  1. Awwww what a sweet purr. I am so glad you have this video, Ellen.

I love the smell of coffee, too. I can’t stand the taste of it, but I love the smell of it.

What are you reading this weekend?

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Thank you, I wish I had a video of all my angels. I have a book on decluttering- always trying to inspire myself and some memoirs. XO

  2. 1. My favorite scent is baking bread. like coffee, too

    2. I hope to have an ordinary quiet tie at my work this weekend.

    3. Silence in the halls at my work is music to my ears. Purrs are great too…and little doggy happy whines:)
    4. Home is where I feel comfortable and usually uninhibited…but in a good way, MOL!

  3. Lucy really did have a special little “rattling” kind of purr – obviously a happy girl to have her Mom tell her she’s special… I also love the smell of coffee in the morning – AND I agree that there’s “no place like home” !! Happy Friday.

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  4. OhMyGosh, my heart melted with you and Lucy and the purr β™₯
    I like your #4.
    1. My favorite scent is kitty feets. Z Cat’s little feet pads smelled like fritos. All our cats feets smelled like fritos. Bacon smells pretty dang good too!
    2. I hope to have laughs and good pizza with the group of neighbors that we get together with once a month this weekend. We always have fun!
    3. Smokey Robinson’s songs are music to my ears. Especially his song, Just to See Her. Time Flies and Quiet Storm, too.
    4. Home is where you should feel safe.
    Hugs, Pix

    1. Thank you, I miss my Lucy. Thank you for these great fill-in answers, I know what you mean about the frito smelling paws πŸ™‚
I agree home is where one should feel safe, I wish everyone could. I hope you have a nice weekend and enjoy that pizza! XO

  5. Lucy had the sweetest purr! It brought tears to my eyes. She was so precious. So sorry she had to leave. We’re glad you have the video as a remembrance.

  6. Ms. Ellen, thank you so very much for sharing Ms. Lucy purring… that sort of reminded me of Mr. M… he had an exceptional purr… I wish we had a video of him purring, too. >^.^<

  7. Lucy was talking to you. Nice purr indeed. What a beautiful memory.

Love your fill-in as usual. I could have answered #4 for you and anyone that knows you know the answer to this question.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. β™₯

  8. I don’t have a hubby, but past that, I relate to every single one of your fill-ins here! I love the smell of coffee, but I can’t stand the taste of it. I think I might be in a minority there. And what a beautiful purr from beautiful Lucy. I am so glad you have this memory of her, and that you shared it with us. Have a beautiful Friday!

  9. We have the same answers for #3 and #4, but I forgot to include my hubby in #4. Of course him too πŸ™‚

Hope you have a great weekend!

  10. What a sweet purring machine Lucy was. Isn’t it wonderful to have videos and the blog to go back and reminisce.

Ellen, thank you so much for your sweet card and kind words you sent upon Minchie’s crossing to The Bridge. Only another cat owner could know how I feel at this sad time. Having had Minchie by my side for all those years, I knew I would miss him dearly. However, the feelings I felt upon the loss of my cherished mancat were quite unprepared. Thanks once again for your sympathy and your friendship. Peggy

  11. Ohhhh I love the aroma of coffee too. On the weekend we treat ourselves to
Peet’s Major Dickinson and I ground the beans
    Purring is so soothing

  12. Our mommy loves the sound of a kitty purr too. It’s wonderful you have that video to always remember Lucy’s purr. Hope you have a great Sadieday!

  13. Our Humans are always saying how soothing cat purrs are, and that’s a good thing because with five of us in the house there’s a lot of purring going on!

  14. Coffee–yes! I used to go to a coffee shop that roasted their own coffee beans, and oh, it was heavenly when they had the roaster going. And there truly is no sound better than a cat’s purr πŸ™‚

  15. How special to have Lucy’s purr on video. The mom has a recording of one of the cats that came before us meowing. She’ll listen to it every once and awhile…brings back memories…..
