Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is medical day so I will give you some updates. First off is Spooky, I finally got to talk to his vet and she told me that there is a blood test for lyme disease. He needs a recheck on his thyroid this Thursday so he will also get the lyme test then as well as his blood pressure checked( because of the protein in his urine). The dental got put on hold until these issues get resolved. He is doing really well and gives me a lot of trouble taking his pill.
Lucy ended up at the vet yesterday. She only peed in the morning Sunday, she usually goes twice a day, then she peed on the throw rug so I knew something was wrong. She also seems to be losing weight and has lost 10 ounces in only 2 months. I had a full senior blood panel done on her ( includes thyroid),I will get the results later today. I got her the antibiotic shot because I know it agrees with her. And I had them give her one dose of pain meds just in case she had any pain ( plus it makes her very happy ). I will keep you posted on everyone.
And here is the tummy shot you were promised. Joanie loves tummy rubs.
Lots of prayers for everyone! Keep us posted. β€
Thank you- I will. π

I hope Lucy is ok. I’ve never taken pain meds to get happy. I thought only humans did that. But I’m glad your mom thinks about pain control and your vet is willing to make sure you’re comfortable.
Thank you, I could have gotten more pain meds, bit I figured one dose is good for 12 hours and by then the antibiotic would be helping.
Scritches from meowmy to your tummy!!
Purrs to those with health issues, sheesh there are so many kitties that have things happening. We hope that answers and treatments can be found.

Weez sure purrayin’ everypawdy be okay. Weez a little lost (mommy be furgetful) as to what be goin’ on wiff Spooky??.. Cuz purrotein in da urine is what made da vet diagnose sis Lexi wiff CKD. As we posted, da ERD test isn’t da be all end all, yous still need blood tests, but there’s typically only a kupple weasons fur purrotein in da urine. Anyways, weez purrayin’ and what a cute tummy foto. Have a pawsum day.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Lexi
I am confused as to what is happening with Spooky too π His blood was good aside from thyroid when I originally brought him about a month ago. We never got to the bottom of the protein in urine which can be from many things- including CKD and lyme disease. I want to test for lyme because he was outdoors until 2013 when we insisted that if he lives with us, he had to stay in. I picked many, many ticks off him over the years and lyme is very common here ( our dog had it when she was alive and my hubby has had it 3 times) . High bp also can be a cause so the vet wants to do a bp check on him too. If the bp is OK I will schedule a dental because his teeth are in rough shape. Sorry if I got too wordy here π And Joanie is glad you like her tummy- she wants to show it off every Tuesday. π
Purring for the health of all of your babies…and that is one pawsome tummy!
