Hi everyone! Have you missed me?

I am here with my monthly money saving tips for you. This month I have some car related tips to save you some money. First off, did you know you can get free air for your tires at Lowe’s? The one in our town has a free air compressor over by the contractor’s exit.

Not sure if you have an Advanced Autoparts store near you, but for those that do, I have a tip for you. They have one of those machines to hook your car to that will diagnose the problem. It is good to do this before you go to the garage just in case the garage tries to make you spend more than needed.

And one more tip, a lot of car washes have free vacuums you can use even if you don’t pay for a car wash.

Before I go, do any of you have crazy parents that are already decorating for Halloween and fall? Mom got this sign at the Dollar Tree.

I hope visitors don’t think we are telling them to fall. Mom bought some black cat ornaments at Michael’s already too.

    I didn’t know that autocrats store had a diagnostic computer. Wow, our mechanic at the dealership charges an area and a leg if you ask them to use it…

    We don’t have any free vacuums at the car washes here…sigh…I wish!

  4. Mama does not even want to HEAR the F word or the H word. She’s still being chef to 5 family members and 4 or 5 more arriving this week, 3 vegans and all vegetarians except one so she’s settlling on pasta for everyone…jeez, Louise, we LOVE SUMMER!!!

  5. OF COURSE we’ve missed you Penny – although you were kind enough to visit King Teddy in the kitchen this past week with your yummy bacon recipe. Thanks for the car care update. Our humans need their transportation to be in tip top shape that’s for sure. Halloween and October mean “visiting Maine” to my Mom and Dad. They look forward to it and seeing all the decorations the town of York where they stay has for Halloween AND seeing your Mom and Dad too!!!!!!!

  7. Penny, thank you for the auto tips. We’ve used Advanced Auto over the years quite a few times for help. And who doesn’t like new decorations? It’s a little bit too hot here this week so I can appreciate the sign for fall. And I always love cat ornaments.

  8. Mmm, do you have a drivers license, Ms Penny? Do your paws reach the pedals? Just wondering how you know so much about cars … more than we knew fur sure! Can you tell us also where gas prices are the lowest …

  20. Yes, you have been missed Penny! Those are some great car tips. I will tell SSNS about the free air at Lowe’s for tires. We haven’t gotten on the Fall or Halloween bus yet because it is 98 degrees today. I won’t feel like Fall here until December. But I just love it that your Mom can’t wait for all the Fall fun!

  21. Thank you for the head’s up about the air compressor at Lowe’s, that may well come in handy one day.

    The stores have to let you buy decorations early so you will have them when the time comes. This does not mean, however, you must put them up as soon as you get them home. Oh, well, to each her own, right?

  22. Great car tips, Penny. Our Dad likes to go to Discount Tire to have the tire pressure checked. They do it for him so he just sits in the car. It is nice to give them a tip but not required. Mom likes to use the vacuum at the car washes because they do a good job of scooping up all the furs we leave on the floor in the car when we ride to the vet:)
