Hi everyone, today is Chewy Tuesday, but first Phoebe has an announcement.

Thank you for all the purrs and prayers for my dental. I ended up going out in the freezing cold and starving for nothing. The vet detected a murmur that wasn’t there 2 weeks ago, she was still willing to do my dental, but Mom is a worry wart and wants me to get an ultrasound first. They only come once a month so that will be March 4th- it best be warmer by then. My Grammie was going to come with Mom to pick me up today, but she didn’t because I got picked up early. I love my Grammie so very much.

  5. Poor Phoebe – all that starvation for nuthin’! But its good for your mom to be safe – we’re going to be praying that your heart will be fine. After all, a heart as big as yours has got to be fine!!! Pawkisses to Penny from me and to Millie from BobbieSue!!

  6. Phoebe, I have a murmur too so maybe we can be “Murmur Buddies” !! My vet has been keeping a close eye on me with the thyroid problem and the meds but so far my murmur is NOT any worse. I hope you’ll be just fine and dandy – my teeth are in super good shape so I haven’t had to have a dental – my doc scraped a little tartar off once a while back but the rest of my gums and teeth are in perfect shape!

  10. I’m sorry you had to starve and freeze for nothing, Phoebe. But, at least your vet checked first and found the heart murmur so that it can be investigated. We’ll be purring and praying that your ultrasound goes well in March.

    And, I’m glad you all got to try the catnip dental Greenies. You’ve sure convinced us that they must be scrumptious! Purrs!

    1. We had chicken flavor once and they were good, but Mom is cheap and doesn’t usually buy Greenies.

  13. I always liked the Greenies, but now that I have no toothies, M only gives me things soft or things that I can gum. If it’s too hard or too big she doesn’t give it to me. Greenies, when I had them, were delish!!!

  21. We love greenies too! Phoebe, we know a lot of cats that have heart murmurs (including Esme!). Some times the heart can even change just from the stress of being at the vet’s! We hope it is just that for Phoebe. Congrats to the winners. We know Laila and Minchie will love it 🙂

    1. I am hoping it was the stress too because I wasn’t there when they listened to her heart, she had been there waiting almost 3 hours and was scared. XO

  22. I am sorry you got starved for nothing and hope the ultrasound shows nothing to worry about. My mum has got a heart murmur too. It was only discovered 5 years ago when she went for pre op tests but they think she has had it from birth.

    1. I am surprised your Mum’s didn’t get detected for so long. Now I have to starve again for the ultrasound- phooey!

  28. The Mom can see why Greenies are the #1 vet recommended dental chew. Chewy sent some other kind of dental treat and they didn’t hold a candle to Greenies! You cans reads my purview about them!

  31. Its good they do check things out furst…years ago, our Angel Suki went for a dental…they found early stage kidney disease…

    Purring that that murmur will not be anything too bad.

  33. Our cat Tigger supposedly had a slight heart murmur but it was never an issue with him. I hope you are okay Phoebe. Maybe some Greenies will help.
