Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins Week 58. Don’t forget to add your link at McGuffy’s Reader. You can also answer in the comment section if you didn’t write a post with them. Thank you to all who participate, it is fun learning about everyone.
1. I challenge everyone to ________________________ this week.
2. I regret disposing of _____________________________.
3. I have a difficult time admitting .
4. If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be .
My answers:
1. I challenge everyone to call or email someone you have lost touch with this week. ( I plan to attempt everyone’s challenges this week- unless one says to not have caffeine or anything with sugar all week).
2. I regret disposing of my Weebles camper and tree house. I saved the Weebles and put those other items out for free years ago. My niece used to play with them and I wish I had them for my great-niece now.
3.I have a difficult time admitting how many cats I have to people I have just met. Most people think even 4 cats is too many and I fear that I am immediately viewed as a hoarder when I say I have 13. I know my cats are well cared for and shouldn’t care what others think.
4. If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be the ability to communicate with the dead. I would love to deliver messages of comfort to those who are hurting.
One more thing….Emmy wants to know if she looks good in her hat?
Emmy! You look so lovely and pawsome in that hat.
Emmy thanks you 🙂
We love that hat on you, Emmy. 🙂
Your Weebles Camper fill-in made me smile real big. I used to love me some weebles as a kid! 🙂
Emmy thanks you 🙂 Weebles are fun.
I think Emmy is thinking to herself, “I didn’t realize that hat wearing was part of the deal when it comes to living here.”
I think so too. 🙂
Emmy looks so sweet in that hot pink hat! Though…um…she may not be too happy about showing it to all of us, MOL!
1. I challenge everyone to spend more time doing things that are not technology related…such as gardening or crafts or housework, etc, this week.
2. I regret disposing of some of my dolls and their accessories including a crib my dad made, from when I was a little girl. I gave them to charity years ago…but sometimes I want to just sit and remember those days.
3. I have a difficult time admitting I hate cleaning my house…mostly I wait until I can’t stand it anymore…then I go on a cleaning rampage, MOL! .
4. If I were given a psychic power, I would like it to be to know if my sons were going to be married and have children, as yet they do not even have girlfriends…though as long as they are happy its OK…I do know God has a plan for each of them…though my older son once asked how he would know who was to be his wife…and late he said he had a wife in China, MOL!!! He was 5 years old then…he just grins now when we discuss those conversations. .
Thank you for these great answers. I like your challenge and plan to do it. It is a shame you don’t have the dolls and crib for future grandbabies. You sound like me with the cleaning. 🙂 Your sons are still young, no worries, I am sure they will find love. That must have been cute when your son said that and how funny will that be if it ends up being true. :)XO
We were driving to school, and when he asked that; and I almost drove off the road, and it sure was hard not to laugh…cause he was dead serious. A deep thinker he was and is, still. Another time he saw a kid sized little Dutch Girl statue…and he went up to it, hugged it and asked: ‘Will you marry me?’ He was maybe 6 or 7…
Younger son never came out with goodies like those…but he was and is a prankster:)
Kids do the cutest things 🙂
Phoebe, is that you with those weebles??
Yes, it sure is 🙂
Emmy looks very cute in her hat. As far as what other people think about how many cats you own, it ain’t none of their business. The Weebles were great back in the day.
Thank you, I agree. 🙂
Emmy looks adorable in her pink hat! She’s a pretty girl…..how is she doing? Hopefully making a friend or two. Nobody but YOU knows how many cats you want in your family and you and I know these are our “kids” we’re talking about here so it’s just nobody’s business PERIOD! Your Weebles would have been tons of fun for your great-niece but you and she already have TONS of fun together without the Weebles! That’s the important thing……..
Hugs, Pam (with Teddy)
Emmy thanks you. Yes, I agree, they are our kids and it is nobody’s business. XO
Emmy is beautiful, and if i can find a number or email address, i will try to get in touch with someone i haven’t spoken to in a while.
Emmy looks beautiful in her hat. Emmy, you have any more hats or accessories to go with your hat?
Emmy thanks you. This is her first, but she will have more.
Emmy thanks you. I hope you can contact someone you have lost touch with.
