Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! The coast is finally clear.

Two visits in less than a week’s time is too much for my little nerves. I checked mom’s calendar, and it looks like I am safe until July 10th.

This week was 4th of July week because the kids will be with their grandparents for the actual 4th. Mom has a different theme planned for each week of the summer like Christmas in July, Halloween in August, mermaid week, fairy week, etc.

Today they made red, white and blue chocolate covered popcorn.

They had the tent up today too, so mom made patriotic s’mores.

And mom printed out some 4th of July coloring pages for them too. If you want them, you can go to the blog, Skip To My Lou and print some-click here.

I have good news to report. Dad did some decluttering over the weekend. Our town had a hazardous waste day, so he got rid of some pesticides, oil and fertilizer. Mom was happy about that for a day then she started bugging him about going through the boxes again. She has become a crazy woman with this decluttering stuff.

Mom moved my boat into the bedroom so the Beasty Boys can’t tear it up. I have been letting Joanie be the captain, but this morning she yacked on it. Do you know how hard it is to remove yack from corrugated cardboard? I hope mom can get it all out.

OK, that is all I have for this week.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  3. I am glad you survived the visit, Rosie. The popcorn and s’mores look pretty. That was not nice of Joanie to yak on your boat when you had let her be Captain. I hope your mom can get it cleaned up for you.

  4. Uhoh……yak on cardboard is a tough situation but if anyone can do something about it, it’s your Mom! WOO HOO for Dad doing some decluttering. Your Mom has him on the move – now to keep the momentum going right? Nice that you get a break from “Double Trouble” (the girls) until July 10th – that gives you time to regain your strength.

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. What a busy week, Rosie, but what a great idea of your mom to celebrate Christmas in July..etc. We hope we can celebrate with you, so we don’t have to do it again in December…MOL…
Talking about the yack…well…Peachy yacked from out of the scratching post and left it all on the window this night. Looks like we all had our surpurrizes this morning…MOL…As long as they feel alright, nothing really matters, right😸Enjoy your week sweeties. Double clean Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞

    1. Thank you. Mom will do it in July and December. 🙂 I guess you did have a surprise too. 🙂 O

  6. Dear Rosie, it sounds like the girls had a great 4th of July adventure. Makes me remember all the things that I used to do with my mom. Using paper towel cardboard tubes and aluminum foil to build castles. I sure hope your boat gets cleaned up for you quickly and easily by your mom. Thanks for all the updates.

  7. Rosie, I am never disappointed by your gabfest. I glad the decluttering is moving along and I hope mom can get the boat cleaned up.

  8. Rosie ~ glad you will be able to rest a bit ~ busy last week ~ sweet photo of you ~ Xo

  9. Charlee: “Sorry to hear about your boat getting yacked on! I take it there was no nearby carpeting or pillows available?”
Lulu: “Never mind that … Are there any s’mores left???”

    1. There were lots of blankets on the bed she could have yacked on. 🙂 SOrry, no s’mores left. XO

  10. Wait a minute! Is that red, white and blue popcorn in the s’mores???? What IS that? And BRAVO and a hug for your papa who is finally getting the picture that so many more THANGS are just waiting to enter his life….maybe even surprises he never imagined! All we know is that you have the most creative mama on earth and you kitties are so lucky. Except on playdays, that is…I forgot about those….And yuck on yak! Probably all that popcorn Joanie sneaked….

    1. The stiff on the s;mores is red white and blue sprinkles. 🙂 Mom says thank you. XO

  11. Busy, busy and busy and you’ll have a bit of rest until July 10th.

  12. Your mom is most clever in keeping the young ones entertained.

Sorry about the yack on your boat, i hope a little time in drydock for drying out and it will be as good as new.

  13. I am sure that Joanie was embarrassed that she yacked on your boat. Good that the Hooligan Twins can’t get to your boat now… Boys! You are going to get a break from the girls but your Mom is going to miss them. Good news on the decluttering front and the patriotic s’mores are fun! That was a whole lot of good gab, Rosie!

    1. Thank you. Mom still is not satisfied, he has a lot more to deal with. XO

    1. She got it pretty clean. Mom loves to motivate people on decluttering. XO
