Hi everyone! I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is a week away. I must admit , I get a little sad this time of year. I used to have a boyfriend named Toby, many years ago, but his mom stopped blogging and I never heard from him again. I don’t even know if he is still alive. Well enough of my pity party. Every month, I plan to give you money saving tips so this month I found you some freebies for Valentine’s Day.

  1. Lots of great Valentine ideas, Penny. I need too get out my things for a photo session with the pups…My fave prop is a big red heart with white lace I made while I was taking sewing lessons, when I was 12.
    My Dad used to put it in his shop showcase with diamond rings on it to try and promote sales, though he did far more business with repairing watches and clocks.

    However, it might be a while, as I am sick right now, I have Covid…after all this time working directly in the midst of it, I get it on my days off…who knows from where, unless it was incubating in me before I went on my days off…sigh…So far its just like a bad cold, but I still need to stay away from work and other activities…

  2. I feel your pain Penny, I got pushed into a blind date by so called college friends who didn’t really know me on Valentine’s Day and a year later the guy dumped me on Valentine’s Day and ever since then I’ve hated Valentine’s Day but I try to look at the good side of things.

  4. So sorry about losing a love! I am sort of in love with Ernie and Teddy but they don’t know it and that’s probably being too fickle anyway, haha, I kind of love all darling male kitties…..

  5. Gosh Penny – sorry your boyfriend disappeared but trust me – there are lots of other boycats who worship you from afar. Valentine’s Day is a nice day here – my Dad gets my Mom flowers and Godiva chocolates and I get her a card and she gets US a card…..there are cards flying all over the place! Thanks for the moneysaving tips – these days every penny (tee hee) saved is a penny earned.

    I know friends come and go but it would certainly be nice if they posted one last time before they totally disappeared.

      1. The Jack of hearts is a young man that may be entering your life, usually a water sign. The 5 of spades -depression and feelings of hopelessness.
        The 3 of clubs is a major responsibility. And the King of hearts is a deep long lasting love with a light haired man .
