Hi everyone! Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter L and my Mom has written a special poem, but first I want to clear something up. Some of you asked if Brody had a selfie on Monday. He did and I purposely, accidentally omitted him. So for all you fans of the suck up, Brody here is his selfie.

Grammie was here on Wednesday, I love her so very much. And she brought me us another pound of Party Mix.

Here is Mom’s poem about Lucy:

Lucy
You loved to hiss
the litter box you’d often miss.
You were always on my lap
or on the bed we’d take a nap.
You always had lots of splainin to do,
you would have moved the football on Charlie Brown too.
My life is no longer the same,
I miss calling your name.
We had to say goodbye last Fall,
Lucy, I miss you most of all.

I can’t believe it has been almost a year since Lucy went to The Rainbow Bridge.

Mom is joining a new challenge for September hosted by P.S.Annie and McClendon Villa

It is called 19-Somethin’ . The first question is :What movie could you, or did you see over and over again when you were a teenager? My Mom reminded me that when I was 13, I couldn’t stop watching Annie. When I was older, Dirty Dancing was watched countless times. And of course, Peggy Sue Got Married, my all time favorite movie and when I first fell in love with Nicolas Cage.

Mom also wants me to give you the fill-ins for tomorrow, she came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

  2. What do you do with all this Party Mix your Grammie gives you?!?! She’s spoiling all of you! Brody can’t be THAT bad, Phoebe … have you given him a chance? At the very least, he’s adorable. Wonderful poem about Lucy … it brought a tear (or ten) to my eye.

  8. Oh, what a lovely post. Phoebe, I still hold out hope for you and Brody becoming best of friends. Do you think you’ll share some of that Party Mix with him?

    Your poem for Lucy is so very sweet. She sure was a special cat, Ellen. Today would have been my angel Rosie’s 23rd birthday. I’ve told myself that I will always strive to remember the good times with Rosie rather than focus on my sadness over losing her, which is why we’re having a bit of a birthday party over at our blog today. I know you have many, many happy memories with your Lucy. She will always be with you, in those memories and in spirit!

    Purrs to all of you! We will be seeing you tomorrow for the fill-ins, which we always look so forward to!

  27. When TW was young, they didn’t have moving pictures yet. MOL! She’s never been a big movie fan.

    1. My favorite way to exercise is running crazypants through the condo.
    2. Something I learned last week was the peeps deliberately order Chinese food I can’t eat.
    3. I am sentimental about my blue pillow at Spitty’s that he keeps letting other lady cats lay on. .
    4. Some people may find it surprising to know I really like getting kissed on the top of the head.

    Brody seems to have endeared himself to all but one pawrticular kitty…namely Phoebe,MOL! Come on, Phoebe you gotta let him friend you, he is a sweetie!

    The petcretary has not seen any of those movies…but she has heard of all of them, MOL! She is not really a fan of movies…goes to less than one or two a year, even lees on the TV or renting them…like nevfur, OMC!!

      We rarely go to the movies, I used to get a lot from Netflix, but now I am very cheap and get them from the library.

          2. I know she would be lonesome without you sweet boy. I hope you would stay inside where it is safe. I wish we could take care of you and your mum. I hope she doesn’t need surgery, that would be painful, but maybe she would feel better once she was healed. We are praying for her. XO and tummy tickles.

  31. LadyMum needed her knee replaced inn 2010 shee told mee. Butt Nylablue was well an shee did not want to bee inn Hospital an then laid uppy for weeks after….
    Of course shee reegretss not havin thee surgery now….thee Surgeon does not want to operate with her beein over wait an havin BP trubbull…..
    So shee struggullss on…..

        Now shee an Docktur are talkin about Reeduckshun or Mastectomee……color mee scaredykat!!!!!

        1. If your Mum has to be incapacitated for a long time then we will go get you ( well, someone would need to deliver you to the border). You are always welcome to stay with us while your mum recooperates. We hope she doesn’t need all that surgery, that sounds awful. XO
