1. My guiding word for 2018 is minimize- I want to minimize my possessions and my weight.
2. A house is not a home without at least one cat ( you knew I would say that ) .
3. I look forward to my niece having her baby this year. She finds out in a few weeks if it is a boy or a girl.
4. I really need to lose weight, because I am fat.
We are also joining Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
It has been chilly lately so Joanie has on her sweater
and Millie does too. I put one on Emmy and she went into the closet, made some noises then came over to me to show me she got it off. 🙂

  1. I’m sure Patzy would not let me get it near her. She screams when I try to put her collar back on if it falls off and she’s used to wearing a collar. You did good getting two out of three to wear one!
    Patzy and Miss Juliea

  2. Yes, we knew you’d answer that way for #2. Just like us. MOL!

Joanie and Millie look great in their sweaters. Your story about Emmy reminds me of our angel Maggie. Her nickname was Houdini, since she always (ALWAYS) managed to get her collar off. 🙂

  3. I had to do a review for Friday but will share my fill-ins next week. Mine would be a lot like yours. I am counting calories and have so much weigh to lose. I’ve been counting for about a month now. It’s working.

  4. I like wearing my sweaters! I guess not every kitty does, but you’d think with the weather you’re getting, Emmy would make an exception.

  5. Way to go, Millie! Cat was the only appropriate and acceptable fill-in for #2. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  6. You are fluffy is all, just like the long haired cats! Although i know what you mean about wanting to minimize, mostly for health reasons. That means weight and possessions, which can weigh on you in a different manner.

    Have a great Friday!

  7. I need to lose weight too but not right now – I’m sure my extra poundage is keeping me WARM! We love the sweaters – that’s so funny that Emmy managed to remove hers all by herself…….smarty.

    Love and Happy Friday,
    Pam (and Teddy too)

  8. We had the same answer for #2, of course 🙂 The kitties look cute in their sweaters. I don’t know how you were able to get them on them. You should have heard the screams while we were trying to put them in flea collars 🙂 Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you, I am lucky most of my cats are good sports. I hope you have a nice weekend too 🙂

  9. Best wishes for the New Year! My brother and sister-in-law trimmed down by removing carbohydrates from their diet the past year or so. They don’t even eat beans! I keep trying but my partner is a saboteur. ~grin~ Hope everyone stays healthy.

  10. Your fill-ins are as great as ever. I am with you 100% on #1 and #2. I am in the midst of cleaning up my house right now, as I told myself 2018 would start with freshening up my slate. I am minimizing and organizing, and now that it’s looking so much better, I feel that much more motivated to finish the job. I’m getting rid of and donating a lot of things, but it’s definitely for the better. And, of course, your #2 is purrfect! And kitties, we think you all look adorable in yours sweaters. That being said, well done, Emmy!

    1. That is fantastic that you are decluttering and donating. Glad you like our sweaters 🙂

    3. I look forward to maybe travel this year.

    4. I really need to get things done , because I need to prove to this Fibromyalgia that it does not have the better of me.
    .

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Push is a great word and I completely agree with #2. Sorry you have fibromyalgia, but I am glad you have a good attitude to beat it.

  12. I need to lose weight too, but I think I’ll clean my closet today. That’s what I really need to do.

Your kitties are so adorable and some like sweaters and some will get them off.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday. My best to your mom. ♥

  13. Aww, we love those sweaters and some cat here who shall be called out as Skinny-Minnie Olivia will get one sooner or later because Mom said so. Great fill-ins and yes, we knew you’d say a cat because that’s just the truth.

  14. As Cartman would say “You’re not fat; you’re big-boned.” I hope you achieve your goals. During Pop’s staycation, he cleaned the walk-in closet and filed the Refuse Room every day. He threw out a lot and has a lot to donate. TW agonizes over each little thing she throws out. And, no, I won’t do sweaters.

    1. You would looks great in a sweater. It is hard to decide what to toss and what to keep. I am big boned and fat too. XO

  15. Emmy is too funny! Well, Joanie and Millie sure look fine in their sweaters. It’s very cold here too, but I’m sure it’s even colder there.

    I absolutely agree with #2 100%!

  16. emmy; we iz crackin UP !!!! grate job 🙂 ♥♥ hope de storm haz stopped out yur way; be safe

  17. Since The Boy moved in last year, I’ve been on a huge “minimize” trip. Years and years of keeping everything. I’ve done a little at a time so I don’t get overwhelmed. I have a feeling that what you see in the mirror is very different from what the rest of us see 🙂

    1. Thank you. I haven’t thought of what the new great one will be called 🙂

  18. 1. My guiding word for 2018 is kindness.
    2. A house is not a home without at least one cat!
    3. I look forward to making more art this year.
    4. I really need to be more patient, because it’s nicer and healthier.

    Have a lovely 2018!

    1. Excellent choice for a guiding word. I agree with #2 completely. Patience is hard to have sometime. 🙂

  19. I like the idea of minimizing too! The problem is that I do it too well! Every few years I decide to get rid of a bunch of stuff and then end of having to go buy the same items back as I realize I needed them! Love the sweaters

    1. It is tough to know what to keep and what to get rid of. Glad you like the sweaters 🙂

  20. 1. My guiding word for 2018 is love.
    2. A house is not a home without CATS!
    3. I look forward to going on trips with my adventure cats this year.
    4. I really need to put up my Christmas decorations , because it’s January!

    😀 Stay warm, guys!

  21. Mee-you what a kewl sweater Joanie gurl….luv thee colorss on you! An Millie that lite blue iss snazzy on you! Wee sure are stylin katss aren’t wee???
    ***Hi-5’sss*** Siddhartha Henry =^,.^=

  22. I LOPVE them in their sweaters and I admit I love that Emmy did NOT let you see her magic as she took off her sweater. You know what they always say? Sweaters are what children or kitties wear, because their mom’s are cold!

  23. I think your link is wonky. I had a lot of trouble getting here. Maybe it’s me.
I knew you would say cats for #2. I understand, though I need dogs, too. I have had dogs for a year longer than cats. They complete me, by having both.
I miss Clyde in his shirts. He wore them well. Your kids are so cute. XO

    1. Sorry you had trouble getting here. I wonder if Clyde would wear a shirt now? I love dogs too, ours passed in 2011 and I have been afraid to try to find one that would get along so well with all the cats. Our Katie was a saint.XO

  24. Your kitties are so cute in their sweaters. I’m not sure my cat OR I would survive a cat dressing session. Did Emma bring the sweater back to you in shreds?

  25. Minimize is a great word and I think I should have that one as well.
Love your cats sweaters – so cute, they’re very lucky to have them. Have a really lovely week.

  26. You’re NOT Fat awnty Ellen. Never Say that again!!! We luv you just the way you are. Ifin ya’ wanna lose some weight, dat’s okay, but it’s not cuz ya’ need too.. And da sweaters are cute. big hugs

    Luv ya

    Dezi and Raena

    1. Thank you , you are very sweet. I do need to lose weight before it affects my health. XO

  27. Clever Emmy! Dalton can get sweaters off too:)

    1. My guiding word for 2018 is clean up. This den is in a more or less constant state of chaos!
    2. A house is not a home without pets.
    3. I look forward to visits from friends and family this year; though I hope they time their visits around my cleaning schedule, MOL!
    4. I really need to clean up the closets of all the clothes and things we no longer need or use…because others can benefit more from them, than when they are in our closets. .

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I like your guiding word. And I completely agree with #2.
