Yeah for good blood work results!

    1. That is funny 🙂 I am glad my washing machine didn’t come with an alligator too 🙂 I like zucchini both of those ways.

  14. You made me smile thinking of a fresh haul from the garden and the memory of my kids watching Teletubbies. Thanks

    1. You’re welcome. I watched the Teletubbies today with my great niece, she loves them.
