Hi everyone. Could you please all keep purring and praying for Penny. The vet she saw yesterday was able to give her a more thorough exam and she has a lot of infected skin on her inner back legs. The vet added another antibiotic to go with the current one but wasn’t very hopeful. She is also on prednisolone and a pain killer. She gave us a week’s worth of meds and after that a decision needs to be made. I am praying for a miracle. Thank you to all of you purring and praying.
Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night. We thought we would mix it up with a question edition this week.
1. Have you ever noticed _____________________?
2. Would you choose ________________ or ____________________?
3. Do you think it’s possible to _________?
4. What _________ would you recommend for _________?
My answers:
1. Have you ever noticed how impatient people are now ? For example, when I see a car backing up in a parking lot, I stop- most seem to keep going instead of just waiting.
2. Would you choose a vacation or a staycation? Definitely staycation.
3. Do you think it’s possible to achieve your dreams? I do for the most part except if someone wants to do something athletic and is older and out of shape.
4. What tv show would you recommend for binge watching? I would recommend the best tv show ever, Resident Alien.
Today is U day on
The A-Z Blogging Challenge . U is a toughie, all I could come up with is ussies. so my flashback is from January 2017. An ussie of angels, Snowball and Phoebe. From the day Snowball arrived, she fell in love with Phoebe and was always by her side (or back).

A huge chorus of purrs from our gang for Penny to respond to the medicine and feel better! That is an adorable ussie of Angels Snowball and Phoebe! XO
Thank you. XO
Oh, dear…we will add our bestest POTP an pawyers for Penny. She sure has gone through a lot, lately. I hope her skin infection is not contagious to you or other kitties.
We think ussie is a great way to make the ‘U’ part of the challenge.
1. Have you ever noticed that mostly the obese people have the worst things in their shopping carts? (Not all of them but by and large…)
2. Would you choose A house/yard makeover or a wardrobe and personal makeover? (I think I would go with the house/yard, since I am comfortable and confident about who I am and the clothes I have to wear.
3. Do you think it’s possible to become fit and healthy if for most of your life you have been anything but? (that *could* happen if someone really worked at it…)
4. What style of music would you recommend for introducing someone to classical music? Music that is from about the mid 1700’s to about 1840 or so, though there are exceptions, (think Mozart, Hayden, Beethoven. Some Bach and other baroque composers might be good for that, too. The heavy romantics and more modern composers often use a lot of strange rhythms and harmonies that people might not enjoy. Or take someone new to classical music, to a live concert so you can explain things/answer questions.
Found your fill-ins are close to what I would have said had I done them this time.
Thank you. XO
Thank you. Not contagious, but awful for poor Penny. Thank you for these great questions. 1. Yes. 2. Definitely a house makeover. 3. yes, as you say if they really work at it. 4. I enjoyed your answer, but wouldn’t have come up with one on my own. XO
The two cats look like they have similar coats of fur . Maybe that’s why Snowball love Phoebe.
I reached here because of A to Z Challenge. My letter U is at https://booksreviewsandmore.com/u-for-unicorn-a-z-april-challenge-post/
COuld be. Thanks for visiting.
Sweet Ussie from Angels Snowball and Phoebe. I am sending love and prayers for Penny, and hope the new meds perform a miracle.
Thank you. XO
I love that photo of a kitten on the back of another cat! You’ve had some of the best kitties living together so peacefully. Penny is in my thoughts and I know this is not going to be an easy week. I have been a staycation cat mom now for 13 years. Never regretted a day at home.
Thank you. Haven’t been on a vacation in years because we won’t leave the kitties. XO
We will certainly continue our prayers for dear Penny – she’s having such a hard time and I’m sure she is terribly uncomfortable….makes us sad and we do hope something can be found that truly helps her. We also loved your fill-ins!! We always look forward to Fill-Ins on Friday.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Thank you. XO
Double prayers for sweet Penny. I hope she isn’t suffering and find relief soon. Sweet pic of Angels Snowball and Phoebe.
1. Have you ever noticed people are impatient and rude to servers in restaurants. Servers work hard for a living and should be treated with respect.
2. Would you choose to move to another city where it is more peaceful, and the people are friendlier. For several years, we’ve wanted to move to a city a little north of where we live.
3. Do you think it’s possible to accomplish your goals no matter what age you are. Yes, I try my best every day.
4. What hobbies would you recommend for entertainment, communication, and being creative. I would recommend blogging as it keeps me busy, and I’ve met oodles of wonderful people.
Thank you. She is on pain meds so she shouldn’t be suffering. Thank you for your great questions. 1. Yes, I agree. 2. No, I am never moving. 3. Yes. 4. I am with you on blogging. xO
Cute Ussie. Purrs and prayers continue for Penny. Great fill-in answers.
Thank you. XO
I am so sad about Penny’s problems; and she has no idea why she is feeling the way she must be feeling. Prayers for her- and for her comfort as well, I understand how you as her Mom feel. Going through that sadness is a rite of passage for all of we cat parents. We love them with all our hearts and we are unable to make it all go away for them. I think it’s like having children. They are, the cats, like toddlers in our families.
Thank you. I agree. XO
We are praying and purring for Penny and hope the new meds help. Love seeing Snowball and Phoebe.
Thank you. XO
Purring for Penny.
U is a difficult letter, but your ussie of your angels is wonderful.
Thank you. XO
Snowball and Phoebe are adorable! Supurr fill-ins, a staycation is epic and yes people are very very impatient today… Happy Friday!!! And Amber says very many thanks Auwnty Ellen for the book, she’s got it penciled in her diary to share!!! #soexciting 😻🐾😻🐾😻
Thank you. I am glad the book arrived. I can’t wait to read her review. XO
Many, many, many purrs and prayers for Penny!
Great fill ins –
Yes! to #1 – I hate that! Nobody waits anymore for a car to finish pulling out of a parking space. I always wait too.
Thank you. XO
Prayers for Penny – and I agree with resident alien!!!
Thank you. XO
Charlee: “We’re sorry to hear the news about Penny! All of us are keeping up the purrs for her here!”
Oona: “Oona is sending ninja purrs. They are highly effective, because they are ninjas.”
Lulu: “And we dogs are keeping up the tail wags!”
Chaplin: “We love your Ussie for U! It wouldn’t be easy to get an Ussie like that here since most of us don’t sleep close to each other very much at all. Not like the old days …”
Thank you for the ninja purrs and tail wags. xO
I have brain fog this morning and these look very difficult. More coffee.