What wonderful answers. I really need to take you up on your challenge for #1. I have a couple of friends with whom I was pretty close back in school, and I keep neglecting to contact them and catch up. And each and every one of your kitties is loved and more than well cared for, so you should have no shame in telling the world about them! Oh, and Emmy, you look gorgeous in your hat! Purrs!
I hope you do contact an old friend. I am going to try to do everyone’s suggestion. Emmy thanks you.
Emmy looks lovely in her hat! I think that there are 13 very lucky cats that have lots of love and two people that gave them a home so they could live a good life. I know it is easy for me to say, actually it isn’t easy for me to say but we shouldn’t let what other people think make us feel bad or sad.
Phoebe, are you thinking about shoving one of those Weebles overboard?!
Emmy thanks you. I am blessed to have 13 sweet and loving ( most of the time) kitties. Yes, Phoebe was getting ready to see if they really don’t fall down. 🙂
That is a very cute hat, Emmy. It suits you! I’m going to do your challenge and contact an old friend I lost touch with after she moved across the country. Have a happy Friday 🙂
I am glad you are going to contact your friend. 🙂
I know just how you feel about having a lot of cats. Sometimes it is embarrassing. But it is so hard to find good homes for them all especially where I live. Emmy, you look just great in your hat. Looks like you are fitting right in.
It is hard to find good homes anywhere. Emmy thanks you. 🙂
Emmy looks adorable! I always enjoy your answers. I should consider contacting people I’ve lost touch with over the years, especially now that we’ve moved so close to our hometown. It would be very easy to get together with them in person, too. Yes, you really shouldn’t care what others think about your cats because it’s none of their business. But it’s easier said than done.
Yes, you should contact someone. 🙂
Fantastic hat! I’m surprised you didn’t want the superpower to read cats’ minds. ~grin~ Have a wonderful weekend!
That would be a good one too 🙂 Emmy thanks you.
I used to have Weebles as a kid too (the smaller version) and they were such fun. Emmy you look so pretty in your pink hat–it’s your color!
Mine are the smaller ones too ( I am old). Emmy thanks you 🙂
Our mom would have 13 cats if she could, but our city limits folks to 6. If it were financially viable, she’d zoom on down to the shelter today to add 2 to us.
Emmy, you are a good sport with that pink hat!
I hope my town never puts a restriction on cats.
Emmy looks great in that hat!
If I had Psychic Powers, using them to communicate with the dead would be my first choice. I would prefer to use them for determining honesty/intent in those I deal with.
Emmy thanks you. That would be a good psychic ability too.
Emmy is purrfect! People can be ugly and judgmental – and unfortunately – the people who excel in those traits are the very people who don’t understand our relationships with our cat(s) because love and respect is a challenge for them. We all know how dearly you love your cats – and how well you take care of them.
Thank you, you are very sweet. XO
You’re right. You shouldn’t care what other people think! Some people don’t even want one cat but they’re missing out.
Yes, they are missing out.
Emmy looks great modeling that hat!
Emmy thanks you.
Lucky 13! Mom wishes she could have more than two cats where we live. About ten years ago she had three.
I am blessed to have so many.
Phoebe OMCs mom checked out Kali’s blog and we had a photo session with my hat and I let her put it on my HEAD…wonders never cease. WE’ll post it tomorrow.
Emmy your hat is very becoming
Hugs madi your bfff
YAY! Welcome to the club, I can’t wait to read your post. XO
Emmy is a beautiful model! It’s sad there is a stigma against someone having lots of kitties. We don’t see anything wrong with it at all!
Emmy thanks you. It is sad that people judge like that.
Emmy looks smashing in her hat! And her markings are gorgeous!!! Never be ashamed how many furchildren you have!!!
Thank you. And Emmy thanks you too 🙂 XO
[…] know Mom and I do Friday Fill-ins as often as we can – and here are this week’s from Miss Ellen and Miss McGuffy. You know the drill, I’m orange and mom is […]
1. I love this challenge!
2. I regret throwing out my USS Enterprise model that hung from the ceiling of my bedroom. I loved that old show…still do, but haven’t kept up with the modern movies.
3. Perhaps you can make-up a cute line, like: I’m a multi-cat mama, or I have my own non-profit cat rescue, only we aren’t non-profit, or…Humans make me crazy, so I have four-footed furry therapists!
