Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today is behavior day and I want to say how proud I am of my kitties. There are 8 of the 15 that have an all access pass to the Christmas Tree and no one ever destroys it or climbs it. Once in a while, I find an ornament down, but I leave all the unbreakables on the bottom braches for them.

The kitties have started their letters to Santa: letter1Penny

and Snowball:letter2

I go to Macy’s a lot ( every week) so I thought it was OK to take 15 of these letters for Santa that they have out for the kids to fill in. They are free and there is no sign stating they are for kids only.

  1. I’m sure Joanie is very happy to be coneless for the holiday……! I’ve never climbed the Christmas tree here – Mom thought that was a real MIRACLE my first Christmas….instead I like curling up UNDER the tree. Besides I think that train that goes round and round under it is much more interesting than whatever is up IN the tree anyway!

    Hugs, Sammy

    1. Sammy, you have always been a good boy. You are so lucky to have a train that goes around your tree.

  2. Oh, hurrah for being cone-less! 🙂

As for the tree, we’re impressed. We might have helped the human redecorate her Christmas trees in past years, but the one we have now is small (4.5 feet) and up on a side table, and so far we’ve left it alone. So good job if 8 cats (who have access) in your house haven’t trashed yours yet. LOL.

  3. Great ‘Dear Santa’ letters! Penny, my Angel eats her boxes, so we have to replace them often enough…and pick up little pieces of spitty cardboard chunks too! She eats the newspapers too, and Chuck chews on the yoga mat…gross! Hope you and Snowball get what you wished for!

    1. There are lots of unbreakable balls and crocheted catnip ones on the bottom- it is like I beg them to mess with it and they won’t.

  4. What lovely letters to Santa! We hope your wishes come true. Wouldn’t it be PAWSOME if If every kitty could find a forever home! 🙂 Oh, ad boxes are a cool present too! 🙂 We’re so happy Joanie got rid of her stitches and cone. What great news! Thanks for sharing this lovely post! We love your blog! 🙂 xx Roxy & Tigerlino <3

  5. Eight out of fifteen kitties to leave the tree alone and not to redecorate it is very impressive! The kitties here are pretty good but they still take a few (usually nicer) bulbs down (i.e.break) every year. What can we say? They are naughty!! :p

the critters in the cottage xo

  6. I never touch the Christmas tree either. The peeps break all the ornaments. I can’t wait to see the looks on the people’s faces when they see the letters from the cats.

    1. Joanie is glad Ernie is coneless too. She wants to burn her cone in her dad’s brushfire in January, but I am saving it in case any of the cats need it.

  7. Dat’s cool. Official Santa letters, wow. And Macy’s every week? OMC Hope yous all havin’ a pawsum week. Weez so gld yous be ow furiends.

    Luv ya’

    1. My mom and I like to look in Macy’s a lot, but I only buy when something is on a big sale or clearance and I use coupons. Walking the mall is our cardio, but it is 40 minutes away so we only go once a week. We are very happy to have you as our friends.

  8. Sounds like all is going well at your house. I’ve never had a kitty climb the christmas tree. Of course there have been a few ornaments on the floor, but like you I put the unbreakables on the bottom branches.

    1. Phoebe did climb a tree the first year she was here, but it wasn’t decorated yet-luckily. We have one of those skinny trees now so it wouldn’t be as easy.

  9. I hope you get everything you all ask for in your letters to Santa. Mum puts the good ornaments on the top half of the tree and puts bells and unbreakables down the bottom for me to whap. The first couple of years, the tree was down more than it was up when me and Eric used to climb it. She thinks it fell over when Eric climbed up because he was 23 pounds and not as careful as me.

    1. You need to get going on those letters- you want to make sure it gets to the North Pole. Purrs to you too.

  10. Joanie, I am so glad to read about you being all better with no stitches and the dreaded cone a thing of the past, sweet girl.

  11. Awwwww! So cute! *cute alert* Its so cute to think of you taking all your fur-kid’s to Santa. Hope Joanie is able to toss her cone real soon. (((HUGS)))

Hope to see you in our blog hop this week too. *waves paw* :=o)

    1. If a cat was never into hiding and suddenly does, I think a trip to the vet is needed to find out what is wrong.
