Here is a tip for Easter. You can use pennies to fill plastic eggs for an egg hunt instead of candy. This will only work for young kids though, older kids will think you are cheap. I recommend filling them with catnip too π
And remember not to use that fake grass stuff because it is dangerous to us kitties.

Penny is such a pretty Tortoise Shell, and a very lovely model.
Awww..thank you π XO
Penny is so smart! I want Cat Nip in my eggs! We have paper shreds for our Easter Baskets because Mom gave up plastic for Lent. She has been washing out the same 2 zipper bags and one sad piece of aluminum foil for her lunches. She also turned in her plastic tubs for glass ones. They DO have plastic lids, but it is the recyclable kind. She says it is hard to buy some stuff at the grocery store because almost everything comes in plastic.
thank Cod my food comes in tins!

Thank you π That was good of your mom, my mom gave up chocolate and Doritos.XO
MOL, I has a very funny story about Easter grass . . .
I want to hear it.
We always use the shredded paper type Easter grass here. My human was at Whole Foods tonight and she looked at the eggs because she wants to dye some this year – and they were ALL brown! No white eggs at all.
That is smart of your human. Brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh π
We like these tips Penny π
We don’t use baskets, we eat all the treats we find π MOL!
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Thank you π
I used to do the penny thing in Easter eggs for our neighbors’ kids but they’re too old to be “thrilled” with pennies…..Darn! It’s a great idea though for little ones.
Hugs, Pam
I am sure they prefer quarters now π XO
That is a good idea Miss Penny to put pennies in the easter eggs. Think of all the great noise that would make rolling them around. You all have a fantastic day.
Thank you π I hope you had a great day too.
Cool idea sweet Penny!
Thank you π
Penny, you got to do your Tips today…. yay! Pennies are a most excellent idea for the eggs. Cat nip is good, too.. π Lookin’ good with those Easter baskets, Penny!
Thank you π XO
What a cool idea!! We think Catnip would be pawsome!!
The Florida Furkids
Thank you π
Pennies in the eggs are a great idea for children old enough to not put them in their mouths. Maybe all kinds of coins and an occasional dollar, with a fiver as the big prize for the one who finds the egg you really hide well. Most kids would go for that at any age.
Thank you π That was a lucky kid.
And we would not say no to cat treats inside those eggs either!
I hope you get some π
This is a purrfectly festive tip, Penny! I always give Easter baskets to the neighbor kids, and they get both candy and coins in their eggs. I’ll be sure to give them lots of pennies in honor of you, Penny!
Thank you π That is sweet of you to give baskets to the neighbor kids. XO
We love the cat nip tip, Penny!
Thank you π
Those are wonderful ideas, Penny! Purrseidon said she purrticularly liked the idea of putting catnip in those eggs.
Thank you π
I hope you got one of those catnip-filled eggs as a reward for your work, Penny!
I got treat instead π
Catnip eggs sounds good. Never thought that green basket grass was dangerous but it makes sense!
Thank you π Yes, it is dangerous just like tinsel at Christmas.
Great tips as usual. I didn’t know about the green grass that comes in Easter baskets though. I do now.
I check my spam folder several times a day. It’s tough to get some folks approved in WordPress. I’m doing okay now, but when I first switched from Blogger to WordPress it was difficult.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. β₯
Thank you π Good idea to check SPAM often. My peeps send their best.
Important reminder about that fake grass being dangerous to cats! That stuff is awful for them.
Thank you π
MOLMOL Penny that was a good one.

Clever, timely tip. ~grin~ Sorry you’re having blog issues. Be well!
Thank you π
I think that’s a great tip about the pennies in the eggs, Penny, but I think we have to fill the eggs with papurr, as the youngsters only want…hardware…Satisfaction is hard to find nowadays…MOL…you can fill mine with nip…lots of eggs…MOL π Double Pawkiss for a Happy Day π <3
Thank you π Yes, it is. We want nip too. XO
Great tips, Penny ! Purrs
Thank you π XO
Another great tip, Penny! For the older kids, a dollar or two might work π
Yes, they would not want pennies.
That’s exactly what the peeps here do. They put a variety of pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters in the eggs, and a few special eggs have a big green paper in them. If one of the kiddos finds that special egg, and then finds another, they have to leave the second one in place for another kiddo to find.
Great idea. Now we want and egg hunt with a variety of yummy treats in them for us!!!
Woos – Lightning, Timber, and Misty
That is a good idea π
Penny what a grate tip about penniess inn thee eggiess!! Wee like it! All tho’ wee not have any Easter eggiess here…an sum Mumma wantss only thee Cadbury eggiess, mew mew mew…..
An Nip eggiess sound furabuluss all so!!!
***nose rubsss*** Siddhartha Henry xXx
I hope your mum gets some cadburry eggs π XO
We have no children here so a catnip Easter Egg hunt sounds like fun.
Catnip eggs are best π
Hmm… We think maybe sticky little people may not appreciate nip like we felines do.
Then they can share it π
Plastic eggs filled with the nip sounds DELIGHTFUL! Of course… Since we don’t have pennies here in Canada anymore (Don’t ask.), maybe the peeps could fill ’em with quarters or better yet, loonies and toonies? If I found a few of THOSE eggs, I could go buy the nip for myself! purrs
Nip would be best π or silvervine π
Great idea! Especially the nip π
Thank you π
We want ours filled with treats…or nip.
Us too π
We used to put pennies and other change in our kids’ plastic eggs and they were always so excited. We did have one prize egg with a dollar in it.
That sounds fun π
Pennies in the eggs is a fun thing to do. Here at work, the ladies were putting hair bands in them…not sure what the men’s eggs will have…Hmmm I like the idea of catnip in the eggs for the kitties:)
Yes, I wonder what the men’s will have.
Catnip-filled eggs, I think my kitties approve of that idea.
I think all kitties would π
Penny, I adore you. I actually had a calico named Drusilla Penny, when I was a teen. The catnip eggs were a hit here. Many years ago, we did that for our cats. You will have to let us know how it goes there! Anyway, I love your tips. You are such a smart girl, Penny. Hugs!
Penny thanks you. I hope you show us a photo of your Penny someday. XO
Penny, not only are you smart, your are also beautiful! We always love your tips and now our Mama wants to put catnip in the Easter eggs! She has put dog treats in eggs in past years for the dogs but never thought of catnip for the kitties!! Thanks for the tip π
the critters in the cottage xo
Thank you. I hope she puts catnip in some for you. XO
Great tips and reminder’s Penny. Altho’ we think most kids these days no matter how old might think you’re cheap. Kids are so spoiled these days. Big hugs