4. Is there a psychic power where you can make other people feel loved and at peace?
One more thing….Emmy looks FAB in her hat!
That ust have been a cool ship. my hubby would love that. The new movies have all been great, I hope you get to see them. I bet your library has them.
I like your idea of a psychic power, that would be wonderful.
We enjoyed your answers and Emmy, you look wonderful sweetie!
Thank you 🙂
Great answers! I so know what you mean about cats. I don’t have as many as you do, but people think anything over 2 is alot. However, they are family 🙂
Thank you, yes they are family. 🙂
guyz….yur mom iz correct in that her kneadz knot care what otherz think; less de good Lord His self is chillaxin at yur momz kitshun table N sayz….
ellen…sew ewe haz 13 catz huh….and Him kinda …frownz…..
forgetaboutit what otherz think !! 🙂 ♥♥ 🙂
That would be something 🙂 XO
Oh Emmy, you KNOW you look good in that hat! I know what you mean…it’s hard not to care what people think. But I find myself caring a little less as I grow older (and hopefully wiser!).
I agree, I do care less as I get older. Emmy thanks you.
Great answers! Maybe I shouldn’t be judgmental, but whenever I see families with several kids, even when it’s a financial hardship, I always think that if those were cats instead of kids people would be making comments. I don’t think it matters how many pets you have as long as you can take care of them.
Thank you, that actually crosses my mind too. 🙂
***kiss kiss kiss*** You look beeuteeful Purrincess Phoebe!
An Emmy yur rockin yur new hat!!
An Lady Ellen you are NOT a hoarder bye any stretchy of thee emaginayshun!! 60 catss iss a hoarder!! If a purrson can take care of multeepull katss like you do then go fur it! Iss no one’s busyness but yur own….
***paw kissesss*** Siddhartha Henry xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you, you are very sweet. Emmy thanks you too. And Phoebe thanks you and sends lots of love. XOXOXOXOXO
I challenge everyone to focus on the good and beautiful this week!
I rarely regret disposing of anything!
I have a difficult time admitting that life isn’t always easy.
If I had a psychic power, I’d like to be able to read my dogs’ minds.
I think that your hat looks fabulous!!!!
Great answers. I accept that challenge. Emmy thanks you. 🙂
Emmy, you do. It suits you perfectly. I imagine some of your sisters will ask to borrow it for special occasions. xoxo
I don’t think so, no one around here likes hats 🙂
Great answers. Emmy is so pretty in the hat.
Thank you 🙂
Emmy, you look fabulous! “Ain’t nobody’s business but my (your) own” how many cats you have.
Emmy thanks you and so do I 🙂
Emmy is adorable in her hat. 🙂
I think it is none of anyone’s business how many kitties you have just like it isn’t anyone’s business how many human children a family has. It isn’t anything for folks to be rude about. Besides, the kitties make you happy and they have a home and are safe with you. That is what matters.
Have a blessed weekend.
Emmy thanks you. And I thank you too for your kind words about my # of cats. I hope you have a blessed weekend too.
My old dog, Velvet, was called Weebles, in her old age. She did wobble a bit.
Don’t worry what people think. You take care of your cats and can prove it. There are laws and regulations for a reason. Hoarders and mills are cruel. But, you are not them! You correct that situation. You can prove it. Those who question you just don’t know. So, you educate them; you rescue. You undo what others do. You breathe life back into those who need it. Don’t be upset by those who question. Educate them on why you do what you do, and how they can help, too. You are kind and good. HUGS.
Poor Velvet, it is sad when they age. Thank you for your sweet words about my # of cats. This is part of why I started to blog to help get rid of that awful cat lady stereotype. XO
Great questions, and your answers were interesting. I really need to contact my friend. We email sometimes, but it’s been awhile. Thanks for the suggestion! … That would be very wonderful to be able to communicate with those who have passed on. …Emmy looks super cute in her hat! I used to make all kinds of costumes for our cats. They were good sports about wearing them for a photo op! 🙂 …Wishing you a lovely weekend! 🙂
I would love to see photos of your cats in costumes 🙂 Emmy thanks you. I hope you have a nice weekend too!
Emmy looks GREAT in her hat! 😀
Thank you 🙂
