Penny’s Tips Volume 14

Hi everyone! I have another tip for you,  this one is good for when you have a lot of pennies. It is also a great use for a sock that lost its mate.

You just fill the sock with pennies, tie the end and put it in the freezer. It makes a great ice pack for when you get injured.

Today is already I day on the A-Z Blogging Challenge.Mom made an icicle, she makes lots of these to put on the bottom branches of the Christmas tree. We love to steal them at night. I think she should spray them with catnip spray.

Emmy is checking it out.

  1. For some reason, my crazy human thought that you were going to say that penny-filled socks were good to have in case you needed to hit an intruder over the head! She is a weirdo. Spraying those icicles with catnip sounds like a good idea.

  2. Hahahahaha! Our mum thought the same thing as Summer’s purrson 😉
MOL! What does that say about her….
The ice pac idea is much better!
The icicle idea is neat and that one looks good and would be better with catnip.
The tree may not survive though if there are lots of catnip icicles.

  3. Those icicles make great TOYS! I bet you have a stash of those somewhere in the house that you’ve “borrowed” from the Christmas tree right Emmy??

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Those icicles sure look like fun toys. Sure looks like Emmy is enjoying them. You all have a wonderful day.

  5. You have a good idea for a cold penny-filled sock–and so does Summer’s human! That icicle looks like a great cat toy. 🙂

  6. I will give that sock/pennies tip a try! I’ve always used socks with holes are dust rags – I put them over my hand, sprayed furniture polish on them, then dusted away.

  7. We like your tip, Penny, but we too thought the same as Summer! Anyway, it seems too bad you only get the icicles during the Catmas season. Obviously you need an all year long tree!

  8. This is a great idea, Penny! I have lots of pennies, and even more rogue socks, so I should definitely give this a try. And that icicle is so perfect for the winter we’re having this spring. I also love the idea of hanging those from the Christmas tree. Oh, and we definitely think they need to be sprayed with catnip. Purrs!

  9. Well, that icicle does indeed look like a cat toy, so you can’t blame a cat for taking it. 🙂

  10. I have to find myself an old sock now, Phenny, that was a great tip! That icicle looks like a great surpurrize under the Christmas tree, I think a nipcicle is a purrfect idea too, Emmy 😀 Pawkisses for a wonderful day 🙂 <3

  13. Penny that is such a great suggestion for using up the socks without their mates, and an ice pack is always useful. My other suggestion would be making sock monkeys with them.
Hope you have a lovely day.

  14. The icicle is a great idea, and i like the tip! Metal coins would hold the cold longer.

  15. Um…I thought you were going to tell us how to use those pennies in the sock for a door stop! (Or a paperweight…)

That is a great idea, to make an icicle. It goes with your ice pack idea too, Penny.

Pipo has put plenty of his fur onto that nice mat we got in the mail yesterday. Thanks and purrs!! Cute socks!! And those nip toys are pawsome, too;)

    1. Penny was going to tell people about making a doorstop in another post. 🙂
I like the socks too and didn’t want to toss it even though there was a big hole so I am glad we have a use for it 🙂

  16. Penny, that is a great tip. CH could have done that when he hurt his knee back in January. Knee is all better now but today he plays pickleball so I have my fingers crossed for the knee and anything else that he messes up… 😀 Nip on the I for icicles for sure!

  17. MOL Penny that’s a great tip. It’d also make a great weapon ifin somepawdy was to break into your house. MOL Big hugs

    Luv ya’
