Hi everyone! I am joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and the Ten Things of Thankful Blog Hop.
I realize my art is awful this week, but it is not done yet. I am so eager to tell you about this that I couldn’t wait to finish. I signed up for The Kindness Rocks Project and these are the rocks I am painting. It is such a wonderful idea. You paint rocks with messages and cute pictures, you also write #kindness rocks project on the back and coat them with a clear coating. Then you place them somewhere for someone to find. Imagine having a bad day and looking down to see a rock that says “hope” or “faith”. They want everyone who does this to sign up so there doesn’t end up being a whole pile of rocks in one place, that would take away the fun. If you are interested, click here.
I will show you mine when I complete them.
Now for my thankfuls:
- I am thankful for a hubby that drags me outside to appreciate things like this rainbow:
2. For my Mom being willing to cat sit when the hubby and I got somewhere for a few hours. Otherwise, I would be filled with anxiety worrying about them.
3. The cute way my great- niece said couscous when I brought her some for lunch .
4. A new Ikea catalog in the mail.
5. For kind people in the world that come up with idea like The Kindness Rocks project.
6. More blueberries, zucchini and string beans from the garden.
7. Emmy getting on the bed during the night for a little affection ( even if it is about 3 AM) .
8. Figuring out how to start a free blog for Phoebe and her friend Kali, The Crotchety Cougars. Click here to visit
9. For Kali’s Mom doing all the photo editing for the cougars and writing the first post.
10. A nice night to watch for meteors earlier this week. I didn’t see any, but my hubby did before I went out.
Hey, that is a nice thing to do with those rocks!
I did not know there were meteors to be seen, were they the persiods??
Thank you π Yes, the perseid shower. The next one is Draconids October 7th.
Painting the rocks is a cool idea. I know finding one would brighten my day.
Yael from Playing In Catnip
It is a great project to spread happiness.
That Kindness Rock project sounds amazing!
It is a great idea.
Hehe. Did you know that there’s actually a cat food brand called NomNomNom ?
Oh. I thought I was at Spitty’s blog – embarrassing! Sorry!
We love the idea of Kindness Rocks, thank you for sharing! If it’s only about coloring a rock and writing one word, even our human could actually do it.
No worries π Your human should do it, she can build a catio so this would be super easy for her.
I saw Spitty’s post π
The Kindness Rocks idea sounds pawsome!
You should join π
A friend of mine introduced my daughter and I to the Kindness Rocks project and I am trying to convince my daughter to let go of some of the rocks the friend gave her to bring back with us to California from New York. My daughter hates letting anything go. LOL I told her we could paint our own rocks and hide them for others to find, and she seemed more amenable to that. π
That would be a great project to do with your daughter. π
Those are 10 great things to be thankful for π
We also like the Kindness Rock idea.
Your DH sounds like a keeper π
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Thank you. You should join the project π
Looks like the Kindness Rock project will be a lot of fun…………you have a great list of “thankfuls” too…….!!!
Hugs, Teddy
Thank you. Your Mom is an artist, she may want to join in the fun project. XO
That rock project sounds really sweet. Thank U for being nice to the world!!!
Aww..you are too sweet. XO
I hadn’t heard of that rock project. What a great idea!
I hope you join π
Ellen, you have a heart of gold! And I just about squeaked in delight when I found the Ikea catalig in the mailbox! I sat down and went thru it cover to cover, showing The Hubby about five items that I now WANT!!!
Glad to hear that Emmy jumped up; she’s gaining confidence.
Thank you, so do you π I am hoping to get to IKEA next Saturday. There are things in last year’s catalog I want and hope they still have.
Your rocks will be beautiful. Most artistic projects go through a messy stage.
So many happy things to bring smiles. Next May, if Little Girlie Cat survives (and as she’s in very good health it seems likely), she will be eligible to join the Crotchety Cougars.
Thank you. We look forward to Little Girlie Cat becoming a crotchety cougar π
That sounds like such a great project with the rocks. What fun to find one. Those are ten great things to be grateful for, for sure. You all have a super day.
Thank you. I hope you had a great day.
What an interesting project. Like your 10 things to be thankful for. I count my blessings each day and I am thankful for each blessing I have.
It is a good thing to do, we all have much to be thankful for.
