Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I have had a great week. I got to see my Grammie. I love her so very much. And I got a letter in the mail from my purrince with a photo of him cuddled up to a photo of me. I am such a lucky girl.

My mom actually bought me some treats. And look-we found a 4-leaf clover. Mom thinks she found it, but I led her right to it. Don’t worry, I didn’t eat it- she put it in her checkbook, she said that needs all the luck it can get- MOL!

Poor Daddy, he was carrying me across the street and a neighbor drove by and beeped and was laughing at him. What is so funny about a man carrying a pretty kitty in a pink dress?

This week for Sammy’s Poetry Day, I decided to choose my own M word. I chose my fellow Crotchety Cougar, Madi to write about.

Madi
Madi is everyone’s friend
on her, you can always depend
Her favorite color is red,
she loves to nap on the bed.
Madi is also a Cat Scout
she would never pout
She doesn’t have a single quirk
and boy that girl can twerk!

And here are the Friendly Fill-ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

  1. You do have a lot to be thankful for…and maybe send some thankful attitudes to the silly man who taunted your Daddy. I think he needs an adjustment:)

Yur poem is sweet and funny too!

Four leaf clovers, yup, we could use one in our check book, too!

  2. YAY MADI! You chose a wonderful “M” to write about today. Madi is everyone’s “bestie” as she’s a friend to all. I know she will be happy when she reads your poem – she’s a special girl!

    Hugs, Teddy

  3. What fun to have a poem about Madi. She is the greatest. Silly person that honked at the Dad carrying you.Not nice at all. You all have a great day.

  4. While i might wave, i wouldn’t want to honk at someone carrying a cat, the cat might get scared and try to jump, someone could get hurt.

Nice poem, nice thankfuls, and i hope you have a great Thursday!

    1. That is a good point, many kitties would get scared and jump. Glad you like my poem 🙂 Thank you.

  5. What a wonderful week you’ve been having, Phoebe. A handsome purrince, yummy treats, and a four-leaf clover! Now, you tell your dad that he should feel no shame for carrying gorgeous you wherever he pleases. The neighbors surely were just jealous. And we love your poem! We need to go visit Madi. I wonder if she’ll twerk for us?

  6. Ellen,

I don’t think I’ve ever found a four leaf clover. I remember we used to look for them with the children for St. Patty’s Day. They loved it!

Loved the poem. Forget the rude driver. People don’t have good manners or fashion sense like they used to. Don’t give it a second thought!

Got tomorrow’s fill-ins. See ya then!

    1. Thank you, glad you like the poem 🙂 We have found several four leaf clovers in our yard over the years. I look forward to your fill-ins 🙂

  7. I love your poems. They either make me smile or laugh and sometimes both.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

  8. I am so glad you got to see Grammie. That is such a silly man who didn’t appreciate your beautifulness and daddy carrying you across the street.

  9. Congratulations that you won Caren’s give-away!

P.S. Human masculinity is soooo fragile. Some think that man can’t be cat persons , and certainly not carry cats in pink dresses around. …. Crazy. A real man is somebody who considers himself male (including transgender persons who haven’t had surgery). Easy and plain. 🙂

    1. I am thrilled to have won the giveaway. Luckily, my hubby wasn’t upset about the man beeping and laughing. He loves his Phoebe.
