The Twelve Cats of Christmas

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and Ten Things of Thankful.

Our art today is our Christmas card with all 12 of the kitties. Please feel free to take the card. I plan to email it and also mail them to those that signed up for the exchange. If you need cards, I highly recommend groupon. I got mine made at Staples for only $8 for a set of 25 purchased through groupon. ( I am not being compensated, I just like to share bargains).

Here are my thankfuls-

  1. Thankful to live in an area where we get a lot of snow and cold weather- even though the snow is messing up my plans to go to Emily Dickinson’s birthday party at her museum.
  2. Emmy continues to sit on my lap, when Joanie isn’t hogging it.
  3. For my ornament/decoration collection that I have acquired over my lifetime ( I will be showing some next Saturday).
  4. Coffee with a friend.
  5. Shopping with my mom.
  6. A hubby that puts the outside lights on the house and in the yard.
  7. Being able to give my great-niece a cookie and then getting to leave- I must admit I thought it was funny to see her jumping up and down on the couch ( a sugar high) when I was leaving.
  8. Groupon ( see above).
  9. A package from a dear friend that arrived this week.
  10. Coffee- the best beverage πŸ™‚

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Prancie’s Grumpy Giveaway!

    1. I love the smell and taste of coffee. Green tea is good too, I like most warm beverages πŸ™‚

  1. Keep your coffee grounds because they are extremely useful for loads for things from bags under your eyes to fertilizer … Depending on the item, you can also sprinkle coffee around things you want cats to keep their paws off…. doesn’t work with all cats, but most prefer to avoid it, though I don’t know why that is.

  2. What charming cats, especially the ones that don’t like to dress up! Ha, ha! Thanks for sharing them all at once in one place. I love the card.

  3. We love your card!
As far as your “thankfuls” go – Mummy says she agrees a zillion per cent with number 10.
But we can none of us understand number 1.

  4. We love your pretty holiday card with all the kitties on it AND we think you have a great list of thankfuls this week too!

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom

  5. You’ve had a very wonderful week, full of many treasures. Very good.

Have a fabulous weekend. Scritches to all the kitties. β™₯

  6. What a purrfect Christmas card! This is our first year participating in the card exchange, and we are so excited. We’ll be sending our snail mail cards out on Monday. And, as always, we love reading your Thankfuls. I also love having a snowy season, though many people don’t agree with me on that. Have a beautiful day!

  7. What a beautiful card !
Emily Dickinson’s birthday party ! Sounds like fun – in a quiet sort of way.
And I couldn’t agree more about coffee !

    1. Thank you. It was basically a tour of her home for free, it is all decorated for Christmas. And the cake was going to be coconut ( her recipe). I had to miss it though because of the weather πŸ™

  8. What a great card! I do wish sometimes that I drank coffee. I just don’t like the taste, but I’m sure it would help wake me up during times when I’m tired!

  9. your card is darling! I send waaaaay more than 25 so for me that is kind of expensive (plus stamps)…………..I found some left over from last year and bought some at the drug store but can’t mail any til around the 18th when we have money again!! lol

  10. The kitties looked their best for your Christmas card. ?β˜ƒοΈ I miss having more than one kitty. ~Λ†..Λ†~ β˜ƒοΈ?

  11. I laughed when I read #2 because of one of those chance mental smudges (or advancing age…lol) because I connected Item 1 with Item 2 and (for a fleeting second) had only one Emily in mind.
    thanks for the fun post

  12. I so laughed about the cookie – that’s the sort of thing I used to do when my nieces and nephews were younger.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful list of thankfuls.

  13. Is going to Emily Dickinson’s birthday party and annual event for you? That sounds like fun.
I always associate drinking hot cocoa on snowy days. Even back in the day when I used to drink a little coffee, it never was a favorite with me. I preferred tea or Postum then.
What a cute Christmas card showing all your cats in their seasonal attire.

    1. I have never been to Emily Dickinson’s house, but I want to go.
I like hot cocoa too πŸ™‚ Thank you, glad you like the card.
