Wordless Wednesday

Gremmie can’t get wet so I take him sledding indoors.

A lot of you have expressed a desire to declutter. I found a great site called Happy Organized Life ( I am not affiliated with it, but I want to spread the word). She has a declutter challenge starting soon and if you sign up for her emails, you get a free download list to help you declutter and clean your home. There is a section on toys and kids’ rooms, but I plan to replace that with kitty related things like washing their bedding, defuzzing cat trees and going through toys to make sure they are clean and still safe.

  1. That is nice of you ta help Gremmie enjoy sports indoors! We are more inclined (pun) to help our friends hide unner furniture.

BTW, TBT has been declutterring (on his own) lately. He has piles of specialized boos the library might want, old books for the recycle bin (who needs a 60 year old chess book?), piles of old electronics to recycle, tires to recycle, some stuff to sell, some stuff to give away on Craig’s List, decent clothes that “shrunk”, etc. He even found stuff like Windows 3 etc on a back shelf.

  2. Oh boy! That’s a great sled-run too and I bet Gremmie LOVES to ride down that snowless hill……plus it’s WARM inside….the best of both worlds.

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. Ellen,

First off, thanks for calling attention my not-so-WW linky party to your peeps! Gremmie sledding makes me think of our kids doing the same thing with their Barbies or GI Joes. 😀

I will hop over to Happy Organized Life to check out her decluttering challenge. I don’t know anyone who can’t use that kind of help. I’ve not nearly tackled this job as aggressively as I’d like but there’s really only so much I can do without DH around but when I do identify something as junk then I toss it. Slow progress is better than no progress, right? I’ll see ya around, my friend. Have a good day!

    1. I am glad more bloggers are joining your hop. I agree, everyone needs to do some decluttering. XO

  4. Where on earth did you find that adorable sled? It’s ideal! Happy decluttering. I’d have to start by removing my SO or I’m swimming upstream. ~shakes head~ Be well, my dears.

  5. You are so innovative, Joanie! I bet that sledding was great fun for Gremmie. And thank you, Ellen, for sharing the declutter challenge with us! I’ve gotten quite a bit of decluttering done so far this year, but still have plenty to go, so this challenge will help me along. Happy Wednesday!

  6. Sledding indoors is a good thing. Too cute.

Decluttering is different for some folks than other folks. You have kitty things, I have closet issues. I’ve got in under control though.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  7. Sledding indoors sounds great, as long as you don’t try to do it down a whole flight of stairs. That is fun but too dangerous.

  8. Oh you are wise not to take your Gremmy outside. I heard that legend – something about if he gets wet he would multiply into all kinds of Gremmies and some may not be very nice. He looks happy sledding indoors with you! Purrs!

Thanks Miss Ellen, for that linky! Mom is in the decluttering mood.

  9. OMC Ya’ wanna start your declutter with more clutter? Can you ‘magine how many new emails you’ll have to delet? MOL Mommy says no lists needed, she just need sto throw out anythin’ she hasn’t seen, used or touched in the last 6 months. We just gotta make sure ain’t any of the stuffs she throws out belongs to us. Big hugs

    Luv ya’

  10. That is very thoughtful of you Joanie! Especially since Gremmie doesn’t have a snowsuit to keep dry!

Declutter is a nine letter word here ;p…our Mama needs to get on it but she doesn’t like to get rid of things she is convinced she will need some day . . .

the critters in the cottage xo

  11. Our Mom is always about the de-cluttering but not when it comes to our toys! We draw the line there. This year, she plans on figuring out how to sell some things, furniture and big non-cat things mostly, and she says the scary part is whether anyone will buy the stuff so she can feel she actually de-cluttered!

  12. Mom says thanks for the link. She’s going to share it with Dad as well.

    1. That was sweet of you to donate toys to your brother. We have a lot of toys, but, we just switch them around for different cats to play with. I wish your mum could declutter my hubby’s stuff, he is most difficult. Sometimes I get rid of some stuff that I know he forgot about ( at least I hope he never remembers). XO
