3. A cat purring is music to my ears.
4. Home is where my cats are, my hubby too.
I had made a video of Lucy purring 2 days before she left us, I had marked it on youtube as private, but she had such a nice purr, I thought I would share this short video.

  4. Lucy really did have a special little “rattling” kind of purr – obviously a happy girl to have her Mom tell her she’s special… I also love the smell of coffee in the morning – AND I agree that there’s “no place like home” !! Happy Friday.

    1. My favorite scent is kitty feets. Z Cat’s little feet pads smelled like fritos. All our cats feets smelled like fritos. Bacon smells pretty dang good too!
    2. I hope to have laughs and good pizza with the group of neighbors that we get together with once a month this weekend. We always have fun!
    3. Smokey Robinson’s songs are music to my ears. Especially his song, Just to See Her. Time Flies and Quiet Storm, too.
    4. Home is where you should feel safe.

  17. I don’t have a hubby, but past that, I relate to every single one of your fill-ins here! I love the smell of coffee, but I can’t stand the taste of it. I think I might be in a minority there. And what a beautiful purr from beautiful Lucy. I am so glad you have this memory of her, and that you shared it with us. Have a beautiful Friday!

  19. What a sweet purring machine Lucy was. Isn’t it wonderful to have videos and the blog to go back and reminisce.

    Ellen, thank you so much for your sweet card and kind words you sent upon Minchie’s crossing to The Bridge. Only another cat owner could know how I feel at this sad time. Having had Minchie by my side for all those years, I knew I would miss him dearly. However, the feelings I felt upon the loss of my cherished mancat were quite unprepared. Thanks once again for your sympathy and your friendship. Peggy

  40. Our Humans are always saying how soothing cat purrs are, and that’s a good thing because with five of us in the house there’s a lot of purring going on!

  41. Coffee–yes! I used to go to a coffee shop that roasted their own coffee beans, and oh, it was heavenly when they had the roaster going. And there truly is no sound better than a cat’s purr 🙂

  42. How special to have Lucy’s purr on video. The mom has a recording of one of the cats that came before us meowing. She’ll listen to it every once and awhile…brings back memories…..
