Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that Brian had a blog and we all got to know what a sweet kitty he was. I am also thankful I live in an area that experiences all the colors of fall.

This is our burning bush.

Sorry, I skipped the poem this week. It was a funny photo too, but I just couldn’t come up with something.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. Before winter arrives, I need to stock up on _________________________.
2.Only _____________________ until _______________________________.
3. I was relieved to find out _________.
4. _________ was a shocker.
One more thing.. If you are on Facebook, could you please vote for my friend, Jamie. He is the excellent graphic designer who designs my blog headers.  He is also a cat lover. 🙂 He is in the running to win a horror photo shoot and a monetary prize. Click here.
Thank you to all who vote for him.

  1. I was so glad to know Brian, too. An absolute sweetheart of a kitty. We are very sad for his family. That’s one gorgeous bush! I love fall and it’s very beautiful here, but it’s still a ways off. We’re still mostly green, we have a few more weeks wait, I think. XO

  2. We have plenty of color here, too…and more to come when we get a frost.
Did you put googly eyes on that gorgeous bush for Halloween?? LOL!

We too are thankful that we got to know Brian…and all his family too of course, through his blog. While we will miss him, we know that all the memories will be with us always.

  3. That is a beautiful bush. The eyes made me laugh! Brian will be missed by so many.

  4. You have to love burning bushes at this time of year. We have one in back of our deck. I’m letting it grow naturally (no weird pruning) and it’s just lovely.

  5. I’m thankful to have found Brian’s blog, too. And for this great community. ~hugs~ My buckeye tree leaves just turn brown and fall but the neighbors give us all a beautiful autumn show. 🙂

  6. Charlee: “Our Dada says they used to have a burning bush at his house when he was a kid! He doesn’t remember it looking at him with those googly-eyes though.”
Chaplin: “Maybe he just wasn’t paying attention …”

  7. Brian was a special kitty for sure ~ lovely burning bush photo ~

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

  8. Ellen, thank you so much for the kind words of the passing of our Brian. You know that gut punch more than any of us, sadly. We appreciate your friendship so very much. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
