We have a Star Wars themed catnip mat, 2 catnip mice dressed as Princess Leia and Darth Vader, a plastic Darth Vader head filled with our home grown nip and a Star Wars keychain. ( Sorry, Joanie is not included). To enter just leave a comment on this post by Monday at 9 PM ( EST). Winner will be announced Tuesday. Sorry I can only afford to send this in the US because the keychain is quite heavy.
And I have to show this old photo of Angel Lucy as Princess Leia. And yes, I ate the cookies. She peed on me that night too- the only time she ever did so I guess she was mad about this photo.
We will join Sabi Saturday tomorrow. Be sure to stop by to see our Kentucky Derby hats for Sunday Selfies.
PS: Don’t tell my Trekkie hubby we are having a Star Wars giveaway.
This is the other rabbit statue someone was giving away the same day I got the purple one.
For my art this week, I used Ipiccy to make a coloring page out of one of Emmy’s illustrations from her book. I plan to do a reading at the local library and want to have a coloring page to give to the kids.
And for The A-Z Blogging Challenge, today is the letter L. Have you heard of Lucy Pet’s Cat Incredible litter? I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but when searching for an L, I found it and it sounds like good stuff. They have a coupon for $2 off on their website too. Click here.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the last of our Catburry Bunny auditions.
For my art this week, I have some masterpieces The Great One and I made this week with more paint chips 🙂
And for my Sabi Saturday is a bunny statue that I got for free. Someone had a bunch of things out in their yard marked free and this bunny was one of them. He has a small chip on his ear on the other side, but when sitting like this, he is perfect.
Next week, I will how you the other one that I got the same day.
And for The A-Z Blogging Challenge, we are on the letter F. F is for fluids, i realize most of you don’t need these for your cats, but many cats have kidney disease and do require subcutaneous fluids to be given at home. We did this for Spooky and Phoebe. I follow Frugalwoods blog and recently there was a post with cost saving tips for pets and someone wrote they get the fluids from a regular pharmacy like CVS instead of through the vet. I have done this with pills, but never fluids- apparently it is a lot cheaper, $2 versus $30 from the vet. Here is a link to the article. Click here.
I used Lunapic, “sadness effect”, I had never seen that effect before- I like it.
I also made it into a puzzle, the link is at the bottom of the post. Prancie is posing with an old Brownie camera that was my mom’s when she was younger. When cleaning out my grandparents’ home, I asked if I could keep it. It makes a nice decoration. Puzzle took me 28 minutes- I know you can all beat that.
I know this is late for Dr. Seuss Day this year, but I wanted to let you all know about this website I just discovered where you can make a sign with your choice of many Dr. Seuss characters. RedKid.Net
We are also joining Sabi Saturday, the new hop my Cactus Catz. You show something you have rescued from the trash or something you repurposed. To find out more, click here.
This wine glass has a crack in it, but instead of tossing it, I use it as a dust cover for the kitty my friend made me.
My art this week is my crocheted pussy willow vases. They are resting on my new cube organizer I scored on clearance at Target for only $24.49. It holds 6 cubes, but I haven’t filled it yet or found a place to put it. 🙂
I thought we would do another giveaway with the mat I made on Monday. Penny wanted to keep it, but I convinced her that she has more than enough mats. To enter, leave a comment on this post by 9 PM ( EST) on Sunday. Sorry I can only afford shipping to US residents.
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head wanted in on the fun too. I made a puzzle of them, click below to play.
