Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is medical day and opt to adopt day. I figured I would give an update on the kitties.

First off, Millie has been really good with his meds. I have to give him a pill twice a day and so far, so good. Luckily, it is a tiny pill so he has no trouble swallowing it. I also learned a trick from one of the vets years ago. After I give the pill, I blow on his nose and he swallows.

Joanie is almost all healed up now. She was so cute the other morning, she was sitting on the sink and stood up to look at herself in the mirror. It looked like she was checking her wound. I wish I had a camera with me at the time, but I didn’t for obvious reasons.

Today is Opt to Adopt Tuesday and I am going to post Autumn again as she is still looking for a home. She needs to be an only kitty- I pray she gets her forever home for Christmas. Here she is: http://www.people4animals.org/catsforadoption.htm . I am going to meet her in person today when I drop off my Santa gifts- I will be blogging about it tomorrow.http://dogsnpawz.com/tuesdays-tails-adopt-this-beautiful-pit-bull/#.VGsl9bDu3IU

    1. Thanks for sharing, she has been there over a year and it would be so nice for her to get a forever home.

  1. OH how sweet to see the Hanukkah celebration going on there in the last picture.
    Love and kissies.

  2. Paws up for Millie and Joanie! The blowing thing does not work on Binga – she is a really contrary cat when it comes to being pilled. If she won’t or can’t take it in her food, my human has to shove the pill down her throat to get her to swallow it. Whenever possible she asks for syringe meds – it is easier that way for her.

  3. Gosh that pilling trick is way cool……good to know…….and we’re happy Joanie’s healing well AND checking herself out in the mirror! I sure hope Millie gets her forever home – sending purrs of good luck!

    Hugs, Sammy

    1. Thank you- hope you have a nice Tuesday too and that ROxy is getting better every day.

  4. That is good to hear that Joanie and Millie are doing well.
I am really lucky that Flynn is good to take his daily thyroid pill. I pop it back his throat and make sure it goes down with a very small syringe of water (1cc). When he was younger, he was a terror to pill.
Thank you for the lovely surprise in the post for Flynn, it is very kind of you. I have taken photos and posted about his scarf and silvervine ball. The post has just been published. He loves the ball, and when he has finished playing with it, he lays on top of it.

    1. Aww….that is so sweet, I am going to check out your post now. Thank you for posting about it.

  5. The Hanukkah photo is so cute and clever. Thanks for the pill-giving advice. Giulietta will be starting on some pills tomorrow. I have been using pill paste, but I might try your method. Ho, ho, ho, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    1. Thank you for sharing, she has been at the shelter over a year. She is FIV positive and doesn’t like cats, but she is a love bug.
