Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone. I was just spending some time with Gremmie.

It has been quiet. around here. Mom and Grammie watched The Boy last week at his house. Mom thought it was cute when he wanted a snack and she asked him what he wanted and he said, “surprise me”. He is really into the big bad wolf right now and likes to put on wolf ears (from Great Wolf Lodge) and howl- glad they were at his house.

Speaking of ears. It is so unfair the ferals don’t have to pose with bunny ears, but the rest of us do. Plus, Dusty’s Easter dress shrunk so now I have to wear it. I don’t know how it shrunk when my mom didn’t wash it.

This is the listing for the house my folks cleaned out. 42 Fisher St, Medway, MA 02053 [Updated 3/22]

It was so full and they got it all emptied by themselves. I wish I could show you before photos, but that would be disrespectful to the deceased.

Unfortunately, there is a reverse mortgage so over half goes to that and then because there was no will, half of what is left goes to my folks and the other half to relatives who had not spoken to her in 25 years. So unfair!

Joanie’s book is being printed-finally and will be available soon.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Nosey Rosey, what a darling picture of you! Glad the house project is now done. That’s funny about the boy! Many congrats on getting the book out! XO

  2. ‘The Boy’ Sounds like he’s quite the character!
Hooray on getting the house listed. Hope it will sell quickly!
That’s great that your book is published! Congrats!!
Good thing the wolf howls were far away from you, Rosie, and I imagine all your furblings appreciated that too, LOL!

  3. What a wonderfully creative response from The Boy! He promises to be a real grown up winner! Some anthros do not like surprises but those who do are excited about the fun part of learning something they don’t know and having to handle that! Exciting. SO sorry your mama and papa were not the sole inheritors! But perhaps it was worth it, all that cleaning out. Congratulations on a great job.

  4. That is a sweet photo of you, Rosie. I am glad The Boy did his howling like a wolf at his house, and you had peace and quiet.
It is beyond unfair that your mom and dad worked so hard to clear the house, and relatives who never bothered before suddenly pop up to claim half of what is left.

  5. YAY on the book publishing……it’s a fabulous book! Too bad about the reverse mortgage situation – kind of threw a monkey wrench in the sale. I know you’re glad the clean out is done – that was a truly EPIC project!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

  6. Rosie it’s great seeing you this morning. And you should wear those bunny ears with pride. The other kitties don’t know what they’re missing. Good news that the house is for sale but not the best news for your mom and dad. Can’t wait to see the book!

  7. Rosie, that is a cute picture of you, and I’m glad your mom and dad were able to list the house. I look forward to when the book is available.

  8. What a charming reaction of that Little Boy, it made us smile😺Concatulation on your mommies book, she must be beyond excitement that is finally printed🎉That house looks amazing. We can see how much work your peeps had to clean it up. Glad they have more time for you now Rosie🙏🏼but we also know that it isn’t easy to let go now. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😘💞

  9. You know what? When I get to see my middle boy as he gets here to see me several times a year, 5 or 6 or so times, we will go to Cracker Barrel for one supper and he says that surprise me occasionally to the waitress when she asks about biscuits or cornbread.
I knew that was taking some time at your sister’s home. It is a wakeup call to the rest of us to tend to that necessity now…not make someone else go through it. It’s never deliberate by anyone. It just happens. I have a gazillion books. Hard cover. They are all treasures to me and re-read now and again. But…there are hundreds and hundreds. Rosie, you look wonderful. I always love seeing you. AND I can’t wait to buy the book. I’ll be first in line.

    1. When i go to Cracker Barrel I eat the cornbread and my mom eats the biscuits. 🙂 Keep anything that gives you joy. XO

  10. Sorry about the house. You both worked so hard on it. It has a lot of potential so hopefully it will sell fast. It behooves everyone to make sure they at least have a will in place. It’s also good to downsize. I had to clean out my mother’s house. Fortunately one of my brothers helped but there was so much that went into the trash. I had made her do a will a month before she died. All that is in the rearview now! Yes, clothes do shrink without washing.

  11. You’re so cute. Always good to see you.

So unfair indeed, but it happens more than often than not.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥

  12. Charlee: “We see Gremmie peeking out from behind you! Has he been telling you secrets?”
Chaplin: “Our Dada was oohing and ahhing over the hardwood floors in the house! He has got a thing for hardwood floors apparently. Here we only have tile, which is definitely hard, but is not wood …”

    1. Gremmie was trying to tell me a joke, but he missed the punchline. Our house has mostly hardwood floors too.

  13. rosie…it will bee a sell a bray shun for mom N dad when thiz hole houz a farez izza done deel…heerz hopin bye de end on de month it bee S.O.L.D 💰💰💰‼️😸🐾💚

  14. It does sound like things are quiet at your house, but the children’s house must be busy and fun.

Remind your folks to look into charging the estate for all the time they spent working on getting the house ready. They might be able to keep more of what it sells for that way, they may need to talk to a lawyer, especially if your dad was named by the court as the executor of the estate. The executor is usually entitled to be paid for their time and effort, and this was a lot of time and effort.

  15. I’m so sorry about the estate. 🙁 I recall slinking around like a cougar as a child after watching Mutual of Omaha nature shows. lol My mother chastised me when I mentioned stalking and killing prey. Hugs to your mom and dad and scritches to every kitty, inside and out.

  16. That is very unfair about the house, but unfortunately that’s often the way it works 🙁

  17. Hope the house sells quickly. Glad your book is being printed, that’s exciting. Rosie, that’s an adorable photo and great update.

  18. Rosie, so glad you spent some time with Gremmie♥ I know he misses Joanie. The Boy is going to be a delight! The shrink issue is going around… I learned about it myself. The legal stuff about the house does stink… I am sorry.
So tickled Joanie’s book is going to print… so excited!

  19. Hmmm, we have experienced the shrinking outfit phenomena a lot here too. What’s up with that? The Boy sounds like quite a character. Surprise me-too funny! We are sending loads of positive real estate sales energy. Best of luck.
