Hi everyone! I am still feeling crafty so I thought I would show you an easy fall project.
Mom made some like this a few years ago, but I just made these- well, she helped me a little.
You just take an old book ( not one about cats) and cut it into half an apple shape. Then you spread it out into an apple shape. You will need some glue to get it to stay as an apple.
Then you spray paint them red. Mom used regular brown paint at the top for a stem. And there was one she added a twig for a stem. Then add a ribbon.
These would make a great gift for Rosh Hashanah which begins Friday at dusk.
How do you like them apples?
Mom also made a black cat. She plans to add real whiskers as she finds them on the furniture. I will be sleeping with one eye open just in case she wants to steal any of mine.

We are also joining Create With Joy’s Inspire Me Monday ( yes, I know it is Tuesday, but I am a cat and can do what I want).
Wow thanks for the tip Penny, those are so very clever! It would be hard for me to find a book I’d be willing to let go of, though. XO
Thank you. Mom uses obsolete ones with outdated info that no one would want. XO
My human can’t bear to cut up any book!
I only use ones no one would want like outdated movie guides, etc.
Wow! Those is cool! Wes wonders if there is any old books left downstairs…wes shall has to goes and see! Thanks for sharing!

I hope your mom makes some. XO
It might work here with ancient confuser books…aka computer manuals. Pawppy guards all the books here with his life, we think, MOL!
Love that kitty! And Penny, I do not think you mom is going to steal any of your whiskers…ever. She just picks up the ones you and your furblings discard. *she* does that too, and she adds them onto a woolen stuffed kitty…it has way too many whiskers by now, she needs to start a new one:)
Thank you. That is a good idea to add them to a stuffed kitty. XO
I remember when your mom made them before. Such a clever idea! The black cat is cute.
Thank you. XO
Oooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I like the black cat!!!

Hey Penny, I remember when your Mom did this before with the books! The cat is darling. It’s fun when your Mom feels crafty!
Thank you. XO
Many years ago, i used an old magazine to make a Christmas Tree that way, but you are right, we can make lots of shapes. Thanks for the fun idea, Penny!
I have been wanting to try that by folding the magazine. Thank you. XO
Old textbooks would be ideal for this, since no one knows what to do with them but really hates to toss them away!
I have a stash of spent cat whiskers, but you cannot use any of them!
Yes, good idea. We have plenty of whiskers to spare. 🙂
Oh how fun. I always enjoy Penny’s tips. I learn so much.
