  1. Your personal assistant answer made me giggle. haha I bet you’d be a great one for him, too! Definitely a great promoter. 🙂

I think KaChoo would be a great boat name. And a great name for a train, too.

I think your writing is great, which reminds me that I need to get that review written for you!

I hope that all of your surprises are good ones, too. Have a blessed weekend!

    1. No worries on the review, I know you are busy. I hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

    2. No worries on the review, I know you are busy. I hope you have a blessed weekend too> XO

  2. Oooh, they are excellent fails! Love it. Mrs H said if you had a third hat fail, it would have been a HAT TRICK! If you are groaning at that joke then you’ll be joining me, too. MOL

    1. Thank you 🙂 Picture books don’t need descriptions because of the illustrations, but everything else is tough for me. I do need to work on a Phoebe book, she has a cameo in I Am Not a Skunk. 🙂 XO

  3. Yep–no surprise that you would love to be Nic Cage’s assistant (or ANYTHING!). Love the photo fails – hats are tricky – they will wear them with no problem for about 15 seconds which MAY or MAY NOT be enough time to take a photo! HAHA Love your fill-ins.

    Hugs, Pam

  4. Ellen,

Nicholas Cage? Really? You’re right I didn’t see that one comin’! LOL I really enjoyed his mewvies in the 90s and occasionally we’ll find a good film, not great, featuring him. It makes me wonder why he hasn’t landed any super parts in recent years. He’s a great actor! I loved him in the National Treasure films, don’t you? KaChoo would make a great boat name and so cute. 🙂 I thought being descriptive in writing is a good thing, is it not? Oh wait, they want more showing than telling in writing, right? I much prefer good surprises to bad. The bad ones are mounting on this end. I shall prevail, though. 😉 Have a funtastic Friday and thanks for hosting, my dear!

    1. I thought there was going to be a National Treasure 3, but nothing yet. My favorites are Family Man and Peggy Sue Got Married. Have a nice weekend! XO

  5. I too think your writing skills are great. I sure enjoyed your two books. Love the photo fails. No one will wear a hat around here either. Have a great day.

  6. KaChoo would be a great name for a boat. Nicholas Cage? Who would have thought???? I think your writing skills are pretty dang good! My Fill-Ins…
    1. I would love to be a personal assistant to Mr. Glen Campbell, when he was alive of course.
    2. If I had a boat, I would name it Our Sanity. Which we did!
    3. I want to improve my night time picture taking.
    4. Surprises are the best if they are happy surprises.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I didn’t know you have a boat- very cool and I like the name 🙂 Yes, I figured that would be your answer for #1. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

        1. Everything costs money for upkeep, but if it is too much work, it takes the fun away. XO

  7. I knew your answer to #1. I love the name of your boat. Way cool.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

  9. I think you write pretty good. TW needs to work on her photography skillls. MOL! Hmm, we’ve got to get you and that Cage guy hooked up somehow.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I need a lot of work on photography too. TW is a lot better than I am. Yes, I sure would like that- my hubby may not though. XO

      1. I sure did. 🙂 I have seen every movie of his, although there were a few too bad and evil for my taste even with him.

  10. I liked your fill-ins I have contacted Mr Cage he will be in touch shortly 😉

  12. Imagine being a personal assistant to Nicolas Cage! That would be a blast for you. I’ll put in a good word for you if I ever run into him 🙂

    Happy weekend! xo

  13. Loved your fill ins for the week.
Dad want to take these on
    1. Benjamin Franklin.
    2. Excitable Boy. The name of my Scarab. Yeah Don Jonson ate his heart out
    3. Procrastination. Maybe tomorrow
    4. The thing that gives life flavor even if it is sometimes a bit sour.
    Thanks these were fun!

    1. Thank you 🙂 And thanks to your Dad for his answers, I enjoyed them. Ben Franklin is a great choice 🙂 Fun name choice 🙂

  14. Can’t find the hop on either your site or the other one. I left my link in previous comment. If you do have the link for the hop please give it to me.

  15. I knew you’d put that for #1! I’m still hoping beyond hope that you get to meet Nic Cage one day. And I love that we both decided to name our pretend boats after our first kitties. Writing skills, yes, that is something I am also always working to improve. I think writing is one of those areas in which finding your own style takes lots of time. And you are so right about surprises, because they really can go either way.