We get so much quickly now it seems our ability to wait is about gone, I agree.
The ussie is beautiful, seeing your Angels Phoebe and Snowball is a delight. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
Thank you. XO
Penny is so much on my mind. I hope with all my heart the medication works some magic. I am so happy that Snowball found a friend in Phoebe. EveryBODY needs someone they feel safe with and close to. The photo is a very sweet Ussie. Ellen, my brain is fried today. I am going to pass on Fill-Ins. Hugs to the Meowing Crew and their Peeps.
Thank you. XO
Sending prayers and hugs for Penny. That is a cute ussie photo. Good fill ins. I would choose a staycation because my cat would not be happy if I left her.
Thank you. Same here I won’t leave my cats. XO
I’m so sorry that Penny’s health has worsened and pray you don’t have to let her go. ~hugs~ Please reach out if you want to share. I think being behind the wheel of a car makes people feel anonymous, so they act like jerks more often than they would face to face. Fortunately, I encountered a lot of kind drivers out and about today. Be well.
Thank you. Yes, I think you are right. XO
We continue to send Penny and everyone else in your menage ourrayers and love and POTP.

I’m sorry to hear that things still aren’t going well for Penny. That’s so very sad.
I don’t think I knew Snowball, but I really miss Angel Phoebe. <3
Thank you. XO
I think we missed these fill-ins, because they are not the ones mama and I filled in yesterday! Oops. And may we say a few words to you for Penny…sometimes it is time.
That’s all. Mama and I know it so well and it was definitely time for me and I was grateful for peace. Very hard on mama and papa….but still.
You didn’t miss them. Everyone’s is different because we did questions. I understand, but her eyes are still telling me she is not ready. XO
The Ussie of Angels Snowball and Phoebe are most awwdorable💗We keep sending Healing Pawkisses and Purrayers for your sweet girl Penny…We believe in miracles and keep hoping for the best🙏🏼🐾😘💞
