The Grass is Greener?

Happy Monday everyone! Mom is letting me do the post for fun and games today. She saw a cute grass container on Pinterest so she decided to make it for us. Here is the link:

Mom cut the bottom of a 2 liter soda bottle and painted it to look like a kitty. Then she put some little rocks in the bottom to help absorb water and added potting soil. She planted oat grass seeds:003005and watered them. In less than a week we had fresh grass.

003Take a good look. My grass is mostly white?? Mom tried to say it was gourmet grass like the white asparagus, but I don’t believe it. Dad said it didn’t get enough sun.Geez Mom, you clearly don’t have a green thumb, do you? At least you did an OK job painting the kitty.

  8. Oh we love the kitty face on the container and that grass looks pretty darn tasty! Who cares what color it is – it’s yummy and that’s the important thing!

    1. Thank you 🙂 She checked the package and it says variegated so I guess it is supposed to have some white and some green- they all taste the same.

    1. You are so sweet my little purrince. My Mom looked at the pseed package and the grass is supposed to be variagated so it is OK to be the 2 colors- it all tastes yummy to me. I wish I could send you some, but it would be hay by the time you got it. Do you know the exact day of your birthday? Mine is in July too, but we don’t know the exact date.     1. Mom doesn’t like us throwing it up inside, but we aren’t allowed outside so it is the price she pays. At least the white grass won’t stain- MOL.

  24. We don’t think grass would even get as tall as yours around here…some blue toned kitty would nab it long befur it gets to be that tall…and maybe a sunny window is the best spot after the seeds germinate? Then the blades would all be green:))

  28. Mom tried to grow grass on several occasions but with no avail. I have to admit mom and plants that is a great failure. Or she she forgets to give them water or she gives them to much water… both not good.

    Oh well, one day she will work it out.
