Friendly Fill-Ins Week 102

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Be sure to leave your link at McGuffy’s Reader. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. New ____________ are _________________.

2. I love to ______________ on the ________________.

3. When I was a child, I loved to play                          .

4. One                    , I                          .
My answers:
1. New slippers are the best. I wear out slippers quickly and was deciding when to break out a new pair. Joanie helped me with that by yacking in the old ones.
2. I love to read on the bed in the spare bedroom with KaTwo.
3. When I was a child, I loved to play with stuffed animals. I never liked dolls, I would hide them in the pantry or give them to the dog. Maybe my mother should have had me tested like Sheldon 🙂
4. One day, I hope to find a publisher for a picture book I wrote, actually I have two written.
Emmy is posing with a Raspberry beret for the  A-Z Blogging Challenge
Any guesses for S tomorrow ( hint:it has something to do with Harry Potter)?
.
We are also joining Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus and Create with Joy’s Friendship Friday Blog Party. You should all join in the fun too.

  1. I have never read Harry Potter. So, ummm…salamander. I know it is a creature there. I love all of your creations. My goal is to go back, re-read, and comment on A-Z. I will get there!
I am hard on slippers, too. Suggestions?
    Love you lots!

    1. Good guess 🙂 I think my slippers wear out soon because they are what I wear the most being that I don’t go out for very long or often. I love you too.XO

  2. A sword?

    That is a cute beret!
    1. New recipes for salmon or chicken are fun to search for and make, Mmmm!
    2. I love to play card games on the computer. (Mostly spider solitaire)
    3. When I was a child, I loved to play with my lego bricks…and I still have a lot of them, They last a lifetime, except I left them in a hot closet and some of them are rather misshapen. .
    4. One day it would be nice to have all the staff we need, and that none of them leave or grumble about the work we are doing. , I .

    1. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. I don’t like salmon, but I do enjoy new chicken recipes too. Legos are fun. XO

  3. Oh we love that raspberry beret! The green one you made for Angel Sammy is sitting on top of a ginger stuffie on Mom’s art cabinet – Mom won’t let me wear it because it was HIS. My Mom says she liked dolls but not as much as her teddy bear that she got when she turned one. He’s up on top of that art cabinet too!! Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Love, Teddy

    1. I am glad your Mom has Sammy’s beret in a special place. I did that with Phoebe’s bikini and harness. XO and love to you both

  4. Ellen,

Joanie is like, “I don’t get it, she wears her slippers for a hundred million days, then I toss up my Meow Mix in her shoes and she gets rid of them. What’s with that anyhow?” I had a raspberry beret once. I wonder what happened to that thing? *think, think, think* If you’re looking to self-publish you might wish to contact my editor. Let me know and I can send you that info. Thanks for hosting the fun, dear friend!

  5. Love that raspberry beret! Too bad about Joanie yacking in your slipper. The only “S” things I can think of from Harry Potter are the snitch and the Sorting Hat, so maybe you’re doing one of those tomorrow?

  6. Yay Joanie for helping with the slippers LOL
I love the raspberry beret and I’m with you about the stuffed toys vs dolls! (and the Sheldon comment!)…as for S …
somehow you knitted Professor Snape! (You are very talented and creative so I don’t put this past you )

    1. Joanie is so helpful 🙂 Thank you, but I am not skilled enough to make a Professor Snape 🙂

  7. 1. New shoes are always appreciated!.
    2. I love to have dinner on the deck.
    3. When I was a child, I loved to play with blocks.
    4. One day I hope to take a cruise to Alaska.
    Have a lovely day!
    .

  8. A cat yacking in shoes will do it! LOL I love the feel of new slippers. The padding hasn’t worn out yet, so they’re really comfy.

I wasn’t a big doll loving child either. I was a tomboy and preferred sports with the boys! I also liked board games, hockey and baseball cards, and building blocks.

  9. I’ve not read Harry Potter either. I won’t either. It’s just not my thing. Some of the classic I could get into. It’s just the way I roll.

I love all your kitties. They are most delightful.

Reading in a quiet place is wonderful and especially if you have a kitty with you.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday. ♥

  10. I love the feel of new slippers, too. I have a whole graveyard of worn-out slippers. And I, too, have had to retire some slippers because a kitty puked in the old ones. Rosie was notorious for puking in slippers and shoes. And I can’t wait to see your published picture books! It has always been a dream of mine to write and publish stories, and that’s something that I’ve been towards lately. Thank you for hosting these fun fill-ins! Happy Friday!

    1. Thank you. I can’t wait to see your books published too. I will definitely by them for my great niece. XO

  11. I loved my dolls and still have most of them. Yes, I have dolls that are older than my children. Our dog, Arfy, started bringing dolls home! Mom would not let us cut our dolls hair so when we could not find the owners of the dolls, they would get hair cuts!
Emmy you are pretty in a Raspberry beret.

I love harry Potter. There are many S words that you could use!

  12. Great answers, and the beret is so sweet.
I don’t know about Harry Potter, Slytherin maybe? Looking forward to it!

  13. “She wore a
    Raspberry beret
The kind you find in a second hand store
    Raspberry beret
And if it was warm she wouldn’t wear much more
    Raspberry beret
    I think I love her”

  14. We enjoyed today’s fill ins! We giggled at the dolls! Our mommy is now humming Raspberry Beret by Prince. She doesn’t know anything about Harry Potter so we don’t have guesses about S.

  15. New shoes are expensive.
I love to sip on the hot tea.
When I was a child I loved to play statues.
    One cat, I love.
Simply but to the point. Man, I live a boring life, have a great weekend.

  16. Joanie, excellent work with the slippers! So proud of you. And just think, now that you have Gremmie, of the damage the two of you could do as a team, if you just put your heads together.

  17. TW thinks new sneakers are the best. She just got some of her favorite brand. She never liked dolls either but loved stuffies and playing all sorts of sports. The raspberry beret is a pretty color for Emmy.

  18. 1. New Grass and new leaves are the most intoxicating perfume to me.

    2. I love to read and enjoy time under my market umbrella on the deck when it’s sunny and warm.

    3. When I was a child I loved to play with my dolls…I’ll admit it.

    4. One year, I will find many more sunny days than rainy ones…surely that can happen!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. That makes sense that you loved dolls and had 3 real babies 🙂

  19. That raspberry beret is cute. AND it makes me think of one of my favorite singers, taken much too soon – Prince.

EWWW I’m sorry Joanie yacked in your slippers. I guess she thought it was time for you to get new ones, too. 🙂

I enjoyed your answers. Thank you and Annie for hosting the fill-ins.

    Have a blessed weekend!
