Hi everyone! We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop. Joanie thanks you all for giving her some ideas to protect Grammie’s early when he skateboards.

The bowl is too small.The socks were too big.

And the bubble wrap is just right.

Last Sunday, we said we were going to start a giveaway for our book and then we forgot to do it. So here it is: To enter just say “count me in ” in the comment section of today’s post. 1. Being cold is so much better than being hot. Bye-Bye summer, hello fall 🙂

3. I am proud of my niece. She is a wonderful wife and mother. She works full time
( currently on maternity leave) and is so good at her job as a pharmaceutical sales rep.
4. If I could time travel, I would visit the year 1948 which is when I think my Dad started smoking at around age 15. I would try to convince him not to ever start so he would not die at age 68 of COPD.

Poor Gremmie fell off his skateboard at recess and hurt his ear. We just can’t find a helmet big enough to cover those ears.

My answers:

  1. September is the perfect month for picking apples and making apple pie.
  2. This month, I am looking forward to cooler weather- I just know it is coming soon.
  3. My morning routine always includes coffee and kitty cuddles.
  4. I have a love-hate relationship with tuna. I know that is an odd answer, but it is true. Sometimes I love a tuna salad sandwich or tuna casserole and then all of a sudden it repulses me. That is the only fish I eat and it has to be solid white albacore.

Today is my niece’s 5th wedding anniversary. One of my favorite songs is I Loved Her First by Heartland ( written by Elliot Park and Walt Aldridge). She danced with her Father to this song and I cried. Actually, it is so beautiful I cry every time I hear it.

Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful to everyone who left comments congratulating me on my upcoming book release. I truly appreciate your support and kindness.

Joanie is thankful that her Gremmie passed his physical.Good heart beat.And no fever.

I said , “good the doctor has arrived.” And the Great One replied, ” I am not a real doctor, just pretend.”  Too cute 🙂

We will show you Joanie’s new costume in tomorrow’s post.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day to go with this photo:

This van reminds me of walking the garbage trail,
a 6 mile charity walk, luckily it didn’t hail
It is to raise money for Huntington’s disease
a cause that makes it worth the sore knees.
Arlo Guthrie does this for his Dad
who passed too early, it makes him mad.
All walkers get to ride in a hippie van
brought to the start every woman and man.

My hubby and I did this walk in 2012, but we only made it about 2 miles. Luckily, the hippie vans drive around and will pick you up when you are tired and bring you back. Our nurse friend is involved with the planning of it so we went to support her and a good cause.

Some of you have asked about Gremmie. Him is good. I is dealing with a new kind of gremlin now.

Does anyone have a place I can hide on Thursday mornings? At least she gives me treats.

Mrs Potato Head is having some relatives over for dinner- Grammie is bringing potato salad. Maybe we won’t tell Mrs. Potato Head.

Barney they are not,

Prancie and Gremmie are here to wish our friend Allie of The Florida Furkids a Happy 16th Birthday! Her husband, Mau of The Cat on My Head, is having a commentathon for her. Hi everyone! We are joining The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop and Rascal and Rocco’s Pet Parade.

And the A-Z Blogging Challenge starts today. Our first creation is a crocheted avocado, well, it is half of an avocado.

 

Poor Mrs. Potato Head, Gremmie got her with the potato peeler. *
