Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that I got to meet Lola and Lexy’s mom, Dawn. She is very sweet and a lot of fun.

Sammy is thankful that it is corn season. ( Don’t worry, he only had 2 bites).

And here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo:

This art show is a bit odd,
I guess you could call it mod.
I like this polar bear in a blizzard,
but the artist is no wizard.
If you want to visit one of the great galleries
Making sculptures out of litter and pee
now that takes creativity.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.  Sandee, #2 is for you.

1. I would love to be a personal assistant to ___________________________.

One more thing- Our prayers are with all affected by the storms in the central part of the US.

  2. So happy you got to meet Lola and Lexy’s Mom and had some fun with her! We also think you had some fun with the photo this week because it’s a GREAT poem – we agree with you by the way that the Tabbies of Trout Towne are the most CREATIVE artists we know….hahaha

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Thank you 🙂 Meeting Dawn was wonderful. And I am a big fan of the Tabbies of Trout Towne 🙂 XO

  3. How wonderful that the two of you were able to meet and talk. I would love to meet the both of you!

I was stumped trying to think of a poem. YOU however, have it nailed!!!

  4. OhMyGosh… Trout Talkin’ Tabbies’ works of pee art! Funny beyond words! I certainly find them more amusing then the white canvas.. Ha! Always nice to meet a blogging buddy. I am glad Sammy got to enjoy a little corn. We had corn in a Southern boil Saturday and I want more!

  5. Your poem is so funny, i agree i am not so impressed by some modern art. The Tabbies, though, are geniuses.

Sammy looks quite happy about getting corn, and i’m so glad you got to meet a blog friend IRL, that’s always been a positive thing when i’ve done it.

Praying for all those who were victims of the storms. It’s a horrible feeling, i know.

    1. It is fun to meet blogging friends 🙂 Maybe someday we will meet. XO

  6. A corn eating kitty. Cute.

I love your poem. You do these so very well.

Glad you got to meet a blogging buddy. It’s always fun.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  7. Terrific poems and how cool you got to meet Dawn, she really is a cool one! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  8. It looks like you had a lovely time with Dawn. Given the bag next to you, it seems you went to the Cheesecake Factory? Great choice! Sammy, you eat veggies? You should teach pup Astrid here a lesson or two. She refuses to eat any and all veggies, and fruits. She’s not into health food. And your poem is, as always, absolutely wonderful! A polar bear in a blizzard – perfect! I can’t wait to see your fill-ins tomorrow!

    1. Yes, we had a nice meal and a good time. Silly Astrid doesn’t know what she is missing. XO

  9. How wonderful you got to meet your bloggie friend!

  10. How sweet that you got to meet. I already know the answer to the first fill-in. ~grin~ And the police lineup is hilarious. Sweet, Prancie!

  11. Corn season is a mixed blessing for us, the cats want to play with the husks and can’t because they can cut their mouths, then they want to eat that butter slathered corn and we’re dancing around trying to eat without getting cat bites in the corn – MOL! Your photo of Sammy eating corn is a familiar scene at our house this season – MOL!

    1. I always shuck the corn at the grocery store 🙂 And when ours comes in, I shuck it outside. 🙂

  12. I’ve met Lexy & Lola’s human too, and we had fun at a cat cafe! We pray for those who are dealing with the weather-related issues.

  15. OMC, best poem ever. We always wonder how those Trout Tabbies come up with those great designs. So cute actually seeing Sammy eating the corn on the cob. Dawn is a real sweetie. Mom has met her a few times. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

    1. Thank you 🙂 I think the tabbies should have a book 🙂 Yes, Dawn is a sweet lady. XO
