We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and The Pet Parade.

I used Fotor, blue effect on Noel’s photo because the results of Noel’s ultrasound have left me blue.

The internist that did the ultrasound thinks it is a mammary tumor. The ultrasound showed that there is cancer in some lymph nodes and her intestines. There is nothing I can do, but spoil her and keep her comfortable. I will know when it is time. For now she is eating and playing so I will take it day by day.  I will not let her suffer. Thank you for all the purrs and prayers.

PS: I asked about steroids, but the vet feels she will be at risk of infection and it would not benefit her.

  8. So very sorry to hear about Noel’s diagnosis – I think you thought it would be a tough one. I know you will keep her comfortable and with all your knowledge and experience with kitties will know when she is ready. We send lots of prayers and strength……The photo is sweet.

  17. Noel is beautiful as is the art. We are so sorry to hear this news. If only the cancer had not spread. Mammary tumor removal is pretty straight forward. We all know you will do everything just right for Noel. Mom is so, so sorry and will add Noel to her prayers. We all send her lots of purrs and lots of POTP.   24. Oh Ellen, what upending news! Nature can be so ungracious to the elderly, including cats. There are so many varieties of cancer, and each one brings its own devastating news. I wil pray for your strength and Noel’s. Please keep us posted. I went through this with Coolidge when his diabetes and his urinary tract infection took him down. I treated him for nine years and be lived to be 17!