Oh, I love the Kindness Rocks idea! Yours look wonderful already. I’m going to look more into this now, as I really do love this idea. And I really enjoy reading your Ten Thankfuls. That’s another wonderful practice, and something that I should start doing. (We love 3 am snuggles around here, too, Emmy!) Happy Saturday!
Thank you. I think you would make nice rocks, you should join in the fun. π
Hi everyone, joined Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty’s blog hop. How fun.
It is fun π
Great blessings! And I like your fill-ins. That reminds me I need to let my cat sitters know my mother passed away. I still don’t know when I’ll need to travel for the memorial service but they deserve a heads up. Be well!
I am very sorry about your mother. XO
Being thankful is ever so important. Many folks rush through life and never take the time to reflect on the good things. What a shame that is.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. βΊ
Thank you. I hope you have a nice weekend too π
I love this idea for the rocks! You are really a beautiful soul. Awesome. And the thankful list is a really great one. You inspire. I am thankful for people like you in my life. I am thankful for your friendship. Hugs.
Thank you, you are too kind. I am thankful for your friendship too. XO
Lovely things to be thankful for.
The rock painting sounds like a great idea. We look forward to seeing yours when you’ve completed them!
Purrs xx
Athena and Marie
Thank you, I am blessed. XO
What a wonderful project with the rocks! And so many great things to be thankful for.
Thank you π
I’ve been watching various people creating rocks for the Kindness Rocks project and I am loving it. My daughter and I are going to do it when I go to visit her in another week! π I love inexpensive little things that can surely bring smiles to the finders, such a clever idea! I am eager to see your finished ones.
I don’t think rainbows ever loose their magic no matter how old we are, we saw one here this week too, and my husband called me outside to see it. He is far more observant than me, it’s easy for me to miss things in my constant state of distraction.
I wish your Mom lived close by and I could borrow her to cat sit sometimes. π
Couscous is a funny word to say! I love Ikea catalogs too, creative simplicity!
Ahhh, your garden also has string beans, I think that creamed string beans fresh from the garden are one of my favorite things, a memory from growing up years.
The affection of our furkids, no matter the hour or what else we might be doing, is such a precious gift, I am always amazed at how they love to interact with us, even my feral kitties outside are eager to greet me now, and Andy loves to be petted and scritched!
Kind people, like you, are something I am always thankful for, if we all were a little kinder to each other it would be a much nicer world to live in! Have a great weekend and a wonderful week ahead! XOXO
I am so happy that you and your daughter will be participating in the kindness rocks project. That is funny that both our hubbies told us about the rainbows. I put cracker crumbs on my string beans- I guess that ruins the healthy part of them though. I am glad your ferals are getting friendly. I am thankful for you too. XO
Such a beautiful rainbow! Your husband is very sweet to drag you out π
Yes, he is sweet. π
We think this is a super cool idea!
Have a wonderful weekend…
Noodle and crew
Thank you. We hope you have a nice weekend too!
The rocks sounds like a fun idea! Keep on rockin’!!!
Thank you π
That does sound like a fun project! And we’ll definitely check out your new blog π
Thank you π
The Kindness Rocks program sounds a bit like the Peace Box Project which just ended last year only you had to write to get the boxes but you never knew what uplifting saying would be on your box.
I didn’t know about that, but it sounds good too. XO

ooooh we LOVE watching meteors too! Are you going to get to see the eclipse from your place?
We won’t get to see the eclipse in Massachusetts π
I love that rock idea. I think the idea is spreading. I’ve heard it several places. Very much needed.
I agree, it is much needed.
cool thing, that Kindness Rocks project.
#6 sounds good. our good is a bit slow. zucchini that Phyllis enjoys has been producing for the last few weeks, everything else is, like, I can’t imagine them (the plants) making before the cold weather. I suspect that: a) we planted later than we should have and 2) the spot we chose for the garden does not receive enough direct sunlight for the kinds of plants we have (corn, tomatoes, peppers and such).
live and learn, has been fun though
Sorry yours aren’t doing as well, they do need lots of sun.
I love a good meteor shower–and a good rainbow for that matter. The Kindness Rocks project sounds like a joy. Hope I stumble on to one myself!
I hope you find one too π
