My answers:

  1. Before you have breakfast, you need to feed the cats- at least in this house 🙂
  2. After dinner, I like to have something sweet and coffee.
  3. Winter was pretty mild this year despite the 10 inches of snow we had yesterday. A lot of times we had rain instead of snow.
  4. Spring is almost here, the daffodils are peeking out of the ground.

    After dinner, I just like to drink water because I drink way too much coffee during the day.

  5. If you feed the cats first before eating yourself, the chances are BETTER that you can ENJOY your own meal without anyone giving you “sad eyes” while you try eat!!! No signs of Spring here but we are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready! Happy Friday!

    1. Good point, but they eat fast so I usually have to give them a little butter. Brody, Joanie and Emmy like their butter. Spring is coming. XO and love to you both.

  10. Years ago, when we lived in SC, I purchased a bushel of assorted daffodils and planted them on a hill – loved seeing them in spring and miss them. It’s too hot for them here, but I’m very glad you have some to enjoy.

    1. Sorry it is too hot for them there, I bet you have a lot of other pretty flowers though.

    1. I named KaTwo after my beloved KaChoo, she looked similar so she was like version 2 🙂

    I enjoy having a little something sweet after dinner, too. We don’t always have coffee, though. If we do, it’s decaf except on the weekends then it’s the real stuff. lol Our winter has been mild, but I’m ready for it to warm a bit after this cold snap. Thanks for hosting the Friday fun!   16. I used to have dessert and coffee after dinner long ago. Now I can’t eat anything it seems. Oh well. I think it has a lot to do with getting old.

  18. Kitty breakfast comes first here too, although it is really just a few treats, they line up at the bedroom door waiting for me, and let me know if it’s time to get up! 🙂

    We like something sweet after dinner too, probably a bad habit but a fun one. LIfe is short, so there has to be a little indulgence. 🙂

    I’m glad your winter was mild, up until yesterday anyway. There has to be at least one major snowstorm to make it feel like winter. Let’s hope that was the last one so your daffodils don’t get cold! Trees are starting to blossom here… so are my allergies, but it’s worth it! 🙂

    KaTwo looks so relaxed and peaceful! Don’t you wish we could always sleep like that? Have a lovely weekend Ellen, think warm thoughts to melt away that snow! XO

  20. Those are great fill-ins this week! Breakfast works that way here, too. And even though some are getting snow, snow, and more snow next week, Spring is coming!

  21. Your #1 is 100% accurate here as well! I don’t eat a bite until the kitties (both my indoor babies and outdoor strays and ferals) have been fed and watered, and their litter boxes scooped as well. I was so excited to see daffodils in my yard over the weekend, too, but then they got buried in snow. Come on, Spring, you can do it!

  23. Cute photo of KaTwo snoozing! We have to feed the cats first, because if we don’t park Manny and Chili Bruce in their room, they will climb all over our plates and try to steal our meals! They’ll follow any plate with food on it, so we lead them into their room with their food bowls, and close the door behind!

  25. #1: We are very well educated humans, that means furbabies come first. I am very glad to see we are not the only ones!
    #4: Daffodils really are a sign spring is near. I have to admit we cheat and have a bunch of them in a vase in our living room 😉

  27. We get fed before anything happens in the mornings here! Probably because we’ve already spent an hour trying to get Mommy up to feed us. Well, a certain white floofy kitty has. She’s very persistent!

  29. That’s an adorable shot of KaTwo! I used to give Bear his wet food treat first thing … then he woke me up earlier each morning until I gave up and started to give it to him around bedtime 🙂

  30. Totally agree with the first two – especially when it comes to our new boy, he’s very vocal if there’s not food in his bowl. I have a very sweet tooth so something sweet with my coffee is always a must.
    I love this time of the year when the daffodils start appearing and it’s just a waiting game to see the first bright splashes of yellow.

  32. Coffee is the only elixir of life i know, and the cats are fed first, last, and always (Mikey pees on stuff if the bowls are not always full of dry kibble).

  33. I usually get lunch before TW has breakfast. She always has dessert after dinner. Our winter was horrid. Almost three weeks of below freezing temps after Christmas. Don’t even remind us.

  34. We have only one cat, and she’s usually fed before we eat. I can eat my meal guilt-free knowing she’s waiting.

  36. Oh, I would love to see some daffodils…even just peeking!
    Oh yes, around here, all of the animals eat before the humans!! 🙂

    After I get back home I better make sure no shenanigans have taken place.
    Winter is like a bad party guest that won’t leave.
    Spring seems as if it’s come and gone many times this winter.
