Happy Friday everyone! Today is book day and Lucy and I each have a book for you.
First, Lucy recommends Cats’ Letters to Santa by Bill Adler. The letters aren’t as funny as some of the blogging cats’ letters are, but it is worth a read. Her favorite was the request for a dead mouse so the owners would leave the cat alone.
I read Solomon’s Tale by Sheila Jeffries, I know I am way behind and there is already a Solomon’s Kitten book. The cover would have you believe it is a nice story about a kitten that has an angel to guide him. He has reincarnated to help a woman that had him as a pet when she was a child. I didn’t enjoy the book at all, it was so sad. There was an awful drunk husband who treated his wife and son poorly and their 2 cats even worse. It troubled me to keep reading it, but I have an inquiring mind and had to know how it ended. If you don’t like to cry, don’t read this book.
Lucy wanted to reuse the letter she wrote to Santa last year. I wasn’t blogging then, but I had posted them on Facebook:I think she has watched too many mob movies with us.
Have a great weekend everyone! Be sure to sop by Sunday when Phoebe is having another giveaway. It would be nice if you stop by tomorrow too 🙂
I know we wouldn’t like that sad book either. Have a fun weekend eveyrone!
Thank you-hope you have a nice weekend too!
Sometimes it’s so very totally true that “you can’t judge a book by its’ cover”…..What you think might be a great read just plain ISN’T !!! At least Lucy enjoyed her book………!
Hugs, Sammy
Yes, hers was funny. Solomon is well written, but too sad for me and I am sure a lot of people.
Hehehe… we like Lucy’s letter to Santa… 😉 MOL
We wouldn’t want to read that sad book either. It’s disturbing to read about things like that… 🙁
Have a wonderful weekend, sweeties! 🙂

Thank you and Lucy says thank you too. 🙂 🙂
I LOVE Lucy’s letter! There are sure no elves around here – Binga has made sure of that.
Good thing Binga tends to the elf problem, they can be a pain.
Gee, we better start thinking of our OWN letters to Sandy Claws!
Yes,you want to get those out so they arrive in time.
No elves here….I’m always good and don’t need watching. I like Lucy’s letter.
Sorry the book was so disappointing. Violence is never a fun read.
Lucy says thank you. It is hard to find a cat book that doesn’t make me cry. I bet Santa will be good to you.
So much to read, so little time. I prefer to spend that time reading books that make me feel good, not bad.
Me too, I hate it when I get tricked into reading a tear jerker.
THANK you for the warning. Mom hates hates hates reading things like that and she will not do it if she knows in advance. She slams them shut if she finds out after it’s too late and throws them away without recycling. She loves all animals and abuse to any of them stays in her mind forever and ever.
Your mom sounds just like me, I hate to read about that stuff and never forget.
