Hi everyone! 100_9624 Mary M was the only one who noticed I had a bandage on in this photo yesterday. That other carrier was for me-phooey! I had to have blood stolen to test my thyroid again ( we get results later today). At least it was a pretty pink with glitters.

My Dad got me a big container of treats, he is so sweet. He even said I didn’t have to share, but mean Mom said I do have to share. I saw Grammie on Wednesday, I love her so very much. And I will see her again today too.

Today is Sammy’s Poetry Day featuring the letter Q. I have written a haiku about the talented kitty artist Quint.

Last year, someone surprised us with a Quint painting and we finally have the perfect frame for it. Noel is posing with it.

Today’s word for the #JHC is candy and Mom’s favorite snack this time of year is orange kit kats. Here is Prancie, our orange kit kat posing with one.dscf2618

They are actually white chocolate and only available at Target.

  3. We love chocolate…no matter the flavor or color, MOL! But…we are not supposed to have it anymore except the unsweetened dark kind which we can use in recipes:) So we still win,MOL! (Paleo diets are not the norm…)

    We hope your thyroid results come back good, Phoebe, yes we sure are purring for that.

    1. I am so impressed that you follow the Paleo diet-I only follow the seafood one- I eat everything I see.
      Thank you for the purrs, her thyroid is good now with 1/2 pill twice a day. She is starting to have kidney disease though, but it is good to catch early.

  5. I missed the glitter bandaid … but I caught the two carrier comment two days ago and figured SOMECAT was going to the vet with Joanie 🙂 Hope you are both okay. Yay for Grammies and yay for treats (separate and together)!

  6. I hope you have good results from your blood test, Phoebe. My mum doesn’t like orange flavour chocolate, so she thought yuk until your mum said it was white chocolate. Your Quint painting is lovely.

  7. Well, Phoebe, looking on the bright side, at least you got a new tub of treats and a visit from Grammie after your blood was stolen. We do hope that your results come back looking great! And we love your poem, your Quint painting, and your candy picture! You know, somehow this human has never heard of or seen orange Kit Kats. I guess I should visit Target more often.   8. We do hope that the results are good! Toby has been on his thyroid meds since last Sunday and is doing really well, eating much better.

    1. That is great that Toby is doing so well. I hope he is better about taking his meds than Phoebe is- we struggle twice a day.

  20. Oh sweet Phoebe, we thought you were sittin’ kinda funny like, but you know mommys eyes can’t see nuffin’. MOL We’re glad you’re okay tho’. We’d not heard of these kit kats befur till Bear cat, and mommy furinally sawe a commercial and figgered out they were some kind of chocolate candy bar. But we never ‘magined it was orange.     1. They come in regular chocolate, dark and white- but at Halloween the white ones are orange ( but not flavored orange). XO

  26. I hope your T4 tests are good, Phoebe. I have to get them myself, and it is sometimes difficult to get the doses right for even us big humans. Glad you got treats and a visit from Grammy ! And I hope Joanie’s ears are ok too !

    1. Thank you, yes, my Mom gets it too, but she has a slow thyroid- she wants to trade with me. Grammie brought treats today.

  32. Phoebe, we have our paws crossed and Mom is praying that your blood work comes back showing good levels for your thyroid. Our mom loves Quint’s prints as well.   33. TW got her bloods stolen today too! She’s also seen those orange Kit Kat’s all over in past year’s. She loves Kit Kat’s but not orange ones cos white chocolate isn’t chocolate at all.

  37. What a great haiku! Quint is a most talented artist for sure…lucky you to have an original. Phoebe, I hope you won’t have to join the Thyroid Club. Same with the kidney issues……although my doc said mine are very minor now. Pink bandages are very girlie!
