Joanie took her selfie when The Great One was here the other day. We had all the costumes and props out on the bed. Somehow the plastic handcuffs ended up not getting put away. My hubby rolled on them during the night and asked me why there were handcuffs in bed. 🙂
My art today is from The Great One. We made Halloween cards. We used scrapbook paper, foam bats, q-tips and skull stickers. A leaf came in on my shoe so she used that too. There was no convincing her to take one of the skulls off the bat that had four and put it on the one with none. 🙂
Prancie approves of the Halloween blanket and black cats.
We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that The Great One enjoyed her first day of preschool. She is almost four and will go 3 days a week. I am also thankful I got to go over and take her first day photo. I took my niece’s ( her mother) first day photo from preschool -college and I hope to do the same for her and her little sister.
Here’s a Flashback Photo of my Angel from September 2014 on Meow Like a Pirate Day. We are looking forward to that on the 19th and will be having a giveaway.
I am a few days late for this special day, but better late than never. Deborah Barnes founded Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day in 2015, in tribute to her beloved Mr. Jazz who went to The Rainbow Bridge in 2013. It is a day to honor all our furbabies that are no longer with us. They truly do leave pawprints on our hearts. We are joining the hop, click here.
Since I started blogging in 2014, six of my kitties have left us.
I also want to remember my beloved KaChoo who was with us from 1994-2010
Hi everyone! I am ashamed to admit that I forgot yesterday was Rainbow Bridge Memorial Day. I will be doing a post for it on Saturday. I think it is good to remember those that are no longer with us that left pawprints on our hearts.
We also celebrated her cat, Nixon’s 13th birthday ( at her house). Nixon* lived with us for the first 5 years of his life.
My niece got him freshman year in college, but couldn’t keep him in the dorm so he lived here. And she lived here too and commuted to school after her first year of college. *Nixon was named after the Red Sox player, Trot Nixon, not the former president 🙂
My tip today is more of a superstition. Did you know that if you give someone a gift of a purse or wallet that you are supposed to put money in it for good luck? I recommend you put a penny in because you already spent money on a gift so no need to give a larger amount.
Mom bought The Great One a unicorn purse last week when they went (pre)school clothes shopping, Mom put a penny in it and boy did The Great One get mad at her- she didn’t want a penny in her new purse, she had other things to put in it. She ended up giving the penny to her mom for doing a good workout 🙂
Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

3. _________ is my favorite thing about myself.
4. These days, my biggest priority is _________.
1. I am a stickler for thank-you cards/notes.I always send them and I get annoyed when others don’t for things like weddings and showers.
2. By the end of August, I plan to still have Noel with me. I am really trying to be positive, but her appetite comes and goes now which scares me.
3. My optimism is my favorite thing about myself.
4. These days, my biggest priority is Noel.
Noel enjoyed The Great One’s visit. I told her to be very gentle and she was. She kept bringing her toys. And she even wanted a photo with her which is very unusual. She wanted her to have the crown to be the queen.
Joanie is happy that The Great One came over to play with her. I am happy too because she didn’t want to come over for several months. I go to her house to see her often, but she is like me in preferring to be home. Well, she finally decided she needed to come see Joanie.
We played costume shop and all these stuffies bought their Halloween costumes 🙂
Millie made a big mistake when he decided to be friendly. He got dressed as Elsa.
More art from The Great One. I helped with the 2 shark ones because she doesn’t like sharks, all the rest are hers. They were wooden ornaments, but I changed them to key rings to give to her Dad and grandpas for Father’s Day. She decided to keep a mermaid for herself 🙂
Sammy thanks you all for the POTP.
