My answers:
1. It is good to have a spare COFFEE POT ( I get the cheap Mr. Coffees that only last a year so I always have a spare one ).
2. I don’t understand why THE KARDASHIANS are so popular. It drives me crazy when society rewards people for being shallow, these people have so much money they spend on cars, clothes and vacations instead of using it for good.
3.The spookiest thing that ever happened to me was spooky1  NOTHING SPOOKY HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME, BUT I LOVED SPOOKY.
4.My favourite Halloween Tale is THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW.

  3. Mummy agrees with you entirely about the coffee pot (for the same reason) and about the Kartrashians.
    And we would ALL of Us love a game of Quidditch. Trixie would like to be a Chaser. Caspurr is definitely cut out to be a Beater. Shimshi is obviously Seeker material and Mummy feels she has the makings of an excellent goalkeeper (mol).

  6. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was a fun read back in school. Now that you’ve mentioned it, we need a spare coffee pot, because we buy the cheap ones, too. More than once we’ve had to make an emergency run to the 24-hour store to buy a new one and stave off a coffee emergency!

    1. Mine always break at night and I am too lazy to go to Walmart so now we keep a spare.

  14. Such great fill-ins! I, like you, cannot stand seeing the news filled with stories of the Kardashians rather than far more important information. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow really is a great story, and perfect for Halloween. I like to read stories such as that and those by Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft this time of year. And, Phoebe, we would love to play Quidditch with you!

  15. Will admit that I’ve never watched a Kardashian show, don’t know and don’t care either. No dancing or singing or remote island stuff either. Watching an old “Ghosthunters” show once, and they were sitting in the dark and heard a weird noise! Turns out, the family cat wheezes as he sleeps…LOL! Hahahahaha!

    1. I hate reality tv, I don’t watch any either. That is funny the cat was making the noise 🙂

  16. I agree with you wholeheartedly about that “celebrity” family! They have nothing going for them, really. Wasted money. The lack of conscience and morals astound me. Good answer!

    I loved Spooky, too. He reminded me of our Wilbur. I miss both of them.

    My Mr. Coffee is about 15 years old. Seriously. I clean it with white vinegar regularly.

    1. How often do you use your coffee pot? I make 4 pots a day ( not the full 12, and I switch to decaf after lunch). I clean ours with vinegar about once a month. XO

  17. Spooky was the best Halloween tale ever!! I don’t understand those Kardashians either. When they spend all that money on nothing, I think of all the cats who could be helped if they would just donate 10% of what they earn. Oh well, they will have to answer to all of their decisions just like the rest of us!!

    Yes Phoebe, I want to play quidditch! I didn’t even think of that when I made my ‘broom’ submission! Good job!!

  19. Great answers. As for the coffee pot, you get what you pay for. If you bought a good expensive one, it might save you money in the long run cos you wouldn’t have to replace it. That’s what TW SAYS, not what she does. Here are MY answers.
    1. It is good to have a spare toys and peacock feathers and also a full cabinet of food.
    2. I don’t understand why cat and puppy mills is/are so popular when there are billions of shelter cats and dogs waiting for homes. Many are pure bred too.
    3. The spookiest thing that ever happened to me was when I saw the orb in our condo. I freaked out and TW got a pic of me with that scary orb. 4. My favourite Halloween tale is dunno if we have one except maybe Rocky Horror Picture Show. My favorite Halloween song is Bela Lagosi’s Dead by Bauhaus. It’s spooky and it’s long. I used to end of set with it every Halloween. .

    1. I probably should get a better coffee pot. Thank you for your answers CK, I enjoyed them. That orb sounds scary and how cool that TW got a photo too. I don’t understand puppy/kitty mills either, it is so sad.

    I can’t understand how anyone, who wants to build back our country, could think Hillary Clinton is a wise choice, either. Makes me wonder if people accept what the media, whose owners contributed to her campaign, realize that they are not getting the full picture.

  27. A back up coffee pot is good. We don’t drink much coffee here It is too hot. Suzanne does not drink it. When I drink it, I typically just buy a cup out someplace like the convenience store or the donut shop. I won’t buy that expensive coffee wannabe stuff from places that claim to have gourmet coffee. I like cowboy coffee and they don’t know how to make it.

    Once when I was in the recovery room, I overheard a nurse ask my doctor if he wanted coffee. He said he did and wanted three creams and three sugars. I told him, “Drink it like a man.” He got a kick out of it. There is only one way to drink cowboy coffee, strong and black.

    1. I love coffee, but I need milk in it, no sugar- I guess that is having it like a woman 🙂

  29. I guess lots of people can relate to the coffee pot thing. I just have one that makes one cup of coffee at a time and I use it a couple of times a week for “fancy” coffees. I don’t understand fixations with any celebrity. They are rich pretty people but under the rich and pretty they are not much different than us regular folks. Your Spooky was beautiful. I had a black cat,Dolly, who was with me for 19 years.

    I don’t understand the big deal with lots of celebrities either. It seems that most of them only care about doing one thing and that is showing off stuff that only their husbands should be seeing, not everyone else’s husbands.

    1. Quidditch is the game they play in Harry Potter, I watched the first 2 movies when Mom’s niece lived here. I love you my sweet boy. Spooky was handsome, but no one is as handsome as you. XO and paw kisses and nose kisses

  38. 1. It is good to have a spare bottle of Hershey’s Lite Chocolate syrup for my smoothies. 2 T.= 30 cal.

    2. I don’t understand why any so-called celebrities or persons like the Kardashians and the rest of their ilk, have some folks so fascinated that they reward them for nothing by buying their products, watching their drivel on TV and read about them.

    3. The spookiest thing that ever happened to me was my older brother jumping out of a closet at me. Oh goodness!

    4. Can’t recall Halloween tales now. But likely it was The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as well as I can remember that one quite well.

A spare coffee pot is a great thing to have on hand if you have morning coffee drinkers in the house, no coffee can make for a grumpy start of the day! 😉 I so agree with you about the Kardashians and other such infamous wealthy people who thrive on their status and popularity and wouldn’t have a clue about how most people live and what they go without. Not my idea of people to pay attention to at all! Scary – perfect for a kitty name, not so much if it’s our life that is scary! The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a wonderful classic that I should read again sometime this month!

  40. Agreed – I don’t bother keeping up with them Kardashians either. What do they even do? And I can’t imagine why why anyone would want their life filmed for mass consumption? so weird.
    Spare coffee pot – now that is a good idea.

    1. I would be filmed for money to help cats, but all they do is make money to buy vacations and expensive clothes. Unfortunately, no one would be interested in my life.
