Elvira Has Left to Join Her Dad

We had to say goodbye to Elvira today. She had two ulcerated tumors that were infected and the antibiotics were not clearing the infection.

Up until two days ago she was getting around the house, climbing the cat poles and eating well. Sadly, this weekend her health went downhill fast.

She did still enjoy her cat grass this morning. This in my last photo of her.

I cropped it so you wouldn’t have to see the awful tumors.

I am thankful I got to be her mom even though it was only for two years. I am sure her first dad was waiting for her in Heaven.

I will never forget you sweet Elvira.

Thank you to Ann, for the beautiful badge. And thank you to everyone who helped get her to me and with her vet care. And for all the purrs, prayers and woofs.

and thank you to Ingrid for this beautiful badge:

and Cecilia for this very sweet poem:

  11. When a soul leaves its mortal body, it is lifted by the wind unseen by adult human eyes, which have been cleared of the ability to experience magic. The soul floats to the nearest river, then rides the current until it enters the River of Life, which gently carries the soul to Rainbow Bridge. The new angel emerges from the water, having discarded all the pain and sorrow of mortal life (often transferred to those mortals nearest to them,). The soul then crosses the River of Life via the Rainbow Bridge and is reunited with their predecessors who loved them while they were mortal; then, a glorious reunion takes place. Their predecessors teach the new angel how to dream visit, to inhibit the bodies of furry and winged creatures so the angel can watch over their loved ones. So, if you see a bird or little animal watching you, or wake up from a dream feeling light of heart, know your angel has been with you. Death is not the end, it’s a temporary separation, and if you never stop loving the angel, you will be together again in a place called Rainbow Bridge

  12. I’m so sorry. It’s a shock when they decline unexpectedly, but I think they suffer the least that way. I’m thinking of you in your losses.

  17. Dearest Ellen…….nobody could have cared for her any better than you when her Dad passed away. It was a blessing that she had love and security in her last years thanks to your generosity and kindness. Her tumors took her physically but her spirit will be forever in your heart and that may be your comfort. She was a beautiful girl and now a beautiful Angel……….sending you hugs.

She was a beauty, and I’m glad that I chose to do a Meme of her last Friday. It’s a synchronicity in tribute to her. I always say it’s the love that lasts forever.

    Love, Wendy and Dani🌈
