Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that now that it stays light out longer my mom and I were able to go see The Great One ice skate. Neither of us can see well enough to drive at night.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. My plans for this weekend include _________ and __________________.
2. I meant it when I said I _____________________________.
3. I should probably _________ more often so that _________.
4. I will never jump on the _________ trend.

  1. Ohio is not really a place to learn how to ice skate. We have our cold miserable weathers but I guess not cold enough for people to make that a common sport. I’m a little bit jealous that she can be so coordinated. I would fall flat on my face, oh yes sometimes I do that just walking on my two feet, lol.

    1. I got tickled. I can’t ice skate either and never ever even wanted to rely. I like being upright and balanced. Roller skating was my thing. I laughed when I read your last line. Me too. You have company on that!

  2. I don’t see well at night either. I’m glad you got to see The Great One ice skating. I was good at roller skating, but ice skating, no!

    1. She has improved, but I wouldn’t say that. 🙂 She has too many other interests to put all her focus on one thing. XO

  3. The Great One looks like she owns the ice! TGO, TM and The Boy all are being given the chance to see what makes them happy… how wonderful is that. Hope the riding lessons are still fun.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 She has improved a lot. During lessons some people are practicing and they were amazing with the spins. They haven’t ridden in a long time. That is something their dad’s mom takes them too and she is in Florida all winter. XO

  4. Charlee: “We’re glad you got to go out to the ice skating rink to watch the Great One! Our Dada says he remembers how cold those places are inside!”
Lulu: “Cold inside? Sounds like my kind of building …”

    1. Thank you. Same here- I used to love to roller skate then when I tried ice skating I kept falling. XO

  5. Am still driving at night, but The Hubby is a total no-go after dark.
Used to ice skate and roller skate as a young-un; nowadays, I’d have to wrap myself in bubble wrap, and no doubt I’d still hurt something!
    Hahaha!

    1. I used to roller skate, but never could ice skate. And I would need the bubble wrap too. 🙂

  6. I can’t see well for driving at night either. It was nice that you both got to see the Great One skate.

  7. How fun that you were able to watch The Great One skate. And I’m sure she appreciated the support.

  8. We want to see more skating….video??? LOVE skating, or rather mama did…now she would fall on her you know what, I am sure.
